Tazerin

Feeling that life was too unfair, especially since her back started to feel sore and her body was numb even after stretching a bit, because of the hard surface of the cave floor, Luna decided to wear the black cloak she 'bought' from that shop in Vandivod, I mean, she didn't exactly steal it, she left a gold coin, which was way over the actual price, because she didn't have change, so it totally wasn't her fault. This time, she couldn't just randomly wonder in the city, as there was guards stationed around the gate. Feeling a bit anxious, she wondered if she needed to get a travel permit or some sort of ID, but she remembered her trusty weapon, money! Normally, you could just bribe the guards with money, so, with that thought, she didn't worry anymore and just stood in line.

After a short while, the merchant selling cabbages in front of her was allowed in, and the guards at the gate turned to her, "State your business for coming to Tazerin." The guard didn't waste any time, and went straight to the point. Luna sneakily pushed a gold coin towards him, and the guards expression showed shock, as gold coins were extremely expensive for ordinary people like him. Most people only gave a couple of silver coins, and he let them in, not only that, even his whole years salary put together was not one gold coin. Of course, Luna didn't know that, as the shopkeeper that gave her the money was extremely generous, so he gave her 15 gold coins, when the actual price of a mid-grade healing potion was only 12 gold coins.

The guard hurriedly let her in, not wanting his precious chance of obtaining a gold coin to go away. Seeing as she entered the city, she gave him the gold coin. Same as last time, no one really glanced her way when she entered with the cloak on, as if the city's residences were used to seeing strange people wearing black cloaks wondering around, but maybe they were, seeing as the guards at the gate were so easily bribed, so some highly famous assassin could just wear some disguise and stroll into the city, without even sneaking in. Unlike the blue wood buildings that looked highly unstable from Vandivod, the materials that were used to make the houses, were instead made out of sturdy bricks that looked like it could actually withstand some damage.

Even the poorer people in the city weren't as bad of as the people in Vandivod, and the place was clean, not reeking of sweat and rotten fish. There was many inns in the city, with the more extravagant inns and housing placed the farther away from the gate, closer to the centre. Similar to Vandivod, the royal palace was at the very centre, on-top of a hill, Luna soon found out that unlike Vandivod, there were 3 rings in the city, with the outer-ring being the place where the commoners lived, the mid-ring where the nobles lived, and the inner ring, where the royals lived on the top of the hill, with the more wealthier noble families living along the hill. If someone wanted to enter the mid-ring from the outer-ring, they would have to go through another set of gates, with stricter guards, so if someone wanted to enter without any good reason, they wouldn't even be allowed a glance at the mid-ring!

But since Luna was only here for the Annual Auction that she heard the people talking about, which happened every year, which was going to be selling all the expensive stuff that they gained over the year, so she didn't bother going to check out the gate connecting the outer and mid rings and instead went straight to a nearby Alchemy Guild and decided to sell some of her healing potions and the herbs she had found in the cave where she first spawned in to get money to actually be able to afford the entrance fee of the auction. The Alchemy Guild wasn't big, but it wasn't small either, when Luna walked in, she could see lots of people wearing white clothing scurrying around the place, some carrying vials for potions, some holding various herbs to make pills and she even saw someone who was, by the looks of it, on trash duty, collecting all the leftover dregs from the failed pills concoctions. Going to the reception, Luna saw an orange-haired woman writing down stuff, and as she got closer, the woman said, without glancing up, "What business are you here for?"

Shocked at how cold she was, as the receptionists on Earth were a lot more welcoming and friendly, Luna took a moment to respond, "I'm here to sell some potions and herbs to the Guild."

Finally, the receptionist looked up, "Place your items on the stone tablet over there, and I'll get someone to escort you to an appraiser to make sure you're not giving us the wrong stuff."

Following the instructions of the receptionist, she took 4 of the remaining 14 mid-grade healing potions and all the herbs she had from her spatial ring and put them down on the stone tablet the receptionist gestured to. By then, the receptionist had already gone back to writing and a young man wearing dark green came out of a nearby room, and after silently gesturing for her to follow him, he picked up the stone tablet and walked into the room next to the one he had walked out of. Placing the tablet on the only table in the plain room, he walked out. In the room was an old man with a long, white beard, who Luna was guessing was the appraiser. Without talking to her, which made her feel like everyone here in the Alchemy Guild was very cold and not nice at all, the old dude inspected the items.

After a while of boring silence, the the old man exclaimed out in surprise."Seven-Coloured Lucky Herbs! Heavens, how on earth did you manage to get that?"

"Is it rare? I just randomly found it?"

Hearing that, the old man wanted to puke out blood, Seven-Coloured Lucky Herbs were extremely hard to get and only grew in certain places that met the requirement, and no-one even knew the requirement, as there were too few of the herbs that were discovered by people. Even more so, Seven-Coloured Lucky Herbs were the main ingredient in making Multicoloured Lucky Pills, which increased your luck score and cultivation talent by 50%! But because Seven-Coloured Lucky Herbs were so hard to get, and the other ingredients, such as the Prism Sphere, were all rare and hard to access, adding onto the fact that each concoction only gave 1 pill, only the royal families had a few, even the Vieazin royal family, which was the biggest kingdom, only had 3, stored the most guarded part of their royal treasury. Now this random person from unknown whereabouts just straight up bought 12 whole stalks of it! Finding one was rare enough, and this person was treating it as if it was worthless!

Looking through the other items, he was even more astonished! There was so many different kinds of herbs, some rare and some common, which made the old man think that the person in front of him scrolled unknowing into a herb garden! By the end, the total of all the herbs and the 4 mid-grade healing potions were already worth 843 gold coins, with all those rare herbs and the healing potions, which were hard to make, and required a tier 3 alchemist to make it successfully within the first 10 tries, but adding on the 12 Seven-Coloured Lucky Herbs, the final price had already shot up to around 6 Jade Spheres! with the 12 Seven-Coloured Lucky Herbs, it was already enough to make 4 Multicoloured Lucky Pills!

The Alchemy Guild had all the rest of the ingredients, because they were saving them up, hoping that they might stumble on a good chance and obtain some stalks of the Seven-Coloured Lucky Herbs. Each pill normally sky-rocketed above 10 Jade Spheres, but that was the successful ones, so the price was only 6 Jade Spheres. But since she had come with so many goods, and bought so many rare herbs and healing potions, the old man added on another 1000 gold coins. Luna wasn't stupid, she knew the effects of the herbs from appraising the herbs, so she knew how much they were all worth a lot, but 6 Jade Spheres and 1000 gold coins?? That was ridiculous! The most she'd thought she'll earn was around 1000 gold coins! Not 1000 gold coins plus on 6 Jade Spheres, which were a whole 10,000 gold coins!

Feeling both shocked and happy, Luna accepted the money, which was put into a black card. Seeing the confused expression on Luna's face, the old man explained. There was a card system, as carrying so much money was to heavy and was easy for people to be robbed. The simplest card was a bronze card, which meant it carried more than 1 silver coin. Then was a silver card which carried more than 1 gold coin. Then a black card, which meant they carried more than 1 jade sphere, and lastly a crystal card, which carried more than 10 jade crystals, which was already 100,000 gold coins! Happily accepting the card, Luna's money problems were completely solved, as now she could go to the auction and hopefully buy something good to aid her in her levelling up.
