Chapter 25

"Tempest Roar!" The wind spell had tried to push me in to the ground. I stood my stance looking up at Servin.

"Lightning Cross!" Likes its name I was it with holy lightning. It hurt. I jumped toward him slashing my axe against his head. The defensive spell around sparked when I had slashed him.

I drop down to land on his shield while he was in the ground. He attempted to though more spells at me. He covers his face with his arms protecting his face. I land onto his stomach. But his defensive spell did not break.

I need to keep attacking him! I can feel it in my blows. Certain parts of this defensive spell around his body are weaker than most. His head and torso areas lighten my blows. The head has more protection.

His arms then must be the weak point of his defense then. I attack his arms relentlessly. The force of my attack kicks up dirt around us. Servin was in every wizard's nightmare. He knows if he does not get out this situation he will be killed by me.

He had tried to hit me with his staff at one point and as I was hoping his spell on his arms broke apart. I take a hold of his arms ready to break it so he wouldn't be able to use his spells. In that moment Servin reaches for his pouch behind his back. A black vial was through in my face.

I immediately grab my face. The black substance blinding my field of vision. I could feel my vision shrinking. It's like a black mass has taken over the world.

"Lightning Cross." The power of lightning was affecting me more than I thought. Sevin did not stop there. He cast the spell more than a dozen times.

Loid and Hen continue with their fight as both skills are very similar as well as sword fighting styles. "You had to come here of all places Hen."

"It was chance I had to make to keep my people safe until we can fight again!" "You fool! Do you not understand the situation you are in! The Southern Empire will have Isabella no matter what! Duke Moreya can't protect it forever!"

Hen trips Loid to the ground while grabbing his hand so he wouldn't use his sword. Loid kicks Hen over before he could stab him.

"You're a fool Loid."

"We all have to choose a side Hen. Even if we have to become worst then demons."

"And you believe this ok? Killing innocent people and take land in endless cycle?" "I saw opportunity. I will bring honor back to my family and restore our lost fief from the Wu."

Loid unloads a long pipe from his sword and inserts another but with blue substance. "I'm sorry Hen. But nothing will stop me."

"I can't believe I called you friend once."

My breath. It's cold...but it's not winter yet. Is it the sword again? Loids weapon froze the ground. Servin was confused as us. Loid body change with ice armor and aura. It was like he turns into magic knight.

"You stand no chance Hen."

"Whatever. I like the challenge anyway." Hen leaps toward Loid. Hen speed of attack was faster than before. He can't use magic but he obviously using something other than magic. No normal human could move like that.

On main battlefield. Both sides were losing men after another. Not sides were gaining the edge even with our low numbers. King Arnell was visible annoyed. "Damn it why are they not giving up! Send the cavalry!"

"But my king. They will be crushed!"

"Just do it! I hate having to wait! Those filthy peasants and Inhumans dare to waste my time! I need this to end now! So, send them now!"

"...Send the cavalry!" Loid notices the movement down low. Wondering why the forces are being crowed. "Why are the cavalry moving!?"

That damn king! What is he thinking! "Servin you bastard!" I can't see him. This poison is getting worse every minute that passes. The fighting down there is louder. Meaning something has happened.

I have to get out of this situation first. But the problem is I can't see. I feel the ground for a moment after being hit so many types with lightning. I was fatigued.

"...The ground." I remember the spell Alie showed back in the village. With this amount of mana. I could break this platform. My attempt to cast aerial spell was interrupted when Servin restricted my movement with stings of mana.

"You're not going to ruin this for me mute!" The strings are burning me! The strings pulled me under the ground where I could not breath. Its splinting apart. It was like I was trapped in a bubble.

My thoughts were racing when the ground caved in around me. I was sinking deeper into the ground so slowly. Hen runs toward Servin after kicking Loid off the platform. Hen disappears for a second. He appears behind Servin like flash and stabs him in the stomach.

"You bastard!" Miasma had exploded from his wound. It was the smell of the dead. Hen steps away from him. Covering his nose. Servin coat was slightly burned off and upon so reveal a symbol of the red eyed mages.

"Quite an interesting tattoo there. Honestly your more corrupted than I thought. Those people might be even worse than the king you're working for."

"I need a lowly warrior to judge me on my choices." He releases his mana suddenly. It was powerful to a lot of people. It was so much that it scared some people. Hen was not impressed with his power.

"You fool! You have no magic! How do you expect to beat me with no actual power!" Is this kid dumb? I just stabbed him and thinks he's unbeatable.

"Lightning Cross!"  Hen gets into a stance that spread his legs wide and his sword held across his face. "Break!" The spell had broken apart before it made contact with his body.

"What did!? What the hell?"

