Chapter Seventeen

When Amaris brought Noah down to the room the crew had declared their headquarters, everyone watched and followed her in with silent apprehension. It almost made it hard to breathe.

“Hawk, we need to talk,” she said loudly.

Hawk studied Noah then Amaris before nodding and turning to the rest of the group. “Leave us.”

But Amaris shook her head. “Before you go, I think it's time we figure out who will stay to save the captain and who will return to the Moon Ring.” Hawk threw a careful look towards Noah but she carried. “Those who wish to leave, do so now. You will not be judged. But only those who vow to stay should be here now.” she could feel everyone's eyes on her, some in fury, others in apprehension or surprise but she went on. “Please, the door is open.” No one moved.

“You heard the lady.” Mirage spoke. “Earthshaker, didn't you want to leave?”
