*: Malice

Slayer didn't say anything to Beast for a few moments after hearing everything that had taken place that morning concerning the Young pregnant Kamaira and the Night Creature that were now both dead and the events that led up to the birth of the Kamaira pup. Slayer kept quiet while taking a little time to process everything that he was just told, Only making occasional glances at the bundled up blanket Beast still had in his arms.

Slayer was lost in his thoughts, he just found this whole thing odd and interesting at the same time. For it wasn't everyday that something this bizarre and unheard of happened around here. Slayer then started Noticing how he never heard a sound come from the newborn or even see any movement.

If it wasn't for his sharp hearing he would have believed the baby to be dead but he could hear a strong heartbeat coming from the bundled up blanket that was being held by Beast.

"Your Majesty?" It was Beast who broke the silence and brought Slayer out of his head and back to the situation at hand. Slayer looked up at Beast, "What?"Slayer asked flatly.

"This abomination should be disposed of and the sooner the better." Beast was over with dealing with this thing and wanted it killed and disposed of, quickly for it had already taken up too much of his time as it was. Not to mention, he was absolutely disgusted by the pup that everyone in the village had been excited about and couldn't wait to be born.

"Hand me the orphaned pup and I'll take care of it how I see fit." Slayer reached out waiting for Beast to hand over the bundled up blanket and after hesitating for a few seconds, Beast reluctantly handed over the thing that he'd been holding to Slayer.

"Your Majesty, if I may stress that the newborn should be killed and disposed of. If word of such a thing being born and especially in our lands it could cause quite an uproar in both the Kamaira villages and if that thing is allowed to live...." Beast trailed off from what he was about to say.

Slayer didn't really understand why but This last sentence from Beast rubbed him completely wrong and you could feel the tension that suddenly came between them.

"I'm well aware of the trouble it could cause and don't need to be told as if I didn't know. Not to mention everyone will except and allow whatever it is that I decide! Now, let me ask you something, have you honestly not stopped to even think that my brother Vishious isn't going to make a visit when realizing one of his Night Creatures has come up missing?" Slayer said coldly to Beast.

Beast stood frozen for he had never had that thought even come to his mind until now and cursed himself for making such an error. Vishious never even crossed his mind once and honestly Beast forgot that the Night Creatures were Ruled by Vishious.

But still Beast couldn't honestly think that Vishious would in fact ask or be interested in the newborn and instead figured that Vishious would probably agree in killing it.

For the newborn was truly disgraceful to both races. But, he also new that killing one of the Night Creatures wasn't going to be thought of and taken lightly or ignored by Vishious. It was well known that going against Vishious wasn't something that would be a easy victory, if it in fact went that far.

"Thank you for bringing the situation to my attention. Go ahead and return to your duties, and lets just keep the story of the pup dying with the mother this morning." Slayer said in a dismissive tone.

Knowing that there was nothing else that could be said or done, Beast bowed his head. "Yes, Sir." He couldn't help but take one last look at the thing that Slayer was now holding. Hoping that Slayer would in fact make the right decision when it came to that things fate. He looked then at Slayer again briefly, before turning to walk back towards the village.

When Beast had started walking away, heading back towards the Kamaira village; it was only then that Slayer's full attention then shifted and went to what he was now holding in his hands.

He moved the bunched up blanket in his arms, to hold it better and making it so he would have a free hand to uncover the newborn that was hidden within, yet to be seen.

He didn't know what to expect when he would finally see what it looked like. Wondering what parent the newborn would look like and wondering if that would be what would make him decide on what to do with the orphaned newborn he was holding.

He only pulled back the blanket just a little, just enough for him to be able to see what he held. Never guessing to see something that would make his eyes widen in utter interest and surprise.

The baby he uncovered was an all white male Kamaira but it's bottom half was that of a dog as well. Not sharing the same making as the usual black Kamairas with their black scaly legs and tail. The Pups white bat-like wings were wrapped around it's little body. So Slayer couldn't See the pup completely, but it being white was interesting enough.

A few minutes went by with Slayer starring down at the pup he was holding when slowly

The newborn started to stir in his arms and unwrapped it's wings from it's body. The pup slowly opened its eyes. The pups eyes were a beautiful dark purple, and Slayer couldn't help but be intrigued by the newborn pup. Wondering what other surprises the pup held.

Slayer was amused with the way that the newborn pup just kept his eyes on him, As if observing Slayer and trying to stare him down. He was also impressed how the pup didn't cry or shrink away from him. Already seemingly trusting Slayer or challenging him, and a smile started to form as he looked down at the brave pup.

He knew that the pup would be hungry so he turned and headed back towards his Palace; cradling Malice in his arms. The abomination that he decided would be allowed to live.
