15. Techniques.

"D-Rank Draining touch, increased life force drain that also heals wounds. D-Rank Nightmare, trap the opponent in a nightmarish illusion, D-Rank Soul Rattle, Shake the soul of your enemy making them feel sick, D-Rank Strangle, Choke your enemies with shadows. Seems we have quite a selection of D-Rank skills for you." I place the D-Ranks off to the side. First time I've seen an illusion type attacks, maybe it works like Naruto's genjutsu.

Picking up the C-Rank manuals my eyes shine when I spot something unexpected. "They gave us a B-Rank skill?" I pick that up first and look it over. "B-Rank Mega Drain, long distance life force draining technique heal 50% of the damage done to the opponent." I thought mega drain was a grass type move but still life draining and healing moves are one of my favorites. Looking at it there were 10 hand signs for the move, the most I had seen so far.

"Well that is a long ways away." I set it to the side still pleasantly surprised, the assistant must have just grabbed everything to get rid of us quickly. Must really be afraid of ghosts.

Picking the C-Rank manuals I get to reading. "C-Rank Drain, long distance life draining technique, heals 25% of whatever damage is done to the enemy. The previous two draining attacks need you to be touching the enemy and it only seems to drain a bit of life force." It doesn't say how much leech life or drain touch takes away but it shouldn't be a lot. "C-Rank Hellish Illusion, Traps the enemy in a illusion filled with thier worst fears, that sounds nasty, C-Rank Soul Shake, Shake the soul of an enemy causing sickness and shock, C-Rank Immobilize, use shadowy tendrils to wrap the enemies body tightly and prevent movements crushing them in the process. Once more quite a few good moves." I set the manuals on the pile before grabbing leech life and passing it to Stella. "Try to learn this one first it seems to be the base for all the life draining moves."

"Okay Darling." She say reading the instructions, like most of the other E-Ranks, there is only 3 hand signs.

"If we need to we can get a cage and probably capture a monster to practice on, I'll look up the move and see if I can find any information or training advice on it." I suggest before grabbing my communicator and looking up training videos on leech life, they don't show you how to use the technique, just how it looks and is supposed to work. I also notice that grass types also have a version of the drain moves, however they don't take life force just moisture and energy. It is named Absorb instead of Drain, So Absorb, Mega Absorb and then I saw Giga Absorb. So Giga Drain is an A-Rank technique.

The healing isn't the only thing the moves increase, it's also the damage which is the percentage.

Leech Life is 5% damage and total heal, Drain touch is 10% damage and heal, Drain is 25%, Mega Drain 50%, and Giga Drain is 75%. I don't know if there is 100% but each move improves how much energy the body keeps inside as the move doesn't mean it does that amount of damage just how much of the energy can be absorbed and stays in the body healing it.

Still good moves to have, if I loved anything more than self-healing attacks in video games I have no idea what it was.

Well let's give my new ghost body a feel.

Swapping over the my ghost form I immediately get a cold clammy feeling in my body and I slip through the chair I was sitting in much to Stella who was sitting on my laps confusion and shock and my own.

"How odd!" I seem to be kind of floating but stuck as when I try to push myself up from the ground my fingers just sink into the floor.

Takes me a couple of tries but I end up having to imagine myself solid before I can touch things.

My movements are kind of wonky as it's not like walking and have to more like will my body to float where I want it. It doesn't help with Stella poking me or pushing me lightly while giggling when I stumble.

I also don't have to breathe and i can't feel my heart beating anymore so that's going to take some getting used to. The warm fire energy I usually feel in my body is also gone replaced with a cold energy. Luckily I can still feel everything too, being deprived of my sense of touch would be weird.

Amber curiously touches my chest and her hand slides right through my body which feels incredibly weird but warm at the same time.

My eyes narrow. "You guys having fun poking and prodding me while I struggle?"

"Yep!~" Stella says pushing me off balance again with a giggle.

"I'm just looking Master." Amber says definitely touching more than looking.

*Smack* My ghostly hand whips out slapping both on the ass. I get a sultry moan from Stella and a surprised "Eep!" from Amber whose cheeks turn red.

"Behave I'm trying to figure this out and you two aren't helping." I tell the two who are looking at me with lustful eyes now. Getting an idea i smirk at the two before vanishing off to the graveyard area.

It does surprisingly feel nice here and I want to try one of those soul fruits. Struggling a bit and flailing my arms for balance I float towards the fruit tree and it takes me a couple of attempts to pick the fruit as my hand kept phasing through it. "I wonder if it's just instinctual for Stella." I bite into the white fruit, it tastes kind of sweet though it doesn't really have much of a flavor but it does make my body feel warm when I eat it.
