CHAPTER THREE

Vanessa POV

When i got back to the room, i saw it was still empty as i left it (not that i was expecting anyone) except for the fact that there was a bag in the room. I went to see what was in the bag and saw some clothes and a note from Veronica.

'You weren't in the room when i came back, so i dropped some clothes for you since you will be leaving the hospital tomorrow. I will be coming by 10 in the morning so get ready. Also don't forget to eat your dinner. See you tomorrow.'

I smiled after reading the note, although i didn't know anything about Veronica and her sister i was still happy to know someone cared about me.

I went back to the bed and thought to myself how my life was before the accident, Who was I? For some strange reasons the name Vanessa doesn't ring a bell in my memory but i felt this wasn't the first time i was involved in an accident.

Not knowing for how long i was in my thought, I started feeling hungry. And since Veronica was kind enough to also drop dinner for me as well, i quickly went over to where the food was. After eating i took my pills and was sleepy so i went back to sleep.

'You are a jinx, everyone who associates with you ends up sharing the same fate with you. Mom died because she tried to save you. You took everything away from me, my happiness and now my mom i wonder what next you will take away from me.'

Waking up, what was that about? Who is the jinx? Is that a dream or a part of my memory? I think it's dream but what a weird dream. I checked the time and saw that it was 6:30am. I tried to sleep again but i wasn't lucky enough to fall asleep so i stood up from the bed to go and get ready to leave the hospital even though i knew i had nowhere to go.

Jasmine POV

When i saw Veronica in the hospital the other day i was surprised. What was she looking for? She didn't seem to know Amelia was in the hospital until i told her, but the surprising part of the story is that she has been taking care of Amelia for three month now and she doesn't know Amelia wasn't dead, was she pretending not to know?

I have to get Amelia out of the hospital before Veronica gets her discharged, if she doesn't know that the girl she's been taking care of is her sister then it's better if she doesn't find out. If Amelia regains her memory she might recognize Veronica and who knows what might happen if she does, she still harbors a great amount of hatred to Veronica for abandoning her.

Why did Veronica abandon her in the first instance? She had always loved her sister or is there something i don't know? Pushing my thoughts aside i decided to go to the hospital and get Amelia out.

After thirty minutes drive, i got to the hospital checking my phone for time i saw it was 8:30. I went straight to the doctor who told me what i needed to do. Fifteen minutes later i was headed to Amelia's room.

"Good morning"

"Good morning, are you looking for someone?" She said as she rolled her eyes

"I'm here to pick you up, Veronica is busy so she sent me here"

Vanessa POV

Why would Veronica ask someone to pick me up, she said she would be coming over by 10 and its just fifteen minutes to nine. I didn't want to look rude or anything so without any argument i left the hospital with the woman.

After fifteen minutes of awkward silence she decided to speak up although she was looking as if she didn't want to talk but had to cuz she had no choice.

"Veronica told me about your accident and your memory loss" she said looking at me with pity. Here comes nothing i hate it when people look at me with pity.

"So i took it upon myself to see if there was a way to contact your parents and it happened that i actually know your mother so i told her about your accident and she's coming to get you soon"

"You know my mum? How did i not see her throughout my stay in the hospital?" I asked her, Veronica didn't tell me anything about them she said she didn't know about my family. Maybe she wasn't in the hospital when she came that is if she actually came.

"Well, you were not awake the whole time, you just woke up yesterday. She would have visited yesterday or pick you up today but she is very busy" She explained to me.

I was happy that at least someone knows my family and soon enough i will be going home. I didn't even know the car had already stopped moving until i heard someone call my name.

I followed her into her house, she made some scrambled egg for me as breakfast.

"So since it was Veronica who took me to the hospital on the day of the accident do you know if she saw any thing with me, like maybe something that will make me remember who i was?"

Veronica POV

Aunt Jasmine called me telling me Vanessa was with her, how did she even know about Vanessa. She also told me to come over to her place saying Vanessa wanted to ask if i had anything that belonged to her.

Getting my stuffs, i went over to my aunts' and met Vanessa. I gave her her backpack that was with her on the day of her accident. Her bag contained her id, phone and some other things but her phone was destroyed beyond repair and for some reasons i was glad her phone was destroyed because if i remembered what happened on that day, her accident happened after she received that phone call.

I didn't want her to remember who she was( it's strange right?) the old her hated me and would always make my life miserable anytime she had the chance although i didn't know why she hated me.

Twenty minutes later, a woman came who i recognized to be Vanessa's mom, she talked with my aunt for some time and left with Vanessa after their conversation. Vanessa said a goodbye to me and left with the woman.

That was the last time i saw Vanessa.
