Chapter 50

“Dad, this one is actually me ……”

Arana was so nervous that she didn’t even know how to explain, if she confessed directly her father would be very disappointed in her, not coming back for seven years and telling such a big lie as soon as she came back.

Before she could think of words, Towne’s father’s voice came from across the room, “There’s no one who’s together who doesn’t quarrel, and you’ve got a temper to curb.”

Arana froze for a moment and looked up in dismay.

Towne’s father looked bashful, with the look and tone of a man who has been there before, and advised Arana, “Men at this age are career-minded, as long as there is nothing excessive, don’t dwell too much on trivial matters, and don’t let your feelings wear out on the trivial.”

“Dad, I actually.”

“What’s wrong?”

Arana reluctantly pulled at the corner of her mouth, “It’s nothing, I’ve remembered everything you said.”
