Queenerra - Brook

Meanwhile, at Benjamin's residence, Queenerra seemed to have prepared dinner for her husband even though she had never known Benjamin's habits before. But as a wife, Queenerra felt that one of her duties was to provide food for her husband.

The night was getting late but Benjamin did not return from the plantation. What was on Queenerra's mind was that she went with that beautiful woman whose beauty could be said to be near perfect, her name was Irina.

Queen repeatedly looked out the window but there was no sign of her husband's presence. Apparently, Benjamin was still on his way home with Irina, and decided to drop Irina off at her residence before returning home.

She decided to keep waiting until finally the roar of Benjamin Duncan's car engine was heard entering the yard.

It wasn't long before Benjamin entered the house and Queenerra greeted him with a beaming face.

"You're home," She said.

"I'm tired and want to rest," Benjamin answered who was surprised to see there was a woman in his house beside his maid.

"But I made food for you." Queenera caught up to Benjamin's footsteps and the man stopped, he looked at Queenera deeply, Queenerra's clear eyes made Benjamin's feelings waver. His embrace of Irina evoked all the feelings he had been trying to suppress, but on the other hand, this innocent young girl was his legal wife.

"I've already eaten." Benjamin Duncan's lie. "Just eat it, or you can throw it away if you want," he said in a curt tone, and quickly walked into his room.

Queenerra froze at Benjamin Duncan's words just now. The man said that marrying her is a way to save Queenerra from destruction, but it turns out that he treats Queenerra like trash, in his mansion too.

Queenerra's eyes filled with tears, for a moment she had felt valued as a human being, but tonight all that was on her mind was the possibility of Benjamin Duncan regretting his decision to marry her.

Devastated, Queenerra walked into the kitchen and cleaned up all the food she had cooked for her husband.

Emma who heard the sound of someone cleaning the kitchen immediately rushed to the kitchen, however, Benjamin Duncan paid him dearly to clean his house.

"Let me help," he said to Queenera.

"I can do it, rest." Queenerra smiled, even though Emma didn't seem to like it, but Queenerra found no reason to repay Emma's treatment the same way.

Emma noticed that all of the food Queenerra had kept looked like it hadn't been eaten at all. "Mr. Duncan isn't having dinner?" asked Emma.

Queenerra smiled slightly, "He said he had eaten." Queenera replied curtly.

Emma smiled bitterly, "Excuse me, madam, don't you know who the woman who went with Mr. Duncan was earlier?" Emma asked politely, after all, Queenerra was the wife of her boss, so it was only natural that she was polite to Queenerra.

"She's his cousin's wife," Queenera replied.

Emma looked at Queenerra in astonishment "You really don't know who that woman is?" asked Emma again.

"Who is he?" Queenera asked as she stopped her activities.

"He was Mr. Duncan's, first love," Emma whispered, Queenerra's heart suddenly seemed to stop beating for a split second. Queenerra looked at Emma and both of them became awkward "Sorry I shouldn't have talked about your husband behind his back." Emma looked apologetic and quickly walked away from Queenerra.

The woman clutching her chest, she took a deep breath. The fact that Emma had just said took him by surprise and shocked him. How could Benjamin Duncan be in a relationship with his cousin's wife?

She returned to her room as soon as she was done. Queenerra locked her bedroom door and chose to lie down in tears. How could she possibly compare herself to Irina, that perfect woman? Even Benjamin Duncan also treated Irina like an honorable woman, very different from her, an ordinary girl, her family background was not very clear.

In her mind she thought, why should she be born in this world if she spent half her life facing rejection from many people. Not infrequently his presence in someone's life actually makes that person's life chaotic.

Meanwhile, in his room, Benjamin Duncan who had just finished showering immediately lay down on the bed. His reflection drifting to the events in the car, when suddenly Irina made Benjamin's car stop suddenly because Irina kissed him.

Benjamin's feelings clearly became uncertain, how could he kiss the wife of his own cousin? How could he do that while at home, his wife was waiting for him to come home worriedly, and even cooked food for him.

Guilt clouded Benjamin's mind, until he decided to approach Queenerra in her room. Benjamin felt his harsh treatment of his wife was clearly inappropriate.

Knock Knock

Benjamin was standing in the doorway of Quenerra's room, while the girl shuffled out of bed and quickly wiped away her tears. She immediately opened the door and was quite surprised to see Benjamin Duncan standing in the doorway of her room.

"Mr. Duncan." Queenera lowered her head.

"Sorry, I shouldn't have been rude to you earlier," said Benjamin with regret.

Queenerra smiled "I shouldn't have bothered you. I should have known you were tired." Queenerra lowered her head once more.

"Today I'm very tired, sorry for not thinking about your feelings. Thank you for waiting for me to come home," said Benjamin. "No need to wait for me next time." He said.

"Yes," Queenera answered quietly. "Good evening Mr. Duncan, have a good rest," Queenerra replied as she closed her bedroom door again, though Benjamin was still standing there.

For a moment, Benjamin was still standing staring at the door to Queenerra's room. Meanwhile, Queenerra chose to curl up on her bed again.
