"What?" his sister said in surprise. "Where did it go? Open your fingers," she said. Mark opened his fingers wide and showed that there was nothing there.
"Huh? Behind you then?" she went around his back to check if there was any. "Tell me, how did you do it?" she asked.
"Give me another one and I will show you again," he said.
His sister handed him another marble and the same as before, it disappeared. "What? Again?" his sister said in surprise. She had absolutely no idea where the marble had gone to.
"Another one?" Mark asked.
His sister kept on giving him marbles and he kept on vanishing them. In the end, not a single goblin marble was left there. All of it had vanished from his hands. Some even vanished in batches.
His sister's immature brain couldn't comprehend how this was even done. "Tell me, mark. Tell me," she started rocking him back and forth, asking him to reveal his tricks.
A 27-year-old woman rocking him back and forth was not something he wanted to feel right now. She rocked him too hard.
"Wait, wait, before that, don't you want to eat? I will make some food for you," Mark said.
"Food? Oh yeah, I am quite hungry," she said as he felt her stomach.
"Alright, you go and watch TV and I will make the food," he said and walked out of the room.
"Phew, thank god she is so easily influenced," he said to himself and went to the kitchen to prepare the food.
Soon after he returned back to the living room and handed her her food. His sister didn't bother him about the magic anymore as she was engrossed in her own shows.
It was the same episode on rerun forever, and she had watched it dozens of times. But, she still watched every episode like it was the first time ever, which it was.
Mark felt a little sad thinking about it. How he wished his sister didn't have amnesia. 'Sigh, if only she didn't go there,' he thought.
He quickly finished his food and went back to his room. He pointed his storage ring towards the bed and started dropping the goblin marbles one after another.
There was no magic trick obviously. He was just storing the marbles into his storage rings. But his sister who knew nothing about storage rings was easily tricked by this.
He quickly counted to make sure there was 160 goblin marble just like he ordered and there was. 'Thank god, sister didn't lose any. Or I would've to wait for another day,' he thought.
He quickly took out the black box from his drawer and opened it up. He put 10 of the goblin marbles into the black box and closed it. However, he didn't keep it away, instead, he looked at it.
He waited to see what exactly happened to the box. Why it did what it did?
Just as he expected, something happened. Green light spilled out of the black box and kept on shining. He waited for it to stop shining but it never did. So, he put it back into the drawer and went to take a bath.
Even after returning from a bath, the light was still shining there. "Does it really take this long?" he wondered.
He went to prepare the dinner and even then it was still glowing. Only after he finished dinner and was about to sleep did it finally stop shining.
He immediately lost all sleep and got up to see if it worked. He slowly opened the box, with bated breaths, and lightly exclaimed "Yes" when he saw exactly 1 goblin marble in the middle of the box.
He took it out and looked at it in the light, as expected, there wasn't a goblin in there. There was a goblin warrio—
"Wait, that's not a goblin warrior," he said as he looked at it more carefully. The goblin's body wasn't as wide or as muscular as a goblin warrior. It looked scrawny in comparison and was even a little hunched.
Mark's eyes went wide. "A goblin wizard!" he said in shock. "Of course. If a goblin warrior is possible, then a goblin wizard and a goblin archer should be possible too," he thought.
However, this now created a problem in his plan. He had 2 goblin warriors, 1 goblin wizard, and 150 goblins, which would, in turn, become 15 higher leveled goblins.
If he somehow didn't get 10 of a single kind, could he even use the black box for them anymore?
"I need to test this," he thought. He closed his eyes. In a flash of light, a marble appeared in his hand. It was the goblin warrior that he had equipped. Outside of the dungeon, unless in the case of a dungeon break, one couldn't release their monster from the marble.
However, just releasing the marble itself was possible. Unequipping, however, wasn't possible unless under certain circumstances.
Thankfully, Mark wasn't looking to unequip his goblin warrior. He was going to put it into the black box and see if it did anything.
He put the goblin warrior, along with 9 other goblins. He took a deep breath and closed the box. He rejoiced as green lights started spilling out of the black box.
He started managing the rest of the marbles in the meanwhile. He put away the goblin warrior, goblin wizard, and the 141 goblin marbles.
He was going to put the box away too when suddenly the light stopped coming out of the box.
"Huh? What's going on? Is it done already?" he wondered. It hadn't even been 5 minutes since he started the process and it was already done.
He opened the black box and saw that there was only a single marble inside of it. 'Did it evolve once more?' Mark wondered.
Mark took the only remaining marble to the light and saw that it was still the goblin warrior from before, while all the other marbles had disappeared.
He was disappointed.
