CHAPTER 13

Ashley and Dustin turn on the emergency alarms. Everyone in the city had been advised about the attack. So they evacuate to a safe area as quickly as possible. Ashley, Dustin and other players of The Order of the Red Dragon and The knights of the Black Cross stay in the command center. There are about 50 people. It was a small number since most of the people went to the other cities that had more chances to be attacked.

The shouts of the people stop when the city booms and in the middle of the city appeared two monsters of approximately 10 and 20 meters.

—Ah…! — One of the players can't avoid pant after seeing these monsters.

Ashley knit her brows with worry. It seemed that this time they attacked the cities with two monsters. She squeezed her sword strongly and said.

—Let 's go! — Her companions moving after she ordered. We were divided into two groups with Dustin and Ashley leading each one.

Multiple magic attacks and warrior attacks flung against the monsters. Ashley used her ice magic to pin down the movement of the monsters. Although powerful attacks were flung against the monsters, they only swung a little. Ashley pant after seeing their strength.

The monsters let out of the ice and leap on the players. They were fast despite their big size. Ashley takes turns between cure and fight and she couldn't avoid bit her lips after seeing the battlefield. Those monsters are stronger than she expected. We don't have enough strength. Ashley looked at her back. She saw the people still escape. We need more time.

With this thought in her mind she holler an order.

—Go back!! — They were confused about her order but everyone moved away. Ashley centred all her magic in her hands and created a huge magic circle under the monsters.

—Kryo condere! —A blue light illuminated the city. The people that were escaping from the attack unconsciously stopped.

—Beautiful... — A person can't avoid murmuring after seeing particles of ice falling and the big structures of ice when the monsters were sealing.

Ashley goes down her trembling hands and coughed a puff of blood. Dustin ran towards her and supported her weak body.

—Are you okay...? — Dustin asked with a complicated gaze. It was a really difficult spell. It needs an extremely good control of the magic to be made. He was very astonished with Ashley's progress.

—Yes...I'm okay… — Ashley smiled a little bit. She did a high level magic spell so it overloads her body but it will give them a little more time.

The players started to come to their senses and go around to the ice structures prepared to attack at any moment. Dustin told Ashley to rest while they watch for the monsters. Ashley didn't reject because she was very tired and only wanted to faint. The people managed to arrive at the security area. And when all of them want to sigh with relief. A transportation circle appeared on top of the ice structures. Ashley's eyes opened with surprise when she saw the leader of the group of about 200 people.

Dustin murmured annoyed —That bastard is… Joel! — Ashley's group noticed Joel with the scream of Dustin. Ashleyalmost bit her tongue as she recognized the insignia they were carrying. Even though all of them were masks and wearing black clothes.

—The group of assassins... Calare Tremere...— Ashley's group trembled when she said the name. This was the most famous and strong group of assassins in the game. They have the strength to rival the Order of the Red Dragon and the knights of the Black Cross.

Joel looked at Ashley coldly and said.

—Released them — A man behind Joel reaches out his arms to the monsters. At that moment Ashley shouted.

—Stop them!! — Joel mocked Ashley's worry and Dustin threw with the other players to the group of assassins. But no one can cross the enemy walls. Two magic circles appeared in front of the monsters and ice starts to thaw. Ashley drank a magic potion and She did as she could to keep her magic. But soon, she realized that Joel's magician was stronger than her. Ashley started to bleed from her mouth, nose, ears but she couldn't keep the magic. The ice was broken and the monsters were free.

—Kill all of them — Joel ordered his group and the monsters. Only the magician stands by his side. Ashley coughed a puff of blood and her sight turned blurred. One attack more and she will die. Ashley could see her group being defeated by the assassins. They wouldn't last long either. Ashley saw this and her eyes filled up with desperation.

Joel saw her reaction and felt happy. Joel left her alone on purpose. He wants Ashley to see this view. All of them are going to die, including her. But she will die at the end. First he is going to show how her companions die without the possibility to revive. The assassins will kill them every time they revive until they can't revive anymore.
