"Switch!" the tank player shouted.
"[Come At Me], [Steel Body], [Pure Mind]!"
Another tank player used 3 skills continuously, while the other 2 were helping to deal damage as much as they can until their skill cooldown is reset.
"[Fireball]"
A mage shot a fireball from the distance and got a critical hit to the boss.
"Nice!"
"Keep attacking, its health is already at 50%."
"Their coordination is amazing even though it's a sudden party," Thought Zyou.
The 3 tankers were absolutely played a big role in the raid, there's not a single time they miss the aggro. If only the DPSs have a high damage input, the raid will be finished faster than this. The only DPS with high damage is the guy with a crossbow.
The crossbow is less used by archer players because its attack distance is shorter and its damage is lower than a longbow, though the crossbow is a little bit better than a short bow.
Each type of bow weapon has its own strength and weakness. Like a longbow that has a longer attack range and high damage but its attack speed is lower than the 2 bows. Crossbow has a shorter attack range than the other bows but its damage is comparable to a longbow and has a higher attack speed. And lastly, the short bow is the most balanced in attack range and speed than the other bows except that it's not durable and has lower damage.
The reason why the crossbow is less used even than the short bow was because of their attack range mechanic. The crossbow has a mechanic called 'range point', if you attack too far or too close the damage will be reduced. Therefore, the damage dealt by crossbows is inconsistent, unlike shortbows or longbows if they didn't use the range point mechanic to its full potential.
If someone can shot an arrow with a crossbow in the range point or in the right distance, the damage dealt is increased by 30%, and also the increases of a critical hit by 20% from that one attack. If only there is somebody with a high mastery with a crossbow and their range point mechanic, who can always trigger that range point damage, they'll surely become the best archer that can even stand against aggressive play from players in PVP or aggressive monster PVE.
"That crossbow guy, I don't know why he always moving around even though he is using a crossbow. However, I can see that that person is the one who deals more damage than the others."
That crossbow guy that was mentioned by Zyou always attacks while on the move, most of the attacks he does are when he's in the mid-air. And that aerial attack he did seems like the attack that always deals more damage.
"Is that the right way to play using a crossbow? Because I've never seen anyone played using a crossbow before."
The other players who were fought along with him were also fascinated by his crossbow's gameplay.
"Is that guy for real?"
"Damn, look at that. He's attacking in the mid-air with a crossbow, how can he managed to fly that long?"
"It's like I just watched an anime battle where the MC did something unusual."
The player who always gives a command also started to notice him, but shortly after he focused to give out commands, "Let's focus on the boss first everyone. It health only 30% left."
"Yes, sir."
'That guy, I want to recruit him. I'll talk to him after this,' the command guy thought.
Finally, they defeated the Kobold Ancestor in 40 minutes. Each player who participates in the raid will be given a participation reward, the item dropped from the boss will be owned by the player who took the final blow, the top 10 individual and top 3 party contributors in the raid will be awarded a title or a certain amount of gold depending on their contribution if they already have the title. And lastly, the player in charge of the boss' appearance will also be given a reward.
"Is that crossbow guy's name Zetha?" said Zyou after he was looked at the list.
Suddenly, a message system panel popped up in front of him.
"Huh? Why did it ask for my permission when it just showing up all players on the contributor list?" He pressed on the 'Yes' in the message system panel.
"What do I have here..."
Zyou checked all the rewards he got from the raid. The first one was the participation reward, he got 10000 gold and armor's essences x3. And the second one was from the boss' summoner reward, he got a skill book.
"10000 golds, 3 armor's essences, and a skill book. It's not that bad for someone who only hit the boss once in the raid," he chuckled.
When Zyou was checking his reward. Someone approached him from behind.
"Are you the boss' summoner?" said the voice.
Zyou turns around and found a player with set equipment of elf forest's archer and wearing a white cloak with Yggdrasil pattern.
'It's that crossbow guy, what business does he have with me though?' thought Zyou.
"Yeah, I'm the boss' summoner. What business does a top raid contributor have with me?"
"You flattered me. I just want to know where you get the item for summoning boss field," he humbly asked.
"Hmm, information is expensive you know. I'm afraid I can't tell you that without some gold or we can just trade information," Zyou made a gesture hand of a coin.
"Well, that's fine. I could give you either gold or information, but I don't think I have any useful info."
"Then we're deal?" Zyou asked.
"Yes."
"Cool. So, I only want to know how you can manage to always get the range point on the crossbow."
"Ah, that's because of my class."
"What is your class, though?"
"It's Marksman," said Zetha when showing his profile to Zyou.
"Unique class?!! That means you're the 4th?!"
"Shhh..." Zetha gestured his hand in front of his lips.
The command guy accidentally overheard their conversation. His ears twitched as he heard the word 'Unique class'.
"That is the crossbow guy from earlier, right? What are they talking about? Unique class? Has he had it?" he thought while he was smirked, "I should persuade him to join my guild if he really has a unique class. Even if he didn't have it, he's still a better DPS."
"What's the matter, Dannje?" his friend asked.
"It's nothing, I'm just about to get a big fish," Dannje laughed.
"???" while his friend didn't have any idea what Dannje just said.
