* The Abomination Lived:

Slayer was brought back to the present when a loud shriek erupted from the forest floor. He stood there a little bit longer before deciding he better get back inside and find his faithful servant, Malice.

He had been standing on the tower now for quite some time, enjoying the fresh air and the beauty that the night brought upon the lands. Malice was Slayer's most trusted servant and also his second in command.

Slayer had gotten Malice when he was a newborn baby, while he was taking a walk through the forest; about eighteen years ago. Slayer remembered the day clearly...

******************

It had been a calm, sunny summer day. Slayer had been cooped up in his study all day and he got Bored of just sitting inside the Palace, taking care of things that needed his attention. He had been busy looking over the trading business he had with the neighboring territories.

He had figured some fresh air and a walk would do him some good, it had been awhile since he had went down to the Howler's village; that was at the base of the mountain.

When Slayer had reached the bottom of the mountain, he preceded to enter into the dark, dense forest. He came to notice that someone else was on the trail, walking towards him. It was one of the Kamairas who belonged to the Stronger Kamaira Clan; The Howler's.

Slayer noticed the Kamaira was carrying something that was wrapped in a blanket; and was so immersed in it's thoughts that he almost walked right into Slayer before it noticed someone else was on the path.

When the Kamaira noticed who in fact the person was who it barely missed running into, the Kamaira straightened up and bowed his head immediately to the Lord.

"My apologies, Sir." The Kamaira said quickly and respectfully to Slayer.

Slayer nodded to the Kamaira, letting him know he accepted his greeting and could talk to him freely.

"Were you heading towards the Palace?" Slayer asked.

"Your Majesty, I was on my way to the Palace, needing to speak to You about a situation that has come up in the village, and it's something that needs your immediate attention, Sir." The Kamaira's name was Beast; the strongest and fiercest Warrior of the Howler's Clan, he was also Slayer's troop Commander and he handled taking care of the trading of goods to and from Damns Hollow with the neighboring Kingdoms. Beast, was also in charge of overlooking the lands and making sure that none tried an attack or the other neighboring kingdoms didn't try to sneak in a spy

Beast, served Slayer faithfully and loyally since he started his Reign in Damns Hollow and he had become a good comrade and friend to Slayer over the years.

Beast was a couple years older than Slayer, and he had taught the young Lord about the Kamaira Clans and Beast helped in getting the Kamaira's to accept Slayer as their Lord without them going into battle and losing many lives that weren't needed to be lost.

Beast was one of the very few who could come to Slayer and talk to him freely without needing to request an audience with the Lord first, like everyone else had to do.

"What's the situation?" Slayer asked seeming unfazed and uninterested by Beast's words.

Beast knew better than most Slayer's characteristics, so didn't mind his passive, unenthused response. "Sire one of our females died a little bit ago while giving birth to her pup." Slayer couldn't help but be a little confused as to why Beast would find this to be something that needed his attention. Beast could see the puzzled look in Slayer's eyes and so he continued to inform the Lord, " The reason why I'm bringing this up to you, Sir, is its not so much the newly deceased mother Kamaira dying that's troubling but it's the pup that she died giving birth to that is." Beast said the last part coldly.

Slayer wondered what could be so concerning about the pup the Kamaira mother had given birth to, that Beast found troubling enough to inform him about it.

"I'm listening." Was all Slayer said for Beast to continue with filling him in on the birth of the pup that this Kamaira died delivering and what the problem was.

Beast took a minute to continue talking, looking down at what he held in his arms with a cold, dark expression showing on his face. " The Pup that the mother died giving birth to lived, unfortunately and it shouldn't have. The thing that lived is an abomination."

" An Abomination?" Slayer couldn't help but be a little curious of what made this newborn Kamaira's birth be looked at as an abomination. He wondered what made it an abomination to the Kamaira clan? So Slayer went on to ask; "Is it the abomination that is wrapped in that blanket that you're holding?"

"It is" Beast said looking as if it was in fact something that he shouldn't even be touching. The look of Disgust obvious on his face. " If I may ask for your Majesty's permission to get rid and dispose of it and immediately before the village should hear of such a thing being born? This is the reason I was on my way to see you, in hopes that you'd allow and understand my request. With it taken care of and killed it'll be easier to cover up and hide the truth of a breed like this being born." Beast said to Slayer.

