Chapter 59: Glassglow Woodland

The next day, Haru and Ali found the last and fifth feature of the Glassglow Woodland across the botanical garden that glows during the night. There was a gigantic flower, much bigger than any other magical flower and plants in the world.

Its petals stick together, enclosing a circular space, which opens up when touched with a hand.

They found out its ability to recharge one's energy and health, boosting your motivation and drive for anything. It's that kind of feature.

The jewel was also found at its center, so they were able to enjoy it at the fullest.

And so, they were able to collect the five jewels successfully, which they immediately put into the portal stone.

All that's left in there was to wait for seven days until they could go into the next world. On the first day, Mr. Wang and Haru met at the botanical garden, talking about the devil's journal entries.

"There were a lot of sentimental accounts there," Haru explained. "It didn't give much specific details and it seems like the devil was just venting out. There's nothing to see there."

"So it's not worth mentioning, basically?" Mr. Wang confirmed.

Haru nodded. "I know you're still suspicious of me, but I really am not related to the devil and I have no idea how we got here. I'm just as clueless as all of you."

"Then why do you keep burning the journal entries and keeping the contents for yourself?"

"I showed it to you during our stay in the Castellia Fort."

"But you never showed the ones in the Tale Park World and here in the Glassglow Woodland. It seems like you keep on covering up for that devil."

Haru looked away, not sure what to say in his defense.

Mr. Wang sighed and said, "Fine, I won't probe too much unless necessary, but I'm still going to keep an eye on you."

"Mr. Wang, do you… still want to stay here?"

The old man was taken aback. "Why are you suddenly asking that?"

"You also seem to look forward to the progression towards the next world as if it's beyond curiosity. You said you're content here and that you wanted to stay in this place."

Mr. Wang couldn't hide his reluctance. "That's right. I… changed my mind. I want to return."

"The world is ending. Our original world where you wish to return, that is."

"Doesn't matter."

Their conversation ended there with a trail of silence and doubt.
