Pete's morality
"so boss how much did people bet?" "well Pete ya made 200 bucks" Pete's boss hands him the money "thanks boss I'll see ya tomorrow" Pete walks out and see that it's midnight "damn I've been fighting till midnight well might as well walk home and enjoy the night." as Pete walks home and then he sees a man getting mugged by three men "HEY! STOP THAT!" "huh look at this guy trying to stop us" as Pete runs at them an aura appears around Pete. the aura has a demon-like look with horns and a tail, his aura was immense "fuck off kid" one of the thugs grabs a bottle and shatters it, one grabs a switchblade out of his pockets and the last one pulls out a Glock. the man being mugged see's his chance to run and takes it.
(wait they don't have any powers) Pete thought to himself realising it would not be fair to fight with a power "WAIT!" the thug paused "I think since you three have no powers I should tell you to mine" the thugs nodded In agreement but little did Pete know this was not there the first encounter with a powerful. "right listen it has multiple things, number one I've got ultimate stamina where I can keep going for 100 hours straight, the second one is armour-like skin where its just really tough and the last one is berserk where I give up the two powers for maximum strength and then I can't use them for the rest of the year. you may now fight me" the thugs then all charge at him at once "TAKE THIS" the first thug tries to shank Pete with the broken bottle but it shatters as soon as it reaches Pete's stomach "you better fucking clean that up when we're done!" Pete smacks the thugs in the head and instantly knocks him out. "shit rattle him will!" the thug with the gun starts rapidly firing and then suddenly "B-Boss it stopped!" Pete walks to him and breaks the grabs the gun "guns aren't fair in a one v three" Pete rips the Glock out of the thug's hand breaks it in his hand.
the two run away and Pete throws the gun and glass shards in the dumpster "well now back to walking home but I think I should pay Davie a visit" Pete keeps strolling along. beep beep the heart monitors beeping fills the room "knock knock" "who's there?" Pete walks into the room with flowers in hand "your friend duh ya dummy" he passes the flowers to Davie and he sniffs them "ah smells lovely where did you get them?" "bought them at my grandpa's flower place thingy got 'em free." Davie smiles "you wouldn't believe what happened to me people were mugging a guy and I stopped them" Davie laughs "sounds like you Pete you've been there for people and me" he nudges Pete's shoulder and then there's a silence "Pete" "yeah Davie" and yet again a dead chilling silence "am I going to die?"
"WHAT! no, you won't die. I'm sure you can get through this come on don't say that" Pete's eyes start to water "Pete come on we have to fa-" "please don't say it" Pete begs. "Pete come on it's been a month and it hasn't gotten any better" Pete swiftly changes the topic "anyhow I'm going to the store you want anything?" davies thinks "just some ramen the microwave ones."
Pete walks out and slides down a wall and puts his head into his arms and cries slowly realising he has to face the fact his friend is going to die.
