Crisis(1)

Amid jungle.

Sam was running towards his way back but still, he had to cross more than 2 Kms to enter the military base. But despite his utmost try, the monsters were far faster than him. He could hear the beasts nearing his location at a very fast speed!

"Moo!!!"

Sam turned around to see a raging bull-rushing towards him. Its horns were so long and curved forming half a crown on its head. It was twice the size of Sam and had a muscular body with powerful hooves which left the surrounding in the dust when it was running.

Sam immediately took out a scroll of humongous paperbear and waved it behind him.

Boom~

After some seconds both of them collided forming intense shockwaves. As Sam was in the epicentre of the collision, he had also blasted away...

"Shit!! It's a level 2 horned bull!" yelled Sam as he wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth. Even though he was bleeding, Sam was still confident enough to defeat it because of the increment of his overall stats.

"Moo!!! "

The bull stamped its hooves and rushed towards Sam.

Sam quickly took out two scrolls and threw them towards the horned bull.

Swish~

The paperwolf bent on its hind limbs and plunged towards it waving its claws towards the bull's abdomen, while the paperman swiftly moved and punched it on its eyes.

The bull was gobsmacked at the sudden appearance of two more enemies and thus was late in response and that time was enough for Sam to critically injure it.

Slash!~

Blood slashed its abdomen as the bull roared with blood-red eyes and rushed towards the paperwolf and gored it with its sharp horns, throwing it to a large tree, badly mutilating it.

Bam!

The paperwolf finally lost its effect as it was almost torn apart.

"Tch! Since I can't defeat you with one, then I will use two!!" cursed Sam as he took out another paperwolf scroll.

He, along with the paperwolf simultaneously attacked the horned bull from both sides while the paperman distracted it.

Boom! Boom! ~

The bull went mad seeing three weak bugs attacking it. It raised its front limbs and viciously kicked Sam's chest when Sam blocked it with his blade.

Even though he blocked it, Sam still got hurt. Nevertheless, he controlled the paperwolf to viciously bite its abdomen and the paperman to shower punches rapidly on its spine.

"Mooooo!!!!!!" roared the deranged beast as it fell on the ground and blood seeped from its abdomen as a large chunk of flesh was torn by the paperwolf.

Giving it no time to rest, Sam fiercely slashed his blade towards its neck, beheading it!

Blood splashed over Sam's face as he sighed a heave of relief.

Sam had no time to relish the moment as he quickly stored the bull's corpse and left the scene with all his might.

Sadly for him, some beasts already caught up with him due to the tremor of the battle. He glanced around to find a bunch of Level 1 mutant rodents.

These disgusting creatures lived in the dirtiest places. They were like extra-large rats from Earth but had very sharp and poisonous teeth and thick limbs attached with sharp claws laced with poison. Its whole body was poisonous and dirty.

Its value was worthless to humans but they caused large troubles to mankind as they lived in groups. Once a horde of mutant rodents devastated a city. Moreover, due to their high reproductive ability, it was practically impossible to annihilate them all!

Seeing, a dense group of black mutant rodents rushing towards it, Sam had no choice but to leave the paperman and paperwolf behind to distract the creatures while he ran towards the left.

Sam knew that he couldn't fight those disgusting creatures. Those who had fire elements could just burn these creatures alive to solve their advance!

*Ding*

Finally, after almost 20 minutes of running, Sam got rid of those mutant rodents. He took deep breaths as he looked at his surroundings...

Seemed like...he had lost his way.

Sam could still hear the beast rampaging from all around. At this moment of crisis, not knowing the directions was akin to providing himself to a beast's mouth.

He quickly took out his magic watch only to find himself standing in flaming sparrow's territory...
