After finishing his online promotion campaign, Pro diligently went to pay his internet bills. If you want internet, even ghosts must pay bills. As for whether someone can catch on to the fact that a dead person is paying bills, Pro can only wonder who would have so much time to do so. As for other bills? Sorry, there is no one living here. Hell, even the building owner is dead, who would come to collect rent.

Pro got up from his seat as he began to set up his defense. There isn't much props for traps, but at least he can create a semi-safe zone. Pro went over to the bedroom door and locked it from the inside. Afterwards, he turned into physical form to move the wardrobe to completely block the door for double the insurance. Unless the invader was a super human who could knock over a wardrobe filled with clothes, there is no chance of getting through this door.

Pro then went over to the bathroom and began to clean the toilet. No one will take a dump if they see a dirty toilet. Pro believe that his professionalism will allow him to charge more when the customers come. After all, as long as Pro doesn't kill too much in the early games, there will be time for him to grow. Even if he accidentally attract strong ones, unless they can break through the wall or the bedroom door, he will be safe and sound.

Then, to make it easier for his guests, Pro even risked dissipation in order to prop the door open for his visitors. Fortunately, it did not take too much effort to do so and the risk was reduced when he split it into multiple smaller steps.

"Now I have to wait again. I should conserve my energy for the next couple of days. If no one comes, then I will start my online campaign once more," Pro decided internally, hopped on his bed, and pulled out a novel to read.

Once in a while, Pro would go peek out the window to see if anyone came. Although the sunlight was very discomforting, Pro had plenty of time to rest up and recover after bathing in it for a short while. Even though adventurous ones would usually come at night, Pro can't rule out the cautious ones.

Days passed, and Pro stared out at the night sky as usual. Past midnight, he noticed the headlights of a car lighting up a part of the street. It drove closer and closer until it reached the apartment building where it parked. Four human silhouettes got out of the car before gathering in front of the building. Pro grinned as he knew his first customers are here.

Outside of the apartment building, a group of young adults at around the age of 18 to 20 stood and glanced at the gloomy, old apartment building. There was a white male with brown hair and some firm muscle tones, showing that he exercises regularly. Next to him stood a skinny Asian male with freckles on his face and curly, black hair. He wore black rim glasses, held onto a flashlight, and wore a backpack on his back.

To the side stood a tan-skinned lady with long black hair and dressed in a t-shirt with jeans. Grasping her arms tightly was another tan-skinned lady, with short black hair and wearing a short skirt with a t-shirt. Feeling the cold air breezing through her legs, the lady couldn't help but ask in a frightened tone, "Lena, t-there won't really be ghosts here right?"

The lady she was grasping on to rolled her eyes as she responded, "Alice, don't be a scaredy-cat. Ghosts don't exist."

"Yep, that's right, and even if they do, they will still fall before my fists!" the buff male exclaimed as he flexed his muscles as if to show off.

The male with glasses stared at the muscle brain with some disdain before he continued to observe the surroundings. The only reason he chose to join this muscle brain was because he could get a free ride. He wasn't too optimistic about someone who would choose a horror house as a date spot to impress girls. Even with muscles, if he has no knowledge about the other side of the world, he is useless.

The Asian male's name was Gu Hao, a normal male who is seeking to contact the hidden side of this world even when he was warned against it. With the small amount of knowledge he managed to gather over the years as the son of an squad captain, he knew that there was a hidden side to this world. Although he wasn't able to touch it in any way so far, he at least caught some clues, and he recently learned that there may a chance that someone from that hidden world came to this building for a job. He is just hoping to see if that person left anything behind.

Suddenly, a palm slapped on Gu Hao's back causing him to lose focus and stumble a bit.

"Hahaha! Hao! Just look at your serious face, don't be so nervous. If you exercise more like me, you will be filled with confidence!" the buff male stated.

Gu Hao glared at him before replying, "John, it's better to be more cautious. You never know what might happen."

John chuckled as he shook his fingers at Gu Hao, "No, no, no! That is not how it should be. We came for an adventure, and adventurers must be brave! Ghosts? Psh! Can they stand my fist? Even worst, have you even heard of something like a constipation ghost?! Hahahaha!"

With John's loud laughter and non-serious attitude, the mood lightened a bit as the two ladies giggled a bit. Gu Hao frowned as he inwardly sighed and hoped that nothing happens as he still needs the driver for a free ride home.

"Alright, follow me! Let's go explore the entire building! Just stay by my side, and I will protect you!" John bravely commanded as he strolled into the building.

"Alright, let's go Alice," Lena said with a bit of excitement in her tone.