Slayer couldn't help but be more interested by what in fact this breed was that Beast had now mentioned was. What was this baby Kamaira to have Beast make such a remark? "What did the young Kamaira mother mate with, you must know?" Slayer asked.

"It would appear that some how without it being known the young Kamaira mother was involved with a Night Creature from Dark City, Sprague. The one that lyes in the land of the Deadly Plains." Beast informed with Utter hate clearly noticeable in his voice.

"A Night Creature? How are you sure that it is in fact a Night Creature that the female Kamaira mated with?" Slayer couldn't hide the curiosity in his voice, or the expression on his face that showed he found this information to be interesting. Slayer wanted to make sure that he heard Beast telling him was correct, For such a relationship was unheard of. "The baby Kamaira is half Night Creature?" It wasn't something new or unknown for the Night Creatures to come and go in the lands, they did infact roam everywhere in the night hours but never had a Night Creature and a Kamaira been known to interacted with each other. Both were Creatures who stayed to their own kind and would attack without warning if they would ever cross paths with any other kind. So Slayer couldn't hide his shock of hearing this and wanted Beast to tell him everything that he knew about the Kamaira and the Night Creature and the newborn, he was now holding.

"I had went to check on the female because it was known that she would be giving birth for the first time soon and a baby being born, as you know Sir, is celebrated and honored in the Kamaira clans. For our females don't give birth very often and it's difficult for our females to become pregnant, so we all take care of the expecting mother and watch over her.

This mother, was especially doted on by everyone because it was no secret that the young mother was without a mate and was alone. Our kind don't shun our females if this happens because the baby is what matters to us. Regardless of why the female chooses to stay unmated.

So I went to see if she needed anything, how she was feeling lately. I had been Noticing that she had been staying in more and was hardly leaving her house now. I had felt something was off and wanted to check on her, to make sure she was fine. I waited until this morning before I went to check on her.

When I first arrived she seemed fine and nothing seemed to be off with her but it wasn't long after I arrived in her house, that I noticed her behavior towards me started to change. She started becoming fidgety and I started getting the impression as if my presence was what was making her to become suddenly uncomfortable. She started trying to rush me out, becoming impatient and agitated that I had visited her longer than she wanted. I decided it was just something a first time mother went through wanting to be left alone and undisturbed, preparing herself to give birth and become a mother.

So I didn't mind her insistence on me leaving and I was on my way out the door, when I sensed another unknown presence approaching. An ominous and powerful aura I could clearly feel.

When I looked at the female to let her know to stay quiet, thinking of her safety first. It was than that i noticed how she was in obvious discomfort, and distressed about what was happening, not at the unknown presence approaching but of my presence of still being in her house."

Beast was clearly getting irritated by his retelling of what had occurred that morning in that female Kamaira's house. Disgust and Betrayal evident in his voice as he spoke and his eyes were murderous as he recalled what had transpired.

" She suddenly tried calling out to whoever it was that this powerful, unknown aura I felt approach, belonged to. I wasn't expecting this from her, she tried warning the visitor to not enter the house and to leave, but she was too late as the door opened and the Night Creature came through the door at that very second. It didn't catch what it was the young Kamaira was trying to warn it about.

The Creature was caught off guard by this reaction from her and wasn't expecting anyone other then her to be there; so I took advantage of the confused situation and was able to strike quickly, a lethal blow to the Creature. It was over without there being any fight. This is what caused The pregnant mother to become distressed, seeing me kill the Night Creature that had come to see her and she went immediately into labor and died during the delivery.

I was able to hide the body of the Night Creature, so nobody would know what had taken place inside the females house this morning. Telling the ones who knew that I was going to check up and see the pregnant female; that she had went into premature labor and that the baby she was carrying didn't make it during the delivery. That both mother and child had died in the process of giving birth. Making it appear as if it was an unfortunate tragedy that happened."

Beast finished informing Slayer of everything that had occurred that morning, believing Slayer would see and agree with the reason of quickly killing and disposing the newborn orphan. But seeing how Slayer didn't approve his request immediately and instead stood there quietly, lost in thought about what Beast had just told him and seeing the way Slayer actually seemed to be interested in the details of the entire situation regarding the newborn. And this had Beast not liking the possible outcome that this situation could take.
