Chapter Twenty - Five - Diary Entry #6

September 9, 1822

Since we came to the countryside, I’ve been having a recurring nightmare.

In the dream it starts off as any other day, I get up, get ready, and I walk downstairs to greet mother and father, but the hall seems to go on forever. By the time I reach the end night has already fallen. When I get to the dining room, all of the lights are out. I light a candle, revealing the blood coated room. My parents lie lifeless at the table. I turn to run, but behind me stands the red-eyed man. That's the point where I always wake up covered, in a sweat.

Mother says that it's just homesickness, but it feels so real. I know this might sound crazy, but it feels like it's really happened.
