"Ahh," a girl screamed as she fell to the ground after being pushed down by Tina. All the students till now had suffered the same fate. No matter how strong they were, how fast they were, or what weapon they chose, Tina would easily dodge their attacks and push them.
She never did anything to hurt the students, never attacked. But she always pushed them to the ground, showing that if she wanted to, the students would be a lot more hurt right now.
The girl got up and took her weapon once more. Her weapon was a small dagger, and her method of fighting was close combat, melee battle. She used special footwork to get close to Tina while still being fully prepared to dodge at any time.
Tina simply stood there. She wasn't smug or arrogant, neither was she angry or disgusted. She just had a plain expression on her face, fully analyzing her opponent in front of her.
The girl took a side step the moment she was next to Tina and stabbed at her right waist. It looked like Tina had made a mistake or gotten careless and was about to be attacked. The girl's eyes shined brightly, thinking she was about to be the first person to even touch Tina. However, at the next moment, his face was drained of all emotions.
Tina simply lifted him and blocked the attack using her sword scabbard. She didn't even do anything directly herself to block the attack.
The girl and the entirety of the students watching the fight were left speechless. The fact that Tina could block a knife using her sword scabbard didn't even occur to any of them.
While the girl was distracted by the current event, Tina stretched her palms to her right and pushed the girl to the floor once again. And with this, the fight was done.
"Aww, I was pretty sure Marina could make Tina fight, but it seems even she wasn't that good."
"She was so close on that last attack too. Damn, just how much fighting experience do you need to even think of blocking an attack like that."
The examiner got onto the stage and calmed down the students. He then called the next student. "Alright, Next up is Mark Grier."
It was finally Mark's turn. Nearly an hour had gone by with him sitting here, watching Tina fight, absorbing the knowledge, and finally, it was time for him to fight.
"I probably shouldn't show off a lot," he thought to himself as he walked down to the fighting area. He looked through the weapons and found a dull short-sword, that looked more like a machete than a sword.
Interestingly, he turned it the wrong way around and instead held it like a dagger.
Once he got onto the stage, he finally got to take a good look at Tina's face. She was indeed a very beautiful woman, far more than what she looked like from atop the seating area. However, not having a single smile on her face took her beauty down a few notches for Mark.
'She must not be enjoying the exam very much. Having to fight what she would deem garbage after garbage would annoy just about anyone,' he thought.
"Ready," the examiner spoke. "Fight."
Mark didn't immediately rush at her and instead circled around the perimeter of the arena, trying to look for an opening. After realizing there were none, he decided to just attack normally.
'Damn, she is too good,' he thought. Giving the impression of a newbie, Mark rushed directly at Tina, but at the last second, he hit the ground very hard and doubled his speed.
Tina was surprised. She did not expect him to speed up at close combat. Mark punched straight at her, with the blade sticking to the right of him. He was trying to cover a large area with his fighting style.
Seeing the horizontal attack, with no weak point to take advantage of, Tina simply jumped backward. This was the first time she had to dodge an attack like that. Normally she could just change the path of the attack or move a little so that the attack hit empty air.
However, she hadn't had anyone that could make her leave her place in fear of getting hit. His eyes, which were dull until now, started showing little shines of battle hunger. She wanted to fight too.
However, this was an exam and she wasn't here to fight, only test, so she stopped her will for fight. However, Mark wasn't going to let her get away like this and was hot on her heels.
He immediately switched his holding style and held the small sword like an actual sword. He had taken the small sword for exactly this reason. While a small sword couldn't be as strong as a normal sword, or swift as a dagger, Mark wanted to use it to confuse Tina regarding his fighting style.
If he used both types of attacks, she wouldn't know which one to prepare for the next time he attacked.
A large swing would leave him open on a normal sword, but on a short sword with a short travel distance, he could be fast enough that it didn't matter. So, he swung at her.
Tina saw the incoming top to bottom swing and knew it was going to be fast. Still, it was slow enough for her to simply sidestep and let the sword pass by. However, at the last second, the sword changed its attack path.
Instead of going straight from top to bottom, the sword started swinging sideways, almost as if Mark knew she was going to dodge exactly like that.
Tina couldn't block with her hands as that wouldn't work in a real fight, so she was forced to jump back once again, making a distance between her and him. This was the second time he had made her jump back like that, and she did not like it whatsoever.
