Chapter 80: What Bitter Tastes Like

The fourth feature of the Grand Blisscade was three-dimensional chess. It looked interesting and ethereal. The pieces were bluish and transparent that it feels like they're spirits being controlled in the chess board.

He saw Alicia and Camille playing. As soon as he got near, Camille got startled, but immediately went forward.

"I-I'm not afraid of you! Got it?!" Camille yelled at him. "I… I don't care about what you did in the past or who you murdered! I'm going to believe more in the times we were together here! In the Devil's world."

Haru went towards her. With silence, she held her breath and promised to not get intimidated with him.

"I'm sorry," Haru suddenly said. "I got too emotional back then."

Camille was clearly surprised, but her shoulders and expression were gradually relaxing.

"I wasn't thinking right when I told you to get away from me, but I do remember that you were kind to me. And you also helped me during our time here."

"Y-Yes, that's right."

"This is my true personality and I can't help it if you're repulsed with the fact that I killed someone. But I'm not going to treat you badly from now on."

Camille let out a soft smile. "Alright, then. Thank you. Come to me again if you need help."

Haru glanced at Alicia, "Can you let us play this 3D chess?"

Alicia smiled, waving, "Yeah, sure! Go on!"

Haru looked back at Camille as if asking for her permission.

Camille nodded, "Whoever wins gets to have an edible chess piece! Eating it tastes however you want it to taste like and it will be your most favourite taste. That's what this feature offers!"

"Is that so? That's interesting then."

Haru went to this position opposite to where Camille was standing. The chess pieces were arranged accordingly and the game began.

At this point, Haru regains his memories and is almost finished.

Just a bit more and he'll remember everything.

In his mind, even if he doesn't witness the rest of his memories through and through, he already has a rough idea on what will happen next.

It's quite predictable that he could almost taste it in his mouth.
