Chapter 4 Return To Sender

[System: 10 Minutes Remain… If The Trial Is Not Completed In The Stated Time It Will Result In Failure… If This Happens The Penalty Will Be Applied… The Penalty For Failure Is…Death]

In that moment he froze up as his life flashed before his eyes.

" I can't let this be for nothing. I must push through otherwise my life would have been for nothing. I must push through to make it home. I must do it for their sake. I must do it to make them pay, But how…? " ( Bojing )

Clenching his fists tight he dashed up close to one of the bosses and delivered a powerful blow, but again it did little damage. To top that off all the bosses had health regeneration, although much weaker than his own. Even though attacked the boss dared not attack.

" Dammit, I have only just got this power. I finally have a chance to change things for the better and yet I'm still not strong enough. Why must I always be this weak? " ( Bojing )

Drawing back his fist he continued punching it, but no matter how hard he tried the damage still wasn't enough. Even after all his leveling how could he win? Did he really think he could become stronger just by gaining some rare abilities? Sure, they are strong and unique, but they weren't meant for assaulting but rather guarding. How could they possible work in this situation? These depressing thoughts continued forming in his mind. For once he felt completely " Useless ".

" I knew it… Without those guys I can't win on my own! " ( Bojing )

Falling to his knees he closed his eyes. He had completely given up. There was nothing he could do. There was nothing he could ever do. In the dark recesses of his mind, he heard a voice calling out, but it wasn't anyone he remembered… even stranger it was the sound of… screaming. Turning to face the sound an image appeared.

*Huff Huff Huff

" Quickly, we must hurry to the dungeons before they catch us! " ( ??? )

" Daddy, I'm scared. " ( Girl )

Watching on, blasts of skills and weapons flew past close to their bodies. Around them humanoid monsters began dropping like flies, But that wasn't the most depressing part.

" That voice… Is that him? " ( Bojing )

Running through the hall's shadows encased them both boosting the monster's speed.

" Don't worry. I won't let the, hurt you, I promise. " ( ??? )

Clinging tighter to him, the girl remained visibly shaken.

" There they go, we must kill them all before they reach the dungeon. " ( Player )

A concentrated barrage fell upon their surroundings, but the monster dodged them with ease reaching the dungeon hall. Dashing through it's corridors he had no idea where he was headed. All he knew was he had a strong feeling about a certain path which ultimately paid off.

" See Yang were almost there, we should be safe in that trap room. " ( ??? )

" Does this mean… we won't have to run and hide anymore? " ( Yang )

" It sure does. " ( ??? )

The girls face lit up in happiness.

Dashing through the door this was the final stretch as the door began too slowly close. With only a small crack remaining he placed the girl down on the ground and gave her a head pat. Finally, they made it.

" See I told you we wou- " ( ??? )

*Splash

Flying through the crack a single arrow shot in, piercing through the little girls head rendering her lifeless.

" Nooooo, Yang! " ( ??? )

Catching her on his knees as she fell he felt her last remaining breath leave her body. Welling up with rage he looked up through the closing crack. As it began to seal, a smirking player wielding a bow was surrounded by other laughing humans.

In this moment his rage bellowed over, flowing out of his body condensed mana began lighting up the dungeon room with an eerie red glow. Pulling his daughter in close she began dispersing, combining with his mana. In this moment he felt hatred unlike any other.

" I hate you. All off you. I'll make you pay; I'll make all the players pay! " ( ??? )

In the crimson light his shadow shrouded face became visible to Bojing who looked on in horror.

" No… Wang? " ( Bojing )

[System: Transfer Complete… Skill Tree Added… New Status Screen Added…Duality Has Been Acquired...Level Up Confirmed…Shadow Stalker Class Obtained.]

In that moment Bojing could feel every inch of pent-up rage that Wang felt. He felt a strong dislike for Players. He felt a strong rage for the society he grew up with, but most of all he felt the dying girls last breath. This shook him to his core. After this realisation the vision ended abruptly and he opened up his eyes.

Kneeling, his rage was boiling over. His body felt numb but most of all he felt sorry for Wang, for what he went through. In that regard it reminded him of what happened to him. They both felt so similar. In that moment of rage he had a sudden thought.

" Hey Wang… I just figured out how to beat them. " ( Bojing )

Dispelling his Regen shield he gathered his energy into his right palm. Walking up to one of the bosses he placed his palm on the beats stomach…

[System: Active Skill Conjure Shield Has Been Used]

" ( Hey, what are you doing! ) " ( Wang )

" The skill says I'm not the only one who I can shield, the same goes for my buffs. " ( Bojing )

[System: Active Skill Reflection Shield Has Been Used]

In that moment Bojing knew he wasn't strong enough. He never was strong enough. He always relied on others to win. That was an indisputable fact, however in his intense rage he realised it wasn't only a weakness. It is also his greatest strength. A strength he would use to make them pay.

" Come on big guy. What is the matter? Hit me! " ( Bojing )

Still no reply. The boss knew it was a trick, although it didn't matter anymore.

" Fine then. Take this! " ( Bojing )

Winding back, he unleashed his strongest punch he could ever muster.

