Chapter 98: The World Ending

When Camille returned, it wasn't too difficult to spot some men who were looking for her, the missing daughter of the Rousseau family.

The cops were able to get in touch with the team that found her and she pretended to have lost her memories while she was being brought to the station.

She was able to quickly reunite with her family when the police had contacted the parents and she returned without seemingly to recognize anybody, though it was all an act.

Of course, Camille was immediately brought to the hospital.

They asked for the best doctor there was and have them look at her.

When everything seemed to have been settled, they returned to their mansion and Camille went back to her room.

Thankfully for her, from what she have heard, the maid that she feared has already left the mansion after her voluntary resignation.

When the chance showed itself, Camille told Arthur that she was just putting up an act and told him everything that happened.

Camille wasn't expecting her brother to believe everything she said, but he actually believed.

She thought that it couldn't have been naivety, so it must be because he knows something.

"Let's go there again, sister," Arthur even said. "Let's leave the house together and live in the world you went to forever!"

Camille smiled and shook her head, "I have an even better plan, Arthur. We're going to leave this house when I become an adult. Until then, we're going to do whatever we want and pursue the dreams we love."

Arthur was clearly baffled, so Camille had to tell him about the world ending.

One evening, Camille met with her mother in the kitchen.

Her mother seemed to have trouble sleeping, so Camille asked what's going on.

The mother, who felt at ease with her daughter who had just lost her memories, told her everything. All her struggles inside their marriage and how frustrated she is in the whole situation.

"If the world was ending, what would you do, then?" Camille asked.

"If the world was ending?"

"If I were you, I'd divorce my husband. Because wouldn't that make me happy?"

The mother was silent and pensive when Camille left her with her warm milk.

That night, Camille went to the flowers at their backyard and danced. And it was then that the world was nearly and truly ending.

When Mr. Wang returned, he went to the flower fields.

And then, he got in touch with Chu Hua. He met her and her child.

The old man went to the clinic one last time to confirm his body's condition. Afterwards, he experienced life and did everything he wanted to give a try. He ate delicious foods, played with the kids at the park, and even went to a theater.

At night, he dreamt of loving and marrying a completely different girl. It wasn't Chu Hua.

It was a girl he had never met before.

That was probably the last dream that Mr. Wang had as well. And it was then that the world was nearly and truly ending.
