MEMORY: Good and Evil (Part 1)

“I stared at her. I can’t believe I stared back at Evil Quin!” Victor, one of my classmates, couldn’t contain his excitement. He was bragging to us this little defiance of his when he was issued a disciplinary slip yesterday.

Mornings in our classroom had become news updates and casualty reports brought about by no other than Evelyn Quintana and her minions. ‘Evil Quin’, as it appeared, had accused Victor of not following the curfew yesterday when he was found in the gym after 5 p.m. “I just went back to get my ID. But she wouldn’t believe me.”

“That’s tough, man. Either way you’re gonna get a slip for coming to school without an ID,” one of the guys said.

“That’s not discipline. That’s bullying!” said Charles, and slid his glasses up in place. Intriguingly enough, I find his name, Prince Charles, fitting to his position as Class President.
