God Incarnate

Dozzy childishly sticks his tongue out at me. "You're not his in law. In-laws get special treatments more than others." He opens the laptop in front of him. "I guess it's time to play some games."

"That's just not fair!"

"Life's not fair. It's either you take that, or you leave it. Meka will be notified of your decision." A very masculine voice answers.

I guess we were lost in our conversation we didn't hear the door opening, and nor did we hear the sounds of his footsteps.

His voice elicited a shiver from me (the type you get when you think someone is stalking you.)

Dozzy swallowed at the sight of the man. His Adam apple bobbling up and down.

"Mr Mar." He stands from his chair.

Seeing how different Dozzy is behaving made me know the man must be talking about Bin's boyfriend as if they're friends.

As slowly as I can, I turn towards the door. My eyes took the male specimen in front of me.

The male looked like a god that came to earth

With his chiselled jaw (one that can cut through the the the ice) and green eyes that swirled almost golden colour.

Looking at his eyes reminded me of Meka's. His eyes are the exact strange colours that Meka's have.

His long straight nose looked perfect.

Before now, I wouldn't have thought a nose beautiful or perfect, but his nose fit perfectly in the terms.

His long blonde hair is tied in a ponytail.

The look would have looked funny on a mere man, but the same can't be said for the male in front of me.

His hair fits his face perfectly well. It gives him a bad boy vibe.

I won't be surprised to see a tattoo or two, pecking from his shirt.

Male, like he is, are dangerous. They're the types mothers warn their daughters against.

His shirt looks too tight on his muscular body (you know how muscular a person is just by looking at them. His abs are too astonishing to be hidden) it should be considered illegal for business.

His trousers were cut to perfection; I won't doubt it if they're tailored, as they seem the material is clinging to him; afraid to let go.

Overall, I don't think there's anything imperfect in him. Nothing at all. He looks so damn handsome and clings worthy.

So perfect to climb.....

"Are you up to the task, or do I need to inform Meka of your inability?" He asks in that cold indifferent shiver worthy cold voice of his.

His voice doesn't in any way suit him at all.

"Am…" I swallow. My palms get sweaty as I look up at Dozzy who looks like he wants to be anywhere but here right now.

"Are you, or are you not. Stop wasting my time." He deeply Frowns as he checked his wristwatch. "I have things to take care of that don't include wasting my time with spoiled children."

The way he said the word children sounds similar to when an adult is lamenting about the youngsters.

"He's taking the job." Dozzy answers for my sake. He might look a bit intimidated, but he's not as afraid of the male in front of me.

"I didn't ask you, Dozzy. I want to hear from him." He looks pointedly at me. "Are you up for the task of not?"

"I'll take it." I manage to say those words without stuttering.

This is one thing I've been asked by Bin. I won't have someone intimidate me from doing my job as a caring friend.

"That wasn't at all difficult, was it." He frowns at me before turning to Dozzy. "Make sure you add more work to his own. I won't want to see lazy people here in the office."

His words made my eyes bog. How can he talk of adding more work to my already cramped ones?

Is this some type of joke?

"But…" I try to voice my concern about his words.

I can't have him giving me more work than the ones allocated to me.

"Are you objecting? Changing your mind already?" He raises a brow. "I think calling Meka is on…"

"I'll do it." I begrudgingly agreed to work overtime.

"That's settled then. Dozzy doesn't forget your job." With those words said, he walks out of the door.

His footsteps are so light, you wouldn't have known he walked if you were not closely watching him.

"Phew!" Dozzy slumped on his chair. "That was intense." He palms his face.

His words made me roll my eyes.

"Says the one who wasn't at the receiving end of his anger." I still shiver at the recollection of his cold eyes and voice.

He looked so damn dead. His eyes have no warmth at all in them.

"I was still here nonetheless." He shrugs.

"I guess that's true."

Mar freezes anywhere he is with his cold eyes. You don't need to be at the receiving end of his anger to feel the coldness from him. All you have to do is stay in the same room as he is.

Standing from the chair I am sitting on, I took up the heavy file. A frown on my face as I did so.

"How long am I expected to finish this? When are you expecting them?"

I guess I'll be given like a year to complete this, which made me wonder what it is Meka and Bin were up to for them to have this big unfinished work.

"Next month." He smiles tightly. "Mr Mar gave the time."

"I know he's the one. That win of a devil!"

I've not seen anyone as heartless and cold as he is.

"If I were you, I wouldn't curse him behind his back. After all, walls have ears."
