Join You in This Little Feast

The swaying movement of the ground made Ainsley a little dizzy. He woke up after forcing himself to sleep under Stuart's watch. When he came to, he was already curled up on a different bed. The floor was even swaying as if he was not on land.

Ainsley got up from the bed. His clothes from last night were removed, his body only left in his underwear. He looked down at it and felt a little exposed. Did someone just strip him when he was sleeping? Did they touch him somewhere else?

The door opened, earning a yelp from the man inside the room. Sinclair only raised a brow as he proceeded inside in a dressing gown. He seemed to have come from the ensuite bathroom. "If you're awake, don't just sit there. Get a shower and wear clothes. You'll miss the view outside."

"Daddy, why is your hotel room swaying? It's making me pregnant." Ainsley, however, snorted. The room was too beautiful and luxurious to be Sinclair's room, and he knew what his boss's room looked like. This was definitely a hotel room… but why was the floor swaying?

"Hm, because it's on water?" The same nonchalant tone came from Sinclair as he opened his dressing gown in front of the closet. "Have you forgotten that we're going to our family island?"

At this reminder, Ainsley flew to the balcony that he saw behind him. He opened the glass doors and peered outside with wide eyes. His jaw dropped as he took in the sight of the clear blue skies that melded with the deep blue sea. It didn't escape him that they were on a megayacht that was like a small five-star hotel gliding on water.

An excited smile curled his mouth, and he suddenly went to hug Sinclair, who was trying to figure out what to wear today. "It's the sea! We're like at sea! Wait!"

He quickly unwound his arms around Sinclair and ran to the bathroom to get ready. There was no way he would miss touring this floating hotel and even eating the food onboard.

Sinclair was actually keeping his temper from showing. His little tornado swept around again, and Ainsley pretty much tackled him earlier instead. However, he didn't blame the other too much. "If he copes this way, then I should leave him be. As long as he doesn't punch me deliberately."

The megayacht could only be so big; after all, it wasn't a cruise ship. There was only one deluxe room that had all the luxuries, while the other places like the bar and dining area were on the lower floor. Most rooms were under the deck, but those were rooms that only the staff should visit. As for the hallways, they weren't the widest—not the most cramped either.

Still, Ainsley was too excited to care about the comfort of actually being in wide spaces. He knew that the megayacht dedicated its floor area to other things… and that he needed the walls to be closer together, anyway. The floor was swaying, much to his despair, and he ended up leaning against one as if he was drunk… but excited.

With a beaming smile on his somewhat sickly face, Ainsley turned to Sinclair. "Sinco, Sinco, am I free to eat whatever I like here? Are you billing me for the food?"

"Just don't be wasteful and remember that there are ten more people in this yacht that need to eat." Sinclair sighed as he watched the little tornado. Even if Ainsley was in designer wear that he packed with them, this man still couldn't look so posh. Not that Sinclair was bothered by it.

"Only ten?" A slight hum was his answer before Ainsley saw Stuart come out from one of the rooms. The little tornado seemed to have developed some kind of aversion towards the secretary, and so Ainsley looked away from the newcomer and stuck to the wall. He was like an animal that wouldn't be seen if he wouldn't move.

As if playing along with Ainsley, Stuart didn't even pay a single glance at him. He went straight to greet Sinclair, "Master, we'll reach the island in three hours. Please take your breakfast."

"Alright." Sinclair nodded before walking ahead, Stuart stepping to the other side. "Chameleon man, we only have three hours. Don't you want to eat?"

Ainsley quickly escaped to Sinclair's side, not trying to get Stuart's glare into his eyeshot. He clung to the CEO's arm and patted his chest. There was even a very questionable deep heave of relief. "Was that guy really that scary from the very beginning? We had been working together, right?"

He only said so as if secretly answering that curious gaze Sinclair had given him. It felt wrong to discuss the real reason for Stuart's ire with his best friend.

He had no idea how many of Sinclair's family members feel upset about what he made his Sinco do.

Sinclair didn't answer back, as well.

When they got to the dining hall, Ainsley was still sticking to Sinclair like he was the wall to alleviate the swaying. Like a child grateful for the extra support in walking, Ainsley didn't even care if he looked like a side woman instead. However, he suddenly froze in his tracks when he saw two more people in the dining hall.

Not only that anime girl named Michelle was there, but the beautiful lady that helped him that night sat on one of the chairs. Before them were plates of rare steak that didn't seem to be touched yet. The lady then smiled at the two male newcomers. "Hm, you've arrived. Come, let us join you in this little feast. What name are you using again?"

"Sinclair King." Sinclair frowned as he didn't think these two would be here as well. However, he didn't find the courage to shoo them away. He only glared at Michelle before walking to the head of the table. "You're not supposed to be awake right now."

"Hm? I have reasons to not sleep deep into the morning sun. After all, the Cove is within our reach. How could I not wake up and endure the sun instead?" She only chuckled before reaching out and combing Sinclair's hair with her hand. "You haven't gone there for a while. I must be awake to welcome you back at least."

Slowly sitting down at the other side of Sinclair, Ainsley took a good look at the woman. He just realized that she seemed to resemble Sinclair a lot, but she didn't look that old compared to him. The woman then caught his gaze, and she smiled at him… even if her words were for Sinclair. "Sinclair, introduce me to your friend."

It's just that… Sinclair only hummed. "I'd rather not."
