The Destruction of Varizen

As she watched Varizen crumble to the ground in front of her, all the buildings that made it lively falling to the ground, she grinned in delight. All traces of greenery had long been destroyed, leaving only random splotches of blood and mauled, partly eaten bodies laying around. She had sent one of the weaker crows to pick her up so she could personally be here. Her crows were using their powers to absolutely wreck the surroundings, dust particles ending up everywhere, as the buildings collapsed onto people, and her other beasts tearing apart the people who had tried to escape to shreds, but that was the least of her worries right now, for she couldn't find Crozina, who was supposed to have taken a family vacation back to her holiday home after she finished her latest mission, scouting out in Foreta. Sure, she had found her family, who were now huddling in one of the empty buildings guarded by her beasts, so when she found Crozina, she could watch in despair as her family died right in front of her, like what she did to her best friend, Zaria. She knew that Crozina was indeed in this town, she had tracked her carriage back to this village, and made sure that she was actually in the carriage, but even after looking for an hour, she still couldn't find her in this puny little town. She even sent most of her beasts to guard any exits that she could potentially escape from, so she couldn't simply just slip out, and since none of her had beasts spotted her, where could Crozina be?

Frustrated, she kicked a rock and it landed on a part of the flooring of Crozina's house that wasn't destroyed, but held her breath when she realised that the sound was hollow.. Which meant that there was a secret hole which could potentially be the where Crozina escaped from. Picking up another rock and knocking on the flooring with it once more, it confirmed her theory, the spot under the floor was definitely hollow. Ordering one of her beasts, a tiger mutant, to rip off the floor hiding the hole, as she couldn't bother looking for the way to go down, she'd already been searching for Crozina for around an hour, and who knows how far away Crozina could already be. There was indeed a hole under the floor, which led deeper underground. Cursing, she regretted not checking the areas near her house, seeing as Crozina came from a rather wealthy family, who was rumoured to have been involved in some shady business, so it makes sense that they would at least have some hidden rooms and escape tunnels. Ordering some other beasts to kill Crozina's family, and to feel free to eat them, she bought some of her more dangerous beasts that she had struggled with taming and went into the tunnel.

She was quickly running out stamina, her breaths ragged and gasping for air, but she knew that she needed to get out of there, and couldn't stop. All she had wanted to do was visit her family, try and convince her grandfather to give the company to her father, again! Her father always relied on her to do his dirty work, she was honestly sick of it. She preferred just taking a nice break, then to go back and try to woo Vindic again. When she told him that 'she' had died, he actually refused to believe it! He even kept searching for 'her'! He didn't even care when she went missing for a week after crying at home about him, why should he care about 'her'? As if 'she' could survive her best quality beasts! But when she saw a murder of crows that she knew had been tamed immediately, seeing she was a beast-tamer herself. She had already gotten the instincts to run, and when she literally saw 'her' in the sky, she just knew that 'she' was coming for her. Somehow, by luck or the will of the fates, 'she' had survived, and was definitely here to take revenge, so she cast away her family, not even bothering to warn them about the danger, as they were just tools for her to rise, and opened their emergency exit and after climbing in, bolted it shut, sealing her family's fates. She knew that 'she' would search for her, and since 'she' didn't know about the exit, 'she' would definitely spend some time looking for her in the town.

But she couldn't just let that tiny amount of time go to waste, unlike her, 'she' still had beasts who 'she' could definitely ride, and even if the tunnel was on the small-scale, they had especially designed this tunnel so that they could escape on their beasts, seeing that most of their family were beast-tamers, and she'd never regretted that decision more. Looking forward, she could at least finally see the faint light that indicated an exit, and practically dashed towards it, forgetting that she'd had already been sprinting for half an hour already, just wanting to escape the tiny tunnel that made her feel heavily claustrophobic. Practically leaping out from the small hole covered in vines, emerging to a vast green forest, she grinned, because she knew exactly where this is was, and the outskirts of Foreta never felt more welcoming. She now had hope. Most of the beasts in Foreta were all higher quality than the normal beasts outside of it, and she'd just come from this part of the forest to scout, it was perfect.

The creature that seemed to have been born from the darkness growled in hunger. It's favourite snack was naturally humans, the other beasts far too 'unique' in their tastes. The tigers were bland, the herbivores were dull and stale, some other beasts with explosive blood, or poisonous fur, and yet human flesh was perfect to eat! The only problem being the fact that Foreta was rather low on that resource. Sniffing it's nose, it identified a new scent, mouth pulling into a creepy grin full of teeth. The human had appeared around here before, a nice, juicy human, that it had stalked before from the shadows. It was also a beast-tamer on top of all that! It absolutely despised beast-tamers, and they made the perfect snack, and for releasing anger at it's cruel punishment from the deities, anger that it couldn't release on the other beasts, for fear that they die before it's had it's fun, which ruined the mood. Before, the human had been stacked with beast-warding talismans and amulets, and those had kept it away from it's meal, but now.. the human had absolutely nothing on them, completely vulnerable to any sort of an attack, perfect for an ambush.