Alice on the other hand shivered a bit as she stared at the dark building timidly, "A-are you sure? Maybe we shouldn't ..."

"Comon! What's there to be afraid of? We watched so many horror movies already, it's not that scary," Lena said as she pulled Alice in.

Gu Hao could only sigh in melancholy, "If you watch a lot of horror movies, you would know the reckless ones are the ones who are most likely to die, and the first one to die is usually the geek ... uh wait, that's me."

Gu Hao's mouth twitched before he also stepped in the building while using his flashlight to check out the area.

"Hurry up Hao! We need light here, you are the only one with a flashlight!" John hollered.

After checking the surroundings and finding no problem, Gu Hao briskly walked towards John who was by the elevator.

"While you were all dilly dallying, I already scouted the first floor, and most of the doors are locked. So, there is not much to explore. We can start exploring from the second floor up," John boasted as he flexed his muscles once more.

Gu Hao didn't like the idea of exploring each floor one by one. After all, his only goal was the fourth floor and spending more time out here will just increase the risks on bumping into other things. Who knows if there is some criminal still hidden on the other floor of this building. The only floor he knew was somewhat safe was the fourth floor where his father had closed a case recently.

"We should go directly to the fourth floor. It is just a waste of time to explore other floors. The fourth floor was our main target anyways," Gu Hao suggested before persuading, "Also, I heard that this apartment used to house criminals. Who knows if they are hiding on the other floor. Only the fourth floor is safer as the police searched it recently."

"I'm not afraid of any criminals. If I see one, I will bring them to justice with my fists!" John said with an arrogant grin.

"What if they have a gun?" Gu Hao snapped back.

John's grin froze and he coughed awkwardly, "Well, let's take a vote then. I think that's fair. Hao will vote fourth floor only. What about you two ladies?"

Lena and Alice glanced at each other. Alice timidly raised her hands and voted, "I say we explore one floor and leave."

Lena rolled her eyes, but thinking that there may be criminals she still voted, "Fourth floor."

John chuckled as he affirmed, "Well it seems that you all voted for fourth floor only and my vote won't matter. If it was me, I would say bravely explore all the floors, but I guess I will conform to the majority this time. Alright, let's go!"

John then stepped into the elevator. Lena rolled her eyes at John's false bravado. She isn't a naive innocent girl that still can't see through things. Regardless, Lena still pulled Alice into the elevator.

On the other hand, Gu Hao breathed a sigh of relief as his goal was achieved. He also stepped into the elevator, and ignoring the chat of the trio, he began to take out some tools from his backpack. There was a lock pick, a wrench, and a hand-held mirror with a key chain hook attached. He put the pick in his pocket, hooked the mirror to his waste, and held the wrench in his hand as a weapon. The trio gawked at him. John couldn't help but ask, "I understand the wrench and lock pick, but what are you going to do with a mirror? Did you bring cosmetics as well?"

Gu Hao glanced over and said with a grim tone, "The mirror is used for seeing things that normal eyes can't see."

John's face stiffened as his eyes glanced at the number on the elevator slowly approaching 4. He couldn't help but whisper, "Do those things really exist?"

You know how to be afraid now? It's too late. Gu Hao smirked and said in a joking tone, "Who knows?"

"Hic!" Alice swallowed in fear as she glanced around as if something would pounce on her.

Lena rolled her eyes once more as she thought internally that all guys are bad guys.

Ding, the elevator doors opened to reveal a dark corridor. A cold breeze seemed to have entered the elevator, causing Gu Hao to nervously swallow his saliva. Shining his flashlight outwards, Gu Hao then noticed that one door was opened on this floor as if inviting them to enter.

A hand suddenly shoved Gu Hao from behind causing him to step out of the elevator in fright. Gu Hao turned back to see John with a nervous face and outstretched hand.

"Ahem. Move so we can all get out of the elevator," John said before he waved his hands like a gentleman, "Ladies first."

Lena glared at John before glancing at the dark corridor, wondering where all the lights went. In the end, she gripped Alice's hands in comfort and pulled her out of the elevator together.

John then stepped out of the elevator also and said with a awkward tone, "Don't worry, I will let you all go first and I will cover your retreat."

Lena rolled her eyes before whispering to Alice, "If anything happens, stay by my side. These guys are more unreliable one after another."

Alice nodded timidly as she stared at where the flash light was pointing. She couldn't help but whisper timidly, "I-Is that the room the post talked about? W-Why is it the only one opened as if it was waiting for us?"

The group couldn't help but feel a chill down their spine.
