What if you've already crossed that line?

“What's about the live program you had? I told you to back out!”

“Stop yelling! I'm having a headache.” says Myla, while she supports her head from the noise.

Jamal sighs, and pinches the brim of his nose.

“I can't back out, Jamal. And, you know that. We had a contract,”

“What contract? The one that almost killed you? Are you ready to risk your life for it!”

“W–what are you talking about?”

He chuckles, and rest his hands on his waist. “You still haven't understood of course.”

“Stop using parables when talking to me, if you want me to understand. I know I hid the details of the contract from you, but we solved the issue, already. There's no need to quit. Why are you making this a big deal?”

“It is a big deal, Myla! I'm going to be straight with you. Those people—are evil. They poisoned you at your friend's party! Now, stop being blind and get the picture!”

Myla silently stares at him, then chuckles and robes her chin, while moving towards the bathroom.

“So...you're trying to cover up your negligence, by using my career as medium to prove you're innocent? Wow! That's just— great!”

He follows behind her. “You know what your problem is? You think everybody thinks like you. That's why you're this naive. But, you're not a baby anymore, Myla. Wake up and see reality!”

She shakes her head, sarcastically.

“Do you realize that you can't just stop people from getting what they want! They'll keep framing you everytime you refuse to do what they ask of you. And, you won't be able to resist for long, because unlike others who are tempted by the devil, you seek for his hand to get tempted!”

She pauses and faces him greatly annoyed by this statement.

“Myla, you will not go there! Forget about the contract, I'm going to handle it,”

“You've made enough decisions for me. It's time I make mine. You can't stop me from going there. And, stop denying that you know nothing about the drugs. I know you know those who did that to me! They are not from my production. They are from your past!”

“Myla! Don't push me! I'm not going to have this discussion with you, again. You're going to do as I say!”

Myla bits on her lips, and walks away angrily.

...

“I had a very bad day.”

Michal chuckles pulling the weight above his shoulders.

He places it down after two more turns and gives his full attention to Jamal.

“Man, your wife is truly difficult. I mean, with all the things you told her?”

Jamal says nothing.

“Listen, the day is not over yet. Try to get closer to her, later.”

“It's not as if we don't sleep on the same bed. I'm trying my best to control myself from crossing that bold line. But, I'm starting to feel, she wants it so badly. And, that will surely happen anytime, soon.”

Michal takes up his mineral bottle of water to his head and brings it down to his feet.

“What if you've already above that line? Remember what you told me, before? So, if you're going to do it again, it's not going to be the first time. You just lucky it caught nothing.”

Jamal sighs. “Yeah, man, I am. Hopefully, nothing. I could've been dead by now.”

They laugh a little, and Jamal says, “I don't know what I'm going to do with that Prince, for lying utterly about our deal.”

“You won't do anything. He's a man of power as you are. Except, if you want war.”

Jamal nods. “You're right. I don't want that. But, I'm going to meet with him. He has to tell me why he did that,”

“No problem. For as long as it ends well. People like that are mostly annoying.”

“And, I know just how to handle them. So, how's Nina?”

“She's not as different as your wife right now. But, I guess I can cope.”

“At least the baby must be giving her trouble. Myla, nope. That's just who she is. We shouldn't be comparing our wives, should we?”

“Yeah. They are different beings.”

“Very different.”

“But—don't you think...Myla, could be into a tuff time? She has been keeping a lot of things from you. A strange behavior. What about you try to make her confine to you. Spend more time with her, or play video games together. You know what I mean... Try to rekindle the trust.”

“Thanks, for making me guilty.”

Michal chortles.

“Your welcome.”

...

Brenhilda is on the stiring, while Myla is seated next to her and Tiffy, at the back seat.

“I agree with him.”

Myla looks over at Brehilda. “I'm not surprised.”

Brehilda rolls her eyes. “Common, Myla don't be stubborn. This is the same issue of the past. He has never wanted you there. Why can't you just back out?”

“Exactly! It's the same issue. And he still hasn't understood how important it is to me. Didn't we take a trophy for our good work?”

“Yes, you had a trophy, because y'all made love in the movie. Are you seriously assuming it'd mean nothing to you if someone else had his place?” Tiffy says.

Brehilda looks at her through the rare view. “I mean, people like us won't mind a James Bone.”

Tiffy chortles, and Myla shakes her head. “This is not about him guys. And, you're right. I won't accept that for anybody. That's why we edited the contract.”

Brehilda rolls over the lot of the building they had to visit.

She offs her engine and looks at her friend, Myla.

“But, we all know they didn't accept it. Just look at what happened to you in that woman's house. They could've kill you!”

“They? We don't know them. Let's stop concluding they are from the production house. It could be anybody, from anywhere.”

“Ok, guys. I think we should continue this inside.” Tiffy says.

“That's what I was about telling her. But, thanks for being my mouth peace.”

Tiffy rolls her eyes at Brehilda as they descend the car.

“I love the sun, today.” Tiffy says.

“Me, too.” Brehilda response.

“So, guys how y'all doing with the new movie?”

“We are best enemies there. So, it's spectacular.” Brehilda answers.

Myla chuckles. “Really, that must be crazy. Can't wait to see it shooting out. Besides, you said you won't be able to handle the acting career with your current business?”

“I said that. Well, once in a while let's get out of the box. After all I found Brown through that.”

“Oh. Tell me, more.” says, Myla.

They walks into the building, and everybody turns their gazes to them. Some people even take pictures.

“Come this way ladies.” A huge man says, directing towards the left.

“Thanks,” Tiffy replies.

Myla walks ahead and pumps into James.

“Talking of the archangel…” Tiffy mutters under her breath.

Myla faintly smiles. “What are you doing, here?”

“Look around you. What do you think people do here?”

She chuckles. “Off course I know. I just didn't know what to say. So, you finally met with her, huh?”

“It's complicated. We'll talk about it later.”

She smiles. “Sure. Well, these are my friends. Brehilda, and Tiffy,”

“Oh. I know who they are. Congratulations on your movie.”

They smiles back, and say in unison. “Thank you.”

“You don't look enemies to me.”

“No, we are not. Movie stays movie.” Brehilda answers.

“Oh. So, you mean if we get together sometime, it's going to be the end?”

“Sorry, I'm taken. But, in the movie, nope.”

They chortle, and Tiffy says. “You don't have to worry, James. I'm all at your service.”

He chuckles. “If my ex will let that happen.”

Tiffy frowns, and Myla speaks. “No, don't tell me she's running after you again?”

He presses his lips into a thin line. “Surprise. I didn't expect it.”

“No one would have. Whatever duhh. We should head on now. We'll be late for our meeting.”

He nods. “Can I talk to you for a minute?”

She looks at her friends. “Uhh—ok. If it doesn't take long.”
