It's almost time (2)

Telekinesis might seem like a useless skill, but that's only because movies and mainstream media have always portrayed telekinesis as a 'throw a car at a person' kind of thing. But just think. What would happen… If you were to pinch the brain stem of a person? What would happen if you rubbed molecules together? Pyrokinesis acquired, cryokinesis too. What would happen… If you were to separate the atoms in uranium? All of this using telekinesis. Sure, it would probably require a LOT of control, going down onto the atomic level is insanity, it really is. But is it impossible?

Ira has been practising his telekinesis on his own body. The monitoring wards would detect any and all movement in the room, they're basically cameras and microphones. They can detect mana being used as well, but only if it's used externally. He's been manipulating the saliva/blood in his mouth to form complex shapes and make little stickmen to pass time, and he's gotten his telekinesis up to 62/100 with only that. His control is mediocre, since controlling water is not hard, and trying to manipulate the water in complex patterns/small intricate ways is almost impossible, since it's in his own mouth. He can't see it, at all. But in the long run this will actually help him, he can use telekinesis without any outside aids.

What does he mean by outside aids? Think about darth vader's force choke, he had to use his hand to do the choking motion. Why? To look badass? Maybe. But it's also possible that he cannot do it without it. Ira can. He can kill any normal human without a single twitch of his finger. Anyone magical would detect the mana intruding into their body and expel it before it could take effect, the reaction is almost instinctual. However that doesn't mean that his telekinesis becomes useless just because he cant use it directly on a person. Can a normal mage without any head armor survive a tiny pebble flying through their skull at 300mph? Probably not. And even if he comes across an enemy that he cannot defeat, he can escape with flight. And the best part of this? Any "anti-flight" spells won't affect him, since he's not using a flight spell. He's directly using telekinesis, and by the time his enemies figure that out, it's already too late.

The family that is torturing him has no idea what kind of monster they have created. They also have no idea that this 'boy' is magical, after all, if they knew, they would put a mana restraining collar on him for sure.

*Flash back*

"Yes, Sir mage Efrit, this is the new 'toy' we've acquired, as usual we ask that you check if he has any kind of magic spells, or if the boy himself is magical or has the potential to awaken. Safety is always number one priority." Said the noble father, getting a mage to check if the boy has any magical potential is a lot cheaper than buying mana restraining collars. The mana restraints, also being illegal for citizens to own, doesn't help.

Ira felt as a cold, slimy feeling invaded his body and went directly towards his naval area, where the mana core of all humans is stored. And finding nothing, this means that the boy is a cripple. No mana core means his potential to awaken naturally is nearly 0.

Why could he not find a mana core? Of course this is thanks to the system.

*Mana cores are not required for host, mana is stored in the soul for user*

"Hahahah, this one doesn't have a mana core either, you truly have a talent for finding cripples!" The mage was happy, he gets paid, and he doesn't have to do any additional work!

"Our daughter found this one, all credit goes to her! Thank you once again Sir mage, We will make sure that your brother's trial goes smoothly, just think of it as a bonus." Said the father, Keeping the mage happy is vital, so that he doesn't spread any rumours. Slavery isn't specifically illegal, you can do anything you want with your slaves, but nobles owning them is frowned upon. That doesn't mean it doesn't happen though, obviously. It just means they don't publicly display that they have slaves.

*Flashback end*

It was a surprise to find out that the natives had mana cores, him not having one was also surprising, but in the end it only entails benefits for him. Most mana cores have a limit to the max capacity, His mana however, can keep growing practically forever.
