Arana was so familiar with the voice. It was Andy.
Andy was still wearing a doctor’s white coat, holding her arms and staring at Arana, sizing her up from head to toe with an overbearing face, “If I hadn’t seen Mr. Ku today, I would have almost believed in it.”
Arana frowned slightly, “Believe in what?”
“Stop pretending,” Andy’s eyebrows sharpened as she sneered, “Don’t think you can hook up with any man just because you’re a bit pretty. Don’t forget you’ve given birth to two children. You’re a disgrace to the Towne Family. What kind of man is Terrence? Do you think he would accept a loose woman?”
The words ‘loose woman’ pierced Arana’s eardrums fiercely. She clenched her fists violently, “Andy, when did you start speaking so harshly? Who taught you that?”
Her sister had grown up quiet and was still in high school when she left. Seven years later, Andy’s personality had changed so much that she almost didn’t recognize her.
