Chapter 96: Truth and Lie in a Form

That form was more acceptable.

However… "It's full of lies," Haru thought and told blatantly towards the devil. "That's clearly a mask. It's actually more acceptable, but it's more repulsive in its essence because it's clearly for deceit. Go back to Ali's form."

The devil did so, being quite uncomfortable as seen to be in his original form and the other form as well. They were all dark and ugly, after all.

"Your forms are definitely not beautiful," Haru pointed out. "That's why I'm here. When Ali's body crumbled, take over me and become beautiful. I'm your true vessel."

Ali smiled and nodded to him, "Thank you, Haru. For being my vessel and for staying here with me."

Haru stared at him for a while, as if wanting to say something. Ali asked what it is, but Haru was still a bit reluctant.

"Your name… You never said your name yet. Not to the original Ali and not even to me."

Ali looked down, feeling hesitant. "Sammael."

Haru smiled and thanked him for telling his name and showing his forms truthfully.

And soon, they began looking at the worlds more with the original intention of the devil. Haru suggested that they would just get limited people from the original world and put them in one of the five worlds.

"It'd be a problem if they decided to stay in one world and leave the others. You won't be able to handle the compression," Haru explained. "Not to mention, you won't be able to maximize the worlds you've created. We can't give them too much freedom like you gave for the five of us. It'd be too much, especially if there's too many people."

"Y-You're right," Ali said, feeling a bit disappointed. "I wanted them to enjoy every single one of my creation, though. It's such a shame."

"Hah, you just probably wanna flex your abilities," Haru said in disbelief. "Stop trying to act like the original Ali who's selfless and too considerate."

Ali glanced at him with a mixed expression of shyness and surprise. "W-Well, that's not what I…"

They explored and inspected the worlds once again.

As they stepped into the Tale Park World, they passed by the central tent and Haru stopped in front of it.

"This central tent you did," Haru said. "It was a good invention. Alicia made use of it more than anyone of us."

"Yeah, she even stayed for it."

"I want to ask you something, Ali. What did you see in the central tent that one time? Your tears fell uncontrollably as if it's something you would feel no matter how hard you suppress it."

Ali remembered it very well, the time he went inside the central tent and saw an image of your true desire. The devil who had reflected its consciousness, saw Ali, who he desired to understand more than anyone. However, at that time, the devil felt all the things that the original Ali went through.

All the pain, hunger, suffering, loneliness, misery—they all rushed inside his head that instant and it weighed to him back then when the original Ali said that he didn't really liked suffering or feeling hungry.

He really meant it when he said how life was all about being uncomfortable and comforted.

However, it's the lack of being comforted that pushed him at the brink of surrender and eventually, death.
