CHAPTER 14

Ashley bit her lips until she bled, meanwhile she attacked the assassins and the monsters with the last strengths of her body. She can't die. Because she knows that Joel will not allow her to revive. Ashley saw her companions die and thought "Help! We need help! Please someone…!"

'Do you want help?' Ashley was stunned when she heard a voice. An enemy almost stabbed her at that moment.

"Who are you?" Ashley understood something as she centered herself in the battle. She was the only person who heard that voice.

'Who knows, I suppose that you heard about me from your friends'

"My friends?" Ashley remembered what Alan said to her. 'It seemed that you have become another person'. She noticed that her voice was similar to mine too. But different at the same time. Ashley shaked her head and asks.

"Can you help me?" Ashley knows it isn't the moment to think in the identity of the voice.

'Yes, I can help you. But let me ask you something. What do you want to do? Do you want to save your companions or kill the assassins and monsters?" The voice asked.

"I want to save them, all of them." Ashley answered without a doubt.

'Ho… It seems this part doesn't change...' Ashley couldn't understand the murmures of the voice. And incited her.

"Please gave me some powers, I need to protect my friends"

'Okay, But there is a cost…' The voice said.

"It doesn't matter. Tell me about it, later" The voice laughed and said.

'Okay, Okay, I am going to leave a part of your consciousness awake. Let me the control, Ashley' Ashley closed her eyes for a moment and when she opened it again. She had her eyes red.

This Ashley smiled coldly and waved her sword killing the three assassins in front of her. The others felt this change and attacked her. Even Joel was surprised. She didn't seem like a dying woman now. Ashley killed without hesitation at the assassins that attacked her. Her precision and strong, left atoshined the other players including her companions.

Ashley looked at Dustin and said.

—Escape from here. Take the other players with you —Dustin shivered when those red eyes watched him.

—But...But...— Dustin stuttered but he couldn't continue.

—They are dying —Dustin's eyes trembling as her sentence —Do you want to die? —No, he doesn't want to.

—So, take my advice —Dustin take a deep sigh and take out a parchment of teleportation.

—Will you be fine...? — Dustin asked doubtfully. But he was worried too.

—I'm not going to die — At least for now. Of course she didn't say this part.

—Well, so...— Ashley didn't pay attention to the confused Dustin, pulled up her insignia and tore the parchment with wind magic.

Dustin started to transported accompanied by his companions.

—Take care, whoever you are... — Ashley made a funny smile when she heard the words of Dustin.

Ashley was alone in the middle of all of the enemies. It will be funny, she thought while she attacked.

"You are very strong…" Ashley said somewhat surprised. She was using high level spells while attacked with the sword and her body almost didn't receive injuries.

'I think so…' She keeps an eye on Joel and his magician while she starts to explain something to Ashley.

'Listen to me, I'm forcing your body to accept my power. Your body was almost dead but you can't die. So I'm going to use your life energy to don't leave you die'

"Okay"

'But, It's probably that you die forever the next time you die. Even you can die today' Ashley, kept silent for a while.

"It's okay too, although I don't want to die…" This girl is very honest thought the woman.

'It's only a possibility, I don't want to die, today too" Ashley listened that and said, somewhat confused.

"What do you mean?" The woman said.

'It's obvious, I can only exist inside you. I will die when you die. I am you but I am not at the same time' Ashley was astonished and she didn't answer the voice for a while.

The voice sighed and says 'You are going to have a long time to think about that, after this battle. For now focus on the battle. You must become stronger' Ashley whispered an greed and looked at the battle.

Ashley really had to be surprised as she saw her skills. Of course she can't avoid all the attacks. But manage to avoid fatal blows. She can use several kinds of magic at the same time. Fog to confuse the enemies. Fire, water and ice to throw long distance attacks the monsters and curative magic to cure her injured body. She uses her sword too. But Ashley noticed something. The way she attacks the assassins is very similar to them. She learned skills abilities of murder.

—Ahh! What happened?! — A man among the fog screaming.

—Why can't we revive our partners?! — The panic spread for all the group.

—What? —Joel listened to those words and asked in shock.

The magician to his side said with a trembling voice — I-It's true...We can't revive those who are dying…

—F*ck... — Joel's face turn paled with magician words. In the middle of his panic he saw two red eyes looking at him. Those eyes look at him like a hunter to her prey.

Joel felt anger and fear. He unconsciously took the spear of 'that' man and flew to the fog.

—Bitch!! — A little fog was scattered because of the forceful arrival of Joel.

—Sir! Behind you! — The magician advised Joel but Ashley didn't give him time to react. Joel hardly could stop the sword that aimed to her neck.

—Tsk...— Only a sound of annoyance was heard by Joel before Ashley disappeared among the fog.

Joel felt a chill in his back and he wanted to get out of this fog. Of course Ashley stopped him. She continued to attack him. A cut in his back, a knife wound in his leg. In this situation, Ashley only can do him very small injuries to Joel. But he didn't bear that pain. And shouted.

—Kill her!! Kill this bitch!! Monsters! Assassins! Someone! — Ashley mocking Joel and said.

—Too late — Suddenly the fog disappeared and a magic circle was revealed.

—Claudere Flagare!! — A light illuminated the dark sky. Barriers shut up the assassins and the monsters. Those barriers started to burn with the fire magic inside of them.Burning the monsters inside it. The water magic drowned the assassins and the ice magic froze them. Ashley coughed a puff of blood, her hand trembling uncontrollably and several cuts started to appear in her body. The effort exceeded the limits of this body long ago. If it weren't for a little trap, Ashley's body would have been destroyed.

Despite the pain that Ashley was suffering. She smiled at the scary Joel. Joel shivered with that smile and went toward the magician.

—Activate teleportation! —The magician holds a parchment in his hand waiting for Joel.

Ashley put strength in her trembling hand and created an ice dagger magic with the other hand. The magician got nervous and hurried Joel up. In the moment Joel arrived to his side. He tore the parchment. The magician thought that they were saved. But a moment before the teleportation he heard a scream of pain to his side and felt something stabbed his chest.

"Ho ... .unbelievable…" Ashley only can pant with amazement as she saw that this woman cut the right eye of Joel and stabbed the magician with the ice dagger.

'¡Hahahaha!... It was funny…' She was crazy, thought Ashley at that moment.

'Hey...little girl...'

"Mm? Are you okay?" It was somewhat strange to ask this question but she can notice the difficult breath of her body.

'Not at all... listen...After you pass out...I don't know how long you will be asleep…' Well, it was to be expected, Ashley thought. My body was covered in blood and my magic was unstable.

"It's okay but you don't look good…" Ashley can hear her laughing.

'There is no need for you to worry about me…See you soon...little girl...' The sun started to illuminate the day and at that moment Ashley passed out and fell out of the sky. From that height probably Ashley's body would get hurt even more. It was lucky that someone caught Ashley before she crashed with the ground.
