Let you go

Louis ran away to his house. He knocked on the door and was greeted by his mother. He asked for that gift to his mother but her mother didn't know why he was getting so desperate for that gift. His mother edged to the table beside him. He turned his gaze accordingly, picked that gift and went to his room. He locked the room and took a seat on the couch in the room. He removed the cover, opened the box and saw the outfit that he wore on the first day of their meeting in a shopping mall, Ghost outfit.

Seeing that gift, his eyes sprinkled. That outfit was the same as 12 years before, everything was the same whether the length or colour. He never thought that she would keep that outfit for those years with her. He couldn't imagine that thing from her as a gift. He kept it aside and went downstairs to ask his mother about the one who bought that for their house.

"Mom, who gave you this?" he asked.

"When I came back from work, it was already at the entrance of our house and there was no information on the box about the giver," she said.

He got upset and then went back to his room. He looked at the box well in search of any information about the giver but did not get any information from. He threw the box somewhere in the room and got frustrated for not getting any clue about Lisa's whereabouts. She changed her number and even her mother too. No one around knew about them, which made it difficult for him to know anything about Lisa and her mother.

He was fucked up at that time. He sighed and for the last time he tried to contact her but still, her phone was unavailable. He threw everything around him and ran his hands through his hair locks in frustration. But then his eyes fell on that stone which was given by her to him as a forever gift, he took it in his hands and caressed those beautiful words.

His mother noticed his weird behaviour that day, she didn't know that Lisa left for another country with her mother. She thought that might be he was nasty over something. She went towards his room with a surprise cake for his birthday celebration. As soon as, she opened the door of his room, she found things on the floor in a messy way, all things were broken into pieces. She whispered his name but he didn't pay any attention to his mother's presence in the room.

"Louis, what is all this? huh?" she asked him, loud enough to get his attention towards the mess he created in his room. He didn't give any answer to her. She put the cake on the nearby table in that room and went towards his sad figure. She bent down to his level and asked.

"What happened Louis?" she raised a question to him in a polite way.

He moved his gaze to meet her eyes. She noticed his tears and got worried for him.

"Tell me what is this and what made you cry on your birthday?" she asked.

"She left me, mom," she said and hugged his mother.

"WHO LEFT YOU?"

"L-I-S-A," he whimpered.

"Why and Where? Tell me about what happened in between you two?" she asked him as she was getting worried over it.

"I THOUGHT THAT SHE LIKED MR ROBERT SO I COULDN'T TOLERATE THAT AND THOUGHT OF MAKING A MOVE TO GO AWAY FROM MY FEELINGS FOR HER BUT I DIDN'T KNOW THAT SHE LIKED ME NOT HIM AND I CREATED MISUNDERSTANDING BETWEEN US," he said sadly to her.

"Did you ask her about that?" she asked.

"No, I didn't but-," she interrupted him in between.

"Then how could you think that way and what were you thinking while doing that right in front of her?" she asked him.

"But now what should I do to get her back in my life again, I don't want to lose my best friend," he asked her, in hope of getting an answer from her. She couldn't think of any way out to help her son.

She sighed and asked him if he tried to contact her about her whereabouts. But he already did everything possible for him too but unfortunately, he couldn't get a way out.

His mother was sad because she couldn't do anything for her son. He asked her to leave him alone for some time, she understood him and asked him not to think much about it. With that, she left his room but before leaving his room, she glanced at him for the last time as she was so worried for him. She closed the door and tried to respect his privacy.

He hides his face with the help of pillows and screamed so loud in pain of losing her. His all expectations met an end after losing his best friend. He wiped the tears from his face and sadly he thought about her.

"I HAD TO LET YOU GO," he said and he held her gifts near to his heart.

"I promise you, to be in love with you Lisa for whole life," he said while looking at her gifts.

On the other hand, Lisa entered into a new environment of another country. She was sad too because she left him there without addressing him. She didn't know that how she would focus on her new life without him by her side. She was missing him so much at that time. She found it hard to forget about their friendship and move on. She didn't go away from him because of jealousy but if she stayed with him with the feeling for him would make everything worse as well as it would take their friendship towards the end. Then she didn't break the friendship with him after going away but she needed some time to fix everything. So, she also had to let him go.

Because of their feelings towards each other, they didn't want to break the friendship of 12 years. So, they both made up their minds and thought of letting go of their feelings and move on.
