Chapter 5

In a small artificial forest inside the Shinigami Academy training grounds , Takuya was sitting cross legged on the ground reminiscing about his previous life.

Suddenly he opened his eyes and could not help but smile as he felt a very familiar reiatsu signature approaching.

" Hahaha.. As expect of a fellow from Zaraki district. Showing your dominance on the first day of the academy!! "

Sure enough in next few seconds Takuya heard the comment from Ikkaku and started walking in their direction.

" It just happened Ikkaku san, those nobles just have very poisonous mouths. Nice to meet you Yumichika san."

Takuya smiled as he shook hands with Yumichika. He remembered this character but not the full details about him. Takuya just knew that both he and Ikkaku were friends and Yumichika had weird aesthetic senses. He also vaguely remembered that Yumichika possessed very powerful zanpakuto but did not use its power properly for some reason.

Anyway Takuya did not mind making acquaintance with a powerful character.

" Well well.. this mysterious ability to completely mask your reiatsu is indeed very special. It's nice to meet you too Takuya kun."

From then on three of them chated for about half an hour before Takuya had to leave for his first class. The main topic was about Ikkaku's other friends who trained together with in their freetime. Takuya was most interested in meeting with Tenzaemon vice captain because he remembered that ten years after the end of Quincy invasion arc, he became captain of his division. Another powerful character.

_____

Takuya had thought that they would go to some kind of special place with kido enchantments to pick up their Asauchi but it turned out he was wrong.

Their instructor Onabara sensei, dragged a cart with him which was filled with tens of asauchi that looked no different from each other.

And Takuya was the first student called by sensei to recieve his asauchi.

The reason?

Because he was the most talented and powerful person among their elite class.

According to the entrance exam test results, students were divided into two classes. Elite and Normal. Naturally Elite class was for students with greater amount of potential.

Simply put, Takuya's talent was recognized by all the teachers of the academy. This was the result Taukya wanted so he was not much bothered by the unnecessary attention.

After all Takuya knew almost nothing about swinging a sword properly , magic spells or movement techniques like Shunpo as he was just a regular earthling before.

By displaying talent, Takuya wanted to gain attention of the teachers so that they were willing to properly guide him patiently in the case Takuya's talent in Shinigami arts turned out to be shabby.

Takuya was pleased by the appreciative look in sensei's eyes. He nodded at sensei and walked towards the cart with wide steps. Obviously Takuya was not as calm as he looked right now because he was finally going to recieve an asauchi which was the first step necessary in awakening his Zanpakuto!

________

The new students of elite class left the classroom and were gathered at a wide dojo. This time all of them were slightly different as they had strapped an asauchi on their waists.

The swords were basically the same and looked quite simple. The handle was black and the scabbard was violet. It was hard to believe that such normal sword woul transform into unique blades after shinigami made a deep connection with them.

The students stood near the walls looking at the center of the dojo where two figures stood opposite each other holding one wooden sword each in their hands.

The two figures were Onabara sensei and Takuya.

" Sensei, are you sure about this? I dont even know the basic stances of Zanjutsu yet much less proficient in them." Takuya said helplessly as he really did not want to fight this time.

After all he really did not know proper styles and it would be too embarrassing to be beaten by his teacher on the first day of school in front of all his classmates.

Heating this sensor frowned slightly and lowered his wooden sword. " Of course I know that Taukya kun. Tell me how many battles have you experienced until now? "

Taukya was puzzled by the question but still thought for a while and shook his head. " How can I remember such a thing. In Zaraki district battles were too common so more than one hundred at least ..I guess.."

" What did he say? "

" More than 100 battles? Wow! "

" Shut up! He must be lying. Takuya would have long been killed if there were so many battles. After all he said that he did not know even the basics of Zanjutsu ! "

The sounds of whispers irritated sensei and he could not help but shout. " Be quiet!! What do you all know about Takuya? Most of you belong to noble families and have not participated in a real life and death battle even once. I dont about Takuya's words because I know about the horrible environment of Zaraki District.

Takuya, no matter what you.. have survived in that bastard place for a long time. So its inevitable that you have honed your own battle style during battles. It maybe immature now but it's also the truth that those are real skills honed in battle.

Thus I need to experience your skills myself before planning a suitable training plan for you. Right now your focus should not be learning the basics of Zanjutsu instead you should focus on honing your present skills while using the basic Zanjutsu stances as reference. You can understand now ,right? "

Hearing these words Takuya could not help but fall silent and ponder.

' Sensei is right! Academy teaches basic skills to students to prepare them for future battles. From then on, they have to form their own battle style while experience battles and gaining experience. On the other hand, I have been fighting for a long time already with hollows and the brutes of Zaraki district without any foundation in basics. So even if I start to invest my time in learning the Zanjutsu skills taught in academy, first I will have to discard my present skills. Now that will take a very long time. So instead of wasting time, it's best to continue to better my present skills by incorporating other styles. "

Thinking this Takuya felt relaxed as the fog in his mind was cleared now. He was really worried that he wont be able to keep up with others in learning shinigami arts but now he realised that his worry was unnecessary.

Everyone has their own understanding of skills. So after perfecting the basics , they will still form different battle styles anyway.

Takuya did not have to be hasty as he has decades to temper his skills. In that time he will participate in many battles and his battle style will inevitably advance as he understood his shortcomings and continue to improve them. ' Sure enough, it was the correct decision to enroll in the academy. It's only the first day and I've already learned a lot from Fukuda and Onabara sensei. '

" I understand now. Thank you for your teachings sensei! " Takuya gave a respectful bow to Onabara sensei and tightened the grip on the wooden sword in his hands.

Seeing the battle stance and serious look in Takuya's eyes Onabara sensei could not help but laugh hastily and took a battle stance too.

" I was correct about you Takuya kun. Remember this! Shinigami Arts Academy is established to train you children to become soldiers for battles. Instead of just swinging your swords, it's way batter to spar with each other seriously and continue to advance your understand of Zanjutsu. Always do your best and dont be afraid of minor injuries as without shedding sweat and blood you will never improve!! "

When his words ended , a powerful momentum suddenly burst out from sensei and gave the students a heavy sense of oppression. It was not reiatsu, just sensei's momentum and it was already so heavy.

Unlike other students , Takuya was not affected by the momentum and instead could not help but smile as his blood started boiling. Images of his previous battles started flaring in his mind and the accumulated heavy murderous aura burst out from Takuya's body which stunned the other students.

Even sensei was surprised because such an aura could not be realised by an average person. Sensei realised that Takuya may have killed even more than he had thought before.

Onabara sensei decided to take this spar more seriously as even he was starting feeling slight pressure from Takuya. Still this made him excited too as which teacher did not want to teach an excellent and powerful student.

Boom! Boom!

Next second only the sounds of swords colliding could be heard because the battle was so fast that the other students could not even see the two figures flashing properly.

At least now they had no choice to admit that their fellow student Takuya was really powerful and talented enough to be appreciated by their teachers already.

They were simply not in the same league as him yet even though all of them belonged to the same elite class!
