CHAPTER FOUR

Vanessa POV

After what seem like hours (it was just a forty five minutes drive), the car came to a stop.

"You are not going to be staying in that car forever, will you?" My mom finally talked, throughout the journey here none of us said anything and it was kind of awkward.

I opened the door and got out of the car, thankfully i didn't have any luggage so i walked towards the house. I was kind of surprised to see the house i didn't think i would be living ina building like this.

"Vanessa, come inside now." I went into the house and was lost in thought, was she the only one staying here? Why was it so quiet?

"Tyler has gone to school and my husband doesn't live with us" she replied as if she could read my thoughts.

I just mouthed an Oh and sat down. " Come here, let me show you to your room"

On our way upstairs, i asked who Tyler was?

"Tyler is my son and your brother" Wait, what...... brother? I have a brother? I was happy down deep within me but my happiness was cut short when she spoke "Tyler doesn't consider you his sister though"

"What do you mean?"

"I adopted you and Tyler wasn't happy with it. It seem like he knew you before i brought you over but he didn't say anything about it."

"Okay, i have a few questions"

" Go on dear" She replied with a smile on her face by now we were already in my room.

"Can i attend the same school as Tyler?" I could tell from the expression on her that she was shocked.

"Are you sure about that? You haven't even met him yet and considering the fact that you guys don't get along." She told me looking worried.

"I'm sure and besides he shouldn't be that bad. I mean i can't remember anything from the past so it should be okay" I told her.

She nodded and left the room. But i was sure she said something even though i didn't hear her.

'Why did Tyler dislike me? What was i like? I wanted to know about my old self and at the same time i didn't want to know. My thoughts was brought to an end when i fell asleep.

'Mia, you look stunning in that dress'

"I look stunning in anything"

" I mean it Mia, you are looking beautiful"

"Thanks for the complement and you are not bad yourself, Ryder"

My blissful dream was brought to an end when someone woke me up. Looking up i saw a guy looking at me, without much thought i knew he was Tyler he was looking at me as if expecting me to say something.

"Tyler???" I asked since i wasn't sure it was him, he's supposed to be in school judging from the time.

"I see you remember me" he said with a smile on his face and i must confess he's actually good looking but did he come here to confirm if i remember him or not, he woke me from my dream just to tell me tell me?

"Are you done staring?" he asked, i didn't even know i was still checking him out.

"I think I'm done now"

"Okay"

"Are you supposed to be here, i mean look at the time you should be in school"

"You sound like mom " I rolled my eyes at his statement. Is mom not home?

"Mom has gone to work if you are wondering why nobody stopped me from entering the house and i practically ditched school"

I replied with an Oh

"So how did you know i was in the house?" I asked him, he didn't seem bad i thought to myself.

"I came home and saw a note mom left saying you were back" He said "Where were you the whole time, i mean i didn't see you at home for three good months and mom won't say anything to me about your whereabouts. Well, not that i cared" he said reminding me we were not on a good term before.

"I actually don't know, i woke up yesterday and found myself in a hospital. When i asked for how long i was there, i was told I've been there for three months" I told him

He looked at me with shocked, did he seriously not know i was in the hospital the whole time? Well he said he didn't care so it's only natural if he doesn't know.

"Wow, you were in the hospital for three fucking months? What were you doing there? How did you end up there?"

Is this guy dumb or something? Why will he ask me what i was doing there? Does he think the hospital is a play ground?

"I don't know how i ended up there but apparently i had an accident and woke up yesterday not to remember anything" I told him hoping he would leave me alone and at the same time i wished he would continue talking to me.

"You can't remember anything?"

"Yes". He muttered something but i definitely heard 'it's nice if she doesn't remember'. what was he talking about?

"Well that's great we can start all over and become good friends but you must tell me if you remember anything" that was easier than i thought but why does he hate the old me? I wanted to ask but decided against it.

"Okay, but can i ask you some questions?"

"Go ahead"

"Can i attend the same school as you?" I knew i didn't need his permission but i didn't want to get on his bad side by going to the same school as him.

"Sure, it will be my pleasure" He told me and i was happy. We chatted for quite a long time because when i checked the time it was three in the afternoon.

"So Tyler, I'm hungry. Can i get something to eat?"

"Of course and you need to stop being polite to me i prefer the rude you, it makes me feel better"

"Okay, i'll keep it mind. So get out now, i want to change my clothes"

He smiled" now that's the you i know" I smiles back at him and watched him leave the room.
