Chapter 8

The two teens appeared inside Clay's house, the lad laid the cat girl on the couch. “Hey br-who's this?” a voice asked behind the couch, Kira sat up, surprising the girl almost making her jump up her seat. Kira looked behind her to see a miniature younger female version of Clay with a curious yet annoyed expression.

The young lady looked back at Clay for an explanation, “Kira, meet my younger sister Cady. Cady, meet the girl I found during my mission, Kira.” the young man introduced boredly, the middle schooler looked between the two older teens for a bit before focusing on her older brother.

“I knew you'd steal a girl sooner or later, what now? Plan on doing some perverted stuff to her?” Cady stated plainly. Kira kept a neutral face but a small blush appeared on her face while Clay gained a tick mark as he karate chopped the top of his siblings head, “tch stupid brat with your crazy imagination.” Clay hissed, the young girl rubbed the spot where she was hit on and glared at her brother, “what was that for, idiot!?”

Clay huffed and flops down onto the other couch in the room, “because you're being a pain in the ass as always.” he replied, Cady gave her brother another glare before stomping away. “Why am I here?” Kira asked, forcing her blush away, her body was tense and her eyes scanning the room for any escape route. “Dunno.” Clay answered simply as he patted himself down looking for something, “dunno?” the girl repeated confusedly as the boy continued to look around the room.

The boy scratched his chin for a moment before looking under the couch, “what the hell are you doing?” The neko asked, becoming a bit irritated. Clay didn't say anything as he sat back down and threw something at the girl who luckily caught it, she looked down to see a controller, she looked back at her ‘capturer’ and saw him holding a similar one.

Before she could say anything, the boy turned on the console in the room and put on some Gun Gale Online. Clay, still without a word, started playing while Kira sat there confused on what she could do. Minutes passed and the girl was so indushed in her thoughts that she didn't notice that she also started playing.

“On your left!” Clay suddenly blurted out confusing the girl until she got a grenade to the face killing her avatar, the girl growled and threw her controller at the male hunter who caught it easily. She then started raging and hissing from time to time, yet she soon stopped and sat there fuming, Clay snickered and paused the game before standing up and walking out of the room. He patted the girl's head, getting an angry but cute glare from her.

Kira sighed and leaned back taking a better look of the room, there were a couple of pictures on the wall of the siblings and a white haired old man and some outstanding paintings. Clay walked in the room with some food and placed it in front of Kira before walking back out.

The girl raised an eyebrow and looked at the food and cautiously took a bite. Her eyes widened as she started gobbling down the food in a matter of minutes. The male hunter walked back into the room with a blanket and pillow and placed it on the couch that he was sitting on, he offered the girl a hand and helped her to his room and placed her on his bed.

“You can sleep in my room tonight, I'll take the couch. As for something to wear, you can use one of my shirts.” Clay yawned out boredly before walking to his closet and pulled out his uniform before walking out of the room. Kira waited a couple of minutes before she slowly got up and limped to the boy's closet and pulled out a fairly large shirt and changed before flopping on the bed and immediately fell asleep.

Kira's eyes fluttered open, she yawned loudly and sat up rubbing her eyes. It took her a minute to remember the events that happened yesterday. She looked around the bedroom observing the various consoles, games, game posters, paintings and some comic books. She stood up and stretched her limbs heariya satisfying crack, she then limped her way out of the room down to the kitchen.

The first thing she noticed was a note on the kitchen island, “Me and Cady went out to school and we'll come back around 3 or so, maybe later at night for me if there's a demon attack somewhere. Breakfast is in the fridge, just needs to be reheated. Feel free to play some games or read some books or whatever to pass the time. -Clay”. The girl sighed and grabbed her breakfast out of the fridge and heated it up.

She ate in silence wondering exactly why that boy brought her to his home and was treating her like a guest. What baffled her more was why she hadn't tried or thought of escaping. She shook off her thoughts as she got up to place her plate in the sink and started wandering around the house. She stopped in a room that had a shelf full of books, she looked at the various options until one caught her eye.

“The seven deadly sins'' read the title of the book. Curious, the girl grabbed it and opened it.The book was… blank? She was confused until she heard some gears moving and the wall next to her opened up revealing some stairs leading downwards. “Uh what the heck?” she whispered confusly, looking around before walking down the stairs.

When she got to the bottom she was gobsmacked at what she found. There was a large room that was split into three sections, the first section had several technological equipment with six large monitors in the middle each showing different images of codings, satellite images etc. The second section had a training may with various weapons and training dummies around it. The final section had a wall full of pictures and notes with red strings running along them and a long table with notebooks and files.

“What the fuck!?” Kira shouted at the top of her lungs, her eyes wide enough that they could pop right out. She limped around the secret room looking over every single thing, when she was in the investigation section (well what she guessed was the investigation section), she looked at the notebooks on the table until she found a fairly old one with demonic writing on the cover. She opened it and read the inner title 'Diary of Diablo Blakeley.'
