Annul the contract.

The others move ahead, while they stay back.

“You have to be careful. The last you talked to me about the contract, it was a plan for you to fall into the start. Jessie was sent to invite you to her party. When I heard, I promised to be there to keep an eye on you. I knew something was going to go wrong. But, I didn't know they planned on drugging you. I'm not saying it's her. I'm just saying, she knows about it.”

Myla blinks her eyes a number of times. Her heart pounding in her chest, rapidly as she absorbs his words.

“You mean, Jessie didn't make the party for fun? It was all a plan to frame me?”

He nods. “You don't have to tell her anything. I'd advise you stay away from her. Because, right now, she's the only means through which they can harm you. Also, it wasn't a mistake that they didn't talk to me about the resolved contract. They gave you a fake copy, but the real deal was to take place. Mr. Andrew told me this himself. He said he was just following orders. I'm sorry I couldn't tell you about it, then.”

Myla wipes her face. “I can't believe Mr. Andrew will do such a thing. He is a good man.”

“We all know he is. Sometimes people change on the circumstances of their life. They must've given him a great offer to implicate that. Remember, he's not the decision maker of the production house. This must be the work of the managers, and team producers.”

“This is unbelievable. How dare they!”

“Keep calm. Everything is in control. But you have to wash you steps. If not, they'll take you down and destroy your image.”

Myla nods. “Thank you so much.”

He grins and parts her hair, before leaving. Myla walks back to her friends.

“What did he say, that has made you worried?” Brenhilda asks.

Myla shakes her and takes a deep breath. “You were right guys. Jessie is a monster. I should've listened to my husband.”

They look at each other flabbergasted, then back at their friend who stands there in deep thoughts.

...

Someone rings the bell and Jamal walks down to open the door, and remembers the camera he put at the entrance.

He manipulates his phone and a black image of the garden shows up. No one is at the door, but there's a box on the steps.

He moves out briskly, takes up the package, after looking around him, and take it home.

He opens it and sees a document. When he unveils it to read through, he sees the copy of the house plan he was looking for.

His brows cringe. He looks around his house, suspiciously, then shoves the documents on a table at the side of the room.

He runs up and opens a room made of camera footages. He goes through a series of them and sees someone masked right up to his/her teeth, sliding into their house, then living minutes after Myla packs in the garage.

He encrypted these computers locked here, that even his wife is unaware of it.

He also sees the day Latif came to see Myla, and Jessie—was invited by Myla to their house.

“Damn it, bitch!”

...

“How could it be possible, that she stole the house plan before knowing Myla? It must be someone else.” Michal, says.

“Michal has a good point. Yes, she came to your house. But, then we have Latif, who came by and said all those things to your wife. Don't you see it suspicious.” Amid, says.

Jamal thinks for a while as he rest his head against the chair.

“Means she stole it when she sneaked in.”

“That depends on when you noticed it was missing.” Amid says.

“I don't think there's anything to think about right now. The intruder is right before our eyes. And, that's Latif,” says, Michal.

“This doesn't make any sense. Why will she take the house plan and returns it so pathetically?” Jamal, asks.

“Because, she is Pathetic. Remember, she had brain disabilities sometime. Maybe, her doctor stopped giving her treatments. It's so clear now.” Michal, analysis.

“If she was the one who said those things about Gabriella, she wouldn't have discussed with her at all. At your party.” Michal, says.

“I wasn't paying attention. But, anyway, I've assigned some men to guard the house, and Myla will have a personal body guard.”

“Did you talk to her about this before making this decision?” Amid, inclines.

“She's going to make crises out of nowhere. I have to do it before telling her.”

...

Jamal walks down the alley and everyone adjust as he makes his way into an office, where managers, producers comes together to have a meeting.

The guards assigned don't even dare to stop him, when he opens the door. Everyone snap his/her head to his direction.

The Author of the gathering stands. “Mr. Jamal...what an acquaintance to meet you, here.”

“I have something to say to everyone in this room, concerning my wife.”

Some of the board members look at each other fearfully.

“Sure. Umm...off course. We can talk in my office.”

“No need. I just came for you to withdraw the contract she made with this company.”

While some of them are befuddled by what is going on, others are fully aware.

“B–but why, Sir? Is anything wrong?”

“I better not say. I respect this company, but if you do just this for us, I'd be very pleased, and won't take things personally.”

“Jamal, your wife has signed for this contract herself. No one pressured her to. So, if you're making decisions for her, let her be here to agree to it, before we do anything. Except, if you're boldly going against the law right now.” one of the board members say.

Jamal smirks, dangerously and says, “The law fears me. Because, if there's someone going against it amongst us, it's you. Listen, I didn't come here to blable. If you all don't do as I say, it's this company, against me. And, trust me I don't loose. Ever!”

He turns around to leave, and Dr. Ed chuckles, “Do you think, because you have money, you can use the law against us?”

Jamal clenches his jaws, while the Author of the meeting, sends Ed a warning gaze.

Jamal faces him, throwing daggers at his face. “Like I said, the law fears me. I wouldn't go to them, to get what I want. I take care of my problems. And, when I do, no one interferes. So, keep watch Ed. Maybe, you'd be a victim of my wrath. I still haven't forgotten what you did to my wife.”

“She wasn't your wife back then!”

“Yes, and she didn't tell you she wanted to be yours. If you're used to sleeping around with your workers, you crossed the wrong woman. As for you, Mr. Andrew, you know better than following foolish orders, with such a good heart you have.”

“If you hold on to the things you are scared to loose, you'll end up loosing them. So, choose wisely. If I hear any of you talking about, that contract on media, I'm going to bring this house down, alongside each and everyone of you. And I'd start from you, Ed,”

Dr. Ed grits his teeth as Jamal walks out of the office.

“What was that about? What in the world was he talking about?” one of the board members question.

Silence fills the room.

“We can't win over Mr. Jamal. We know that. So, whosoever handled Myla's case, should clear it up, now!” the head of the assembly says.

“Everyone should be calm. Nothing is going to happen. Myla, hasn't agreed to this. When she does, we'll think about it.” Mr. Ed, says.

“Are you out of your mind! Did you even listen to what he just said? Annul the contract! We don't want trouble.” Mr. Andrew, says.

“I fully agree with him. Don't press on. Stop acting confident. If you want it fall, fall alone. I'm out.” another member speaks.

“Oh, common. I know you're—scared about your family. He has one, too. So, chill. The Jamal I know won't go that far.”

Mr. Andrew looks over at Ed. “I can see you've gone knots. You don't even know him. Just because he was in the movie house, years ago, doesn't mean he's going to give you space to play with Myla. Besides, you touched his family, first. The Jamal you don't know, is dangerous. He has a lot of power, now. Not just of his money. But, the respect for his family.”