" ( Hey, what are you doing? It is only going to reflect and hit you back. ) " ( Wang )

" Just wait. You will see soon enough. " ( Bojing )

Just as Wang said the weak punch collided with the boss and reflected hitting Bojang with twice its original strength.

However, it didn't stop there as Bojang's plan was now complete. Due to his own Reflection shield still being active the blow was sent back to the boss doubling again, and again, and again in a never-ending cycle. When the attack was strong enough Bojang shrinked the shield instantly killing the boss, which let out an agonising scream.

*Arrrrggghhhh!

" Whoa, that's brilliant! " ( Wang )

" That isn't all, look closer. " ( Bojing )

Looking closer the shrinked patch of shield remained. Waving his hand the shield moved with his palm, touching another boss and instantly killing them.

" Heheheheh, I may be useless on my own but that isn't a weakness. It is instead my greatest strength. You are all screwed now so DIE! " ( Bojing )

Dashing around, one after one the bosses began to fall until none remained. A sinister smirk appearing on his twisted face all the while.

[System: The Trial Is Now Complete… Congratulations]

" I… I actually did it. " ( Bojing )

A strong wave of satisfaction could be felt in his gut. For once he wasn't the weakest in the room, but that wasn't all. With this power he could surely make a change to this corrupted world.

[System: Please Collect Your Rewards From Your Mail Box]

Opening up his menu he was expecting maybe on decent item, but to his surprise a whole list of powerful gear appeared before his eyes.

" Wait what. How are there so many rewards? " ( Bojing )

[System: You Weren't Meant To Get This Many… However By Waiting Until The Final Moment You Gained Several Bonuses And Extra Drops From The Additional Bosses That Appeared During This Trial]

" Holy Crap, those are pretty strong and rare. They look like specific gear crafted only for you. A one in a lifetime item. " ( Wang )

" How do you know that. " ( Bojing )

" Don't forget I also am a duality wielder, meaning I have completed the trial myself. " ( Wang )

At that moment Bojing remembered that final breath, the cries of anguish and the declaration of justice.

" Hey man… there is something I wanted to tell you about. " ( Bojing )

There was silence for a moment before he spoke.

" You saw the vision didn't you… figures, it was only an amount of time before it would happen. Yeah, My Daughter became my Duality. Don't worry to much about it… I can still talk to her after all. " ( Wang )

" Yeah, I guess you're right, but what I wanted to say is that in the vision I felt your pain and I cannot let it go unchecked. I will get help you find your justice. I swear it! " ( Bojing )

" Hehe, I figured as much. I guess I'll take you up on that offer. " ( Wang )

Accepting all of his items they start equipping onto his inventory. However in the long list a few additional things were included.

For starters there were three new skills:

[Active Skill: Duality Summon – Summon your Duality with their own physical form]

[Active Skill: Shield Shape - The player alters their shield into the form of whatever they desire. The craftsmanship and detail is only as good as the users level]

[Passive Skill: Duality Share – You can select one passive ability you have and allow your Summoned Duality to use its ability]

" Wait… . " ( Bojing )

" What? What is it? " ( Wang )

Wasting no time Bojing scrolled through his skills searching for a specific skill.

" Ah, found it, Let's hope this works… " ( Bojing )

[System: Active Skill Duality Summon Has Been Used]

With a flash of crimson light Wang flowed out of Bojing's body into what looked like his old body.

" Whoa, how is this possible? " ( Wang )

" Heh, Hold up, I am not finished yet.

[System: Passive Skill Duality Share Has Been Used… Wang Can Now Use The Skill Duality Summon]

" There, all done. " ( Bojing )

[System: Active Skill Duality Summon Has Been Used Automatically]

In that instant another bright flash of light emerged revealing a little girl. Wang couldn't take his eyes off of her while tears started rolling from his eyes.

" Y… Yang, is that really you? " ( Wang )

" Hi Daddy, it is great to see you again. " ( Yang )

Running over she crash tackle hugs him.

" I'm sorry, I am so sorry. I couldn't keep my promise to you. " ( Wang )

" What do you mean, it is because of you that I stayed alive. Id say you have more than kept your promise. " ( Yang )

Whilst they were talking, Bojing reached out his right arm, pulling the monsters remains to him in a flow of bright green energy.

" Holy Cow… That's a lot of levels! " ( Bojing )

" What do you mean. Of course, you would get that many. Me and Yang Also gained some levels. Although how did you know how to do that. " ( Wang )

" Heh, I saw it in an anime about a slime once so I thought id give it a shot. " ( Bojing )

" Bwahahahaha. You never cease to amuse me. " ( Bojing )

[System: The Dungeon Is About To Collapse… Please Exit Using The Door Provided]

" Right, on that note we should get going. " ( Bojing )

Walking over to the door he placed his palm upon it pausing for a brief moment.

" Heh, I wonder what lies in store for us now. All I know is this world better be ready because were coming to change things, and we won't stop until we fix this broken world! " ( Bojing )

Pushing on the door he and his new party walk through it teleporting out. After the blinding light disappeared Bojing couldn't help but smirk.

" Heh, Were back. It is time to get to work! " ( Bojing )
