Chapter 60: Glassglow Woodland

On the third day, Haru visited Alicia again in the Tale Park World. Just as he expected, he couldn't access any of its features anymore and the surroundings looked dull in his eyes.

He's guessing that it's not the same for Alicia.

They entered her circus tent and sat on the bedside.

"I saw what happened to Mr. Wang," She began with a concerned voice. "He went through a lot. He told me that it wasn't as tragic as my story, but I still think he felt just as much pain."

Haru looked worried, hesitant to tell Alicia anything.

"You're still not on good terms with the old man?" She asked. "Camille told me. I noticed it as well, but I just didn't expect it."

"He's suspecting me a lot. And he said that he wants to return to the original world."

Alicia smiled, "I'm also thinking of returning home."

Haru's eyes widened with surprise. "Alicia! The world is ending, you realize that, right?"

"Whether the world is ending or not, I don't mind."

"But why?"

Alicia was hesitant to say anything yet, so he just told him that she doesn't want to talk about it because she, herself, is still processing what she wants to do.

Somehow, she's starting to sort out her feelings after tiring herself in the Tale Park World with the memories of her son Eugene and the peacefulness she's experiencing in a whole world of enjoyment and amusement alone.

Haru told her as well all that transpired at the Glowglass Woodland.

His healed wounds and arm injury thanks to the magical cave, the sight of the huge forest housing exotic and huge plants and animals, the hot springs, the glowing botanical garden, and the flower house.

Alicia thanked Haru for his diligence in telling her everything.

Soon, he returned with Ali and they got to enjoy the features of the Glowglass Woodland for the next few days until the portal opened.

Meanwhile, in the flower fields across the plaza, a woman overlooked the daisies. It's Chu Hua. She admired the fragility and softness of the daisies' petals.

As she stares in daze with the sight of the flowerbed, she remembers the times she kept staying in that place while waiting for the man she loves.

And now that it's all in history, she couldn't help but feel nostalgic looking at the daisies. She thought that she never made a mistake with Wang Chen. He was really a great and decent man.

She couldn't deny that she hurt his heart and that she'll forever regret the face he made when he found out about her new family.

Soon, she was being called over by her current husband.

She went with him and they finally went home.

Chu Hua ate a meal with him quietly, frequently flashing off a pretty smile whenever he'd open his mouth to tell something about his day.

And then, she'd go to the little room where her baby girl once peacefully slept. Her daughter is now in grade school as a few years have passed by already. She could still remember herself whispering to the baby girl she once was, "You're my only joy and salvation. You're so… beautiful."

Chu Hua couldn't help but let out her tears every time she'd do that. She's happy that her daughter grew up strong now.

A few minutes after her reminiscing, her husband went into the tiny room with her as well. He locked the room and pulled Chu Hua towards him.

By this time, the woman had already accepted everything and learned to move on happily.

But sometimes, she couldn't help but wonder what would've happened if she was a bit more careful then with hanging out with her friends… maybe if she stayed inside her house, none of this would happen.

She wouldn't have to be forced to bear his child and stay with him and marry him.

But they were all just lingering thoughts and regrets, which she had to let go forever.
