Killing the Ice Sparrow (Part 1)

The conversation with Lili was.. interesting, to say the least. But she did get lots of information out of it, so it wasn't too bad, Luna supposed. Apparently, Moon Dragons and Sun Dragons were very important beasts, even more than normal dragon elders, or other creatures. Moon Dragons were always female, and Sun Dragons were always male. Very cliche if you ask her, but when has anyone asked her opinion about the beasts of this world? Oh, right, the world was called Arisna, which literally no one even bothered to tell her. Not even the shopkeeper with the maps or the information guy, Fillink or something his name was. Lili tried to explain stuff about both dragons, but since she was the Moon Dragon, and honestly didn't really want to know more about the Sun Dragon, cause that was another guy, and she figured his path would be somewhat similar to hers, so she just told Lili to tell her about the Moon Dragon. So what she learned was that whenever a Moon Dragon was born, a Sun Dragon was also born in the same hour, in the same minute and second, so they were basically twins. And that there was meant to be a big phenomenon.

Which she didn't remember about, but Lili said that she had indeed created one, and since she was in her little cave the whole time, she couldn't really prove her wrong. When the Moon Dragon grew up, she would take her place as Queen of Arisna, as dragons were naturally stronger than most humans, like most beasts, except normal beasts can't evolve to Legendary-grade, and can only be stuck at Epic-grade for the rest of their long lives, especially because of the Moon Dragon's bloodline and ancient abilities that only the Sun and Moon Dragons were given, but only when they evolved to Legendary Grade. Even if she was 'Queen', it didn't mean she married the Sun Dragon. In fact, they couldn't even have a relationship. Because each respective dragon would have their responsibility passed on to their children, meaning that the last Moon Dragon, which would be her mother, could only give birth to the next Moon Dragon, to carry on the heritage, and it was the same with the Sun Dragon. The dragons were not born as their Legendary-grade species though, which was why the Ancient Moon Flower existed, and why the mother/father were still the Moon/Sun dragons, as they waited for the new dragon to finish evolving.

The flower was in one of the snow mountains, Kipree, far from the place where dragons would normally be birthed, guarded by an ancient group of foxes, who were entrusted to the Ancient Moon Flower, which only grows when the Moon Dragon is born, and only the Moon Dragon could use it, for anything, like forming a beast core, which was also how Lili figured out her identity. The mountain was to the North of the fairy forests, and would only take 2 days of travelling without break if she flew. As Lili was much smaller than her, and needed more energy to flap her wings, as she had to flap them more intensely, more speedily, because she needed more speed to keep herself in the air, she would carry Lili on her back, as she had grown quite a lot after her last evolution. So, after Lili had fainted several times, as she had just been talking so casually to one of the literal rulers of the world (well, she wasn't technically yet, until she evolved into a Legendary-grade beast, but she didn't want to rain on her parade, as she got very excited about it after getting over her shock), they made a plan. Since she still needed 2 more beast cores to form a beast core herself, they would stay and kill the Ice Sparrow, and since they just killed all the guards, so it should be easier, and then they would travel to Kipree.

The next morning, the sun rose bright in the sky, as Luna and Lili got up and ready for the day. They made their plan last night, after comparing their notes of the Ice Sparrow's nest. Over the days they stalked the guards, they had naturally wandered around looking for where the Ice Sparrow lives, and after some genocide, threatening, and a lot of stalking, they finally found it, which was actually pretty difficult, considering none of the guards would ever go to sleep, or wander anywhere remotely close to the entrance. Sure, they patrolled around the entrance, and had guards guarding it from the entrance, but that was from inside the small opening which revealed a larger cave. None of the guards responded to threatening, which actually made sense, considering she wasn't even sure if they understood what she was talking about, and they certainly couldn't speak in dragon/fairy/human tongue. So they murdered some, then waited to see if they would give a report to the Ice Sparrow, and when they didn't, they killed some more guards. Which, on second thought, didn't make much sense either, as they could have literally just used magic and transmitted the message that way.

But they were desperate to find the place, and she guessed their brains just decided on that idea. Finally, they saw one of the guards go through a small crack hidden completely from view, which would have definitely been too small for Luna to slip through, if she didn't have her [Humanisation] skill, which she used to become a human, and since she was skinny in her human form, she was able to slip in. Turns out the guard was there to take the place of one of the guards guarding the entrance, because they had killed the guard when it went out to hunt, seeing as most of the guards died, so no food was coming though. They then went in, ambushed the guards, and therefore managing to kill all the guards of the Ice Sparrow, and explored the nest of the sparrow. Despite being a bird, the nest was made underground, which didn't seem like a wise decision, until they stumbled into an absolutely massive cavern who's ceiling was too high to see from down on the ground, which was definitely a suitable airspace for the sparrow.