"Shred!" Hen thrust his sword at Servin with much force. Servin Rises the ground above while the attack destroyed the earth beneath Servin. The earth pillar fell over with Servin jumping off. This person! I can't keep this fight going or else well lose this battle! Servin levitates his staff and closes his eyes. "I summon the lost god of Gorga! Answer my call! Brutus of the vile! Brutus the 89th God of chaos!  Divine Agape!"

The spell of summon gods from the world above. Meaning he must have a contract with a god. Servin is a disgusting person but his tenacity of wanting to something is impressive. The gate of the divine world has opened.

Out form the portal was massive well-built person. He was dressed like a warrior and stood over 100 feet tall. The platform we were standing on was breaking by the sheer weight of the god. "I feel this is unnecessary."

The god raises its mace toward Hen. Hen jumps toward the gods face. "Shred!" The god's face was shredded apart. Its healing powers were astonishing that it grew new face. Gods cannot be killed by mortals.

"Kill him Brutus!"

The markings on his body radiated with divine power. His stomps onto the form breaking it. The platform nearly fell but was able to hold up.

On the ground the forces of Lazare were being crushed together. A crush was forming, and many knights suffocated from the weight of the crush. The cavalry knights were disorganized. The slova had gotten the upper hand by staying in their own formation while the knights attacked while many were being crushed by their own.

Hen was trying to comprehend this battle. He had never fought a god in his life and never seen a battle take a turn like this. Hen had caught Terra who still was in an illusion. Now that I have time to do this.

Hen places his hand over her head. "Break!" Terra awoken from her illusion scared with blood shot eyes. "Terra relax! It's me!"

"Wha. What happened?" Servin casts a lightning Cross spell on them when Hen was distracted. He uses break to dispel his attack.

Terra tried to grasp the situation. But could not believe what was happening. A god of chaos has appeared and the fear with her crawled all over skin. At the time when the god was summoned everyone in this battle was shocked at how small they really where in this world.

I could not see anything while be dragged deeper into the earth. But I know where up is. I take deep breath. I need to break this platform. Whatever is upper there I need to do something. I contract on my mana circulation. I hold my hands out ready. I don't know any spells but If I pour a lot of mana into the aerial attack. Maybe it can destroy whatever is up there or at least kill Servin.

I can feel the heat of the mana building up. A sound of a storm emits from my arms. The mana swirled faster than I could blink. I let my concentration go.

The mana caused a massive explosion that destroyed the entire earth platform. The god was hit of the it. The sight of the giant falling was sight to see. Especially for historical records. The god landed on the Lazare knights crushing them flat. The platform broke into pieces and fell all over the battlefield. The spell that was cast on me is gone.

My hand was red like I was burnt from a fire. It didn't bother me though. I make my way up the crater where I was bet with thousands of Lazare knights. The cold blues eyes of mine shuttered them from attacking me. They will never forget the man who stood above them like a true warrior.

I felt like I was true warrior. The war is taking a turning point and with at the center of it.

After words King Arnell understood his mistake. Hen orders our men to fall back and head straight to Isabella. Leaving the King Arnell and Servin in shame. Later that night we made camp in the plains.

My hand was healed mysteriously as well the wounds on my body. The cheers outside were very normal to me now. Though I haven't seen people cheer in a while. It's a fluffy feeling.

Maybe I should step out. The entire camp was in frenzy. Though we ran this was victory for us. This is how the slova fight. "Where is Terra?"

"She's a little down today. She was trapped in an illusion the entire fight. She's reflecting or something."

"I see. So, were going home Hen?" "Yup. A lot of things happen these past months and the outcome of every battle has changed the course of this war. Though the plan has not change much. The final battle will be at city. And we must be there to help and prepare it.

Walking the around the camp and seeing the faces of humans and beast-men enjoy a drink was a delight to see. Even for me who stills has a lot of problems. The plan of this battle has changed. War can change so many times and you won't have enough time to prepare."

"Your right. Its goanna be great to see everyone again."

"Me too. Don't drink too much I order every to do so. We have long way to get back. Rest up." I'm too able to see her soon...Alie.

Today's battle and previous has taught many things. Even when you're losing there is one detail in the battle that could be in favor for you. And some times it could be your own enemy. While thinking of this and voice in my head had spoken to me. Asking to go to the forest.

"Who are you?"

"A friend of your friend."

"What?"

"Lady Alie is our friend. And we need to talk to you about her and the future she is destine for. She is important to you right? Ivalyo."

"...Where?" "It's not far. Just follow the green light. Its spell only you can see. And make sure you're not followed. Its secret meeting between to people after all.

"Do you have a name?"

"Dorian. My allegiance is secret. It's a pleasure to meet you. The one with no destiny."
