He only lagged behind for a few minutes, but when he arrived at the restroom. Ainsley was already inside the cubicle. He even called out when the door opened: "Gavyn, I left the one for you on the sink counter. They're all free size, I think."
"Your friend is very generous. I didn't think I would even receive one." Gavyn checked the paper bag and indeed found one. He then entered the other cubicle to change. "Is he normally like this?"
"Of course, he is! Hehe, everyone else really thinks that Sinclair King is cold and distant, but he's just like a normal person! He might not be very trusting, but he's not the type to include people!" Ainsley laughed before walking out and neatly folding his clothes by the sink counter.
Gavyn walked out as well, and his eyes stuck to the back view of the man. Ainsley didn't seem to be shapely at all, but he's not really bad to look at. Even without a strict regime, as long as he cared to get fit, his body would be quite desirable. At that thought, he just walked to the sink counter and organized his clothes as well.
When he got so close, Ainsley couldn't help but take a look at him. With a pout, he said, "Doctor, why do you have a model's body?"
"…it's easy to look like this. You just need daily exercise." Gavyn chuckled. Well… "I doubt the villagers would listen to me about health and exercise if I don't look fit."
"You have a point." Ainsley then recalled his pout and beckoned him to hurry so they could swim already. He couldn't wait to get a strange vacation almost one after another. He didn't get to do anything in the cove, so he wanted to take advantage of the pool.
When they walked outside the restroom, they started to hear music. Strobe lights were also dancing around like there was a party in the pool area. However, it was just Sinclair and Stuart setting things up. The secretary had taken over the bar and was making drinks for them.
It was just a pool party for Ainsley. After all, it would be a shame not to make full use of the place… as if Sinclair knew that Ainsley would ask for it.
…
The phone alarms blared in the presidential suite's bedroom. Ainsley's eyes opened bit by bit until he recognized that the ceiling wasn't his. He then quickly remembered that Sinclair had booked a room in the hotel and had hosted a three-person party in the pool area. He even drank until he couldn't see last night. Still, his body would wake up as soon as the alarm sounded.
"Can't I get drunk anymore?" Ainsley murmured before turning to the side to latch on whatever body part of Sinclair that he could reach. However, even at his full reach, Sinclair was too far from him. His brows furrowed and realized that the bed was huge. "This isn't king-size…
"Sinco, you're too far!" He moved his hands as if it would make Sinclair roll closer. At his voice, Sinclair only turned to his side and glared at the man who was already so loud in the morning. Since when did Ainsley able to wake up early during a hard night of drinking?
Ainsley had no choice but to move on his own. However, after one roll, he realized that he shouldn't probably be getting close to anyone. He just flashed an awkward smile at the other. "What kind of bed is this? So wide…"
"Alaskan King." Sinclair sighed as he figured he couldn't sleep in as well. It was already six in the morning, and his phone's alarm was competing with that of Ainsley. He only sat up and rotated a shoulder. It was only a Tuesday; he couldn't be bailing out already.
"Don't buy this kind of bed…" Ainsley only hoarded the blanket as if he was planning to stay longer.
However, Sinclair lied back down and rolled closer to the other person. The friend only watched the CEO refuse to wake up as he buried his face into the pillow.
It's just that… knock, knock.
"Mr. King, Mr. Leneghan, it's six in the morning. You still have to go to work today." Stuart, the strict secretary, had come to fetch them as if he knew that they probably wouldn't rise so early from the kind of service the hotel was giving them.
"Gosh, it's not yet the weekend." Ainsley didn't move nonetheless. He only watched Sinclair sit up and sigh before getting out of bed. "I'll be here for a moment."
"Why?" Sinclair paused and turned to look. He even hurried to walk around the bed and drag the other out. "You're coming with me!"
"Wait, wait, I'm a delicate stage of waking up!"
…
A yawn came from Ainsley as they walked inside the elevator that came. He, Sinclair, and Stuart rode it down to the basement parking. Sinclair would need to take Ainsley with him to the tower, so they wouldn't run late for work. It didn't matter what kind of rumors would follow.
However, on one floor, the elevator opened. It was just barely half-past six, but they already saw someone else get on the elevator. She was even surprised when she saw three men in business suits in the car. However, as if trying to leave the hotel as fast as she could, she still got on despite the glare given to her by Sinclair.
Her hand reached out to press the first-floor button, but Ainsley noticed the bruise on her knuckles as if she had gotten into a fight. That was the only time when he took a good look at the woman who had gotten in the elevator with them.
She was wearing sunglasses indoors, and her brown coat was long enough to conceal everything on her body. Her gray stockings had holes and runs at some places, but it didn't seem like she was just too poor to buy a new one. It really looked like she had gotten in trouble.
It was also notable that she was giving off a strange scent that was teasing Ainsley's nose. The smell was making him follow her around like a dog.
