Chapter 9 Hayhay's Smithy

Chapter 9 Hayhay's Smithy

The next day I left with a smile on my face as I took the long walk home. Shocked that I was moved from the couch to the bed last night, but everything seemed to be fine. He took the couch as I laid there with a smile on my face. The thought of moving out made me smile with joy, but I knew it was going to be hard. Soon as I gotten home, I saw Arron with a smile on his face, acting like nothing had happened. Jade was there talking as she saw me, the feeling of the room changed as he knew something happened.

"Lize!" she called out.

"Yeah?" I answered back, walking towards her. She didn't seem happy but was glad to see me aright. Her arms wrap around me as she knew that I left for a reason.

"Where did you go last night?" she asked with a scared tone.

"Best idea is to talk about this in the office," I replied as I dragged her inside, leaving a few people confused. But one look I seem on Arron's face was regret as he knew what happened. Soon as I was away from them and inside, I started to feel better.

"Are you going to tell me what happened?" she asked

"Yeah," I breathed, "it's a long story."

"We got time," she replied, "but Hayhay has something to show us later."

"Okay," I smiled.

"Does it happen to be with Arron?" she asked hoping it was a good thing.

"Heartbreakingly yes," I answered as I sat down for a little bit, "I saw him with another girl outside of camp."

"Where's the salt and knives," she said in a low scary voice. I knew that murder was on her mind, but I didn't want violence to happen. The other thing was going to make it worst as it was about me moving away from base.

"There is something else," I said.

"What is it?" she sighed

"I'm moving across town in a couple of days." I replied very slowly to her. I watched her eyes become wide and then small with anger. She didn't want me to leave, but I needed space of my own. "I'll still help around here. I just need a space of my own for a while."

"Fine," she snapped, "but how are you going to get here?"

"I'm planning to go to the nearby bike shop." I laughed a little bit, "I know I don't even know how to ride one."

"At least you'll learn," she sighed, "but we should head to Hayhay."

I knew that Hayhay was working on something for the last couple of weeks in the jewelry section of the store. She mumbled a lot about bombs, weapons, and lots about metal. She was building something huge as she places tarp around the area, so no one would see. Helping with others made he job tighter as she made the garage safe for the boys to work in. The sounds of banging and cutting would being going through most nights as she wanted this to be done. When we got there, she had most of the tarp cut down from the ceiling and onto the floor. She was proud of what she made. It was small, but it had everything she needed, gun powered, metal, tool, and an old fashion forge. She had a couple things out for us to look at, knifes, darts, and even one gun she made on her own. It was a pipe sniper as she figured out how to make the parts for it.

"What you guys think!" she chipped happily.

"Looks like a lot of work into it," Jade replied as she looked at what she made. The one thing that caught my eye was a hunting knife she made. It wasn't perfect, but it should do the job of cutting up meat and skin. She could tell that I liked her handy work as she handed it to me with a smile.

"I see that your knife was getting worn out," she said holding it out to me, "so I made you a new one. I want to fix up your old one, but this should hold till then."

"Thanks, Hayhay," I smiled as I took out my old one and placed it on the table as the other one was put into the holster. The thought of leaving made my heart break as I would have to live away from my friends, my family now. I wonder what everyone was going to do as I wouldn't be around anymore. The fear of being hated was one thing, but if they learned that I was living with a Blood Cult member would make them not want me around. Would I have to move to a new group or will they keep me with them. Jones cared about me and I'm starting to care more about him. I could tell that Jade and Hayhay were worried about me as was looking out into space with a sad expression.

I was going to miss them a lot with not hearing them fight about the small things. The smell of Hanna's cooking in the morning was going to be different and the same with Squeaks not seeing them as much. So, I decided to start packing my bags and thinking of when I was going to get my bike.

"You don't have to leave Lize," Jade said with a low but soft voice.

"I know," I replied, "but I think it is for the best."
