I turn around to see my angel face standing so close to my shoulder but her head held high, looking straight at me. My height really shows with her being that small. Once again, adorable.
And I know using the word 'adorable' may seem silly coming from a mature businessman like myself. But in this case I find it to be the perfect word at this moment.
Since my height is around six foot zero and she's somewhere near five foot two, her head only reaches around my shoulder length which I find to be the funniest thing ever.
Explaining how I feel right now is pointless. There's no amount of words, or any words really that could describe this feeling.
Am I. Happy? Could I be happy because of her?
No, Alex. You're doing it again. You can't be happy.
Happiness is non-extinct. Just look around you, no one is happy. Happiness doesn't exist and if you really think that of all people you could be happy then you're dead wrong.
My thoughts cleared and for a second I displayed fear, hurt, anger in my eyes for her to see. Those eyes that shine bright in the darkness, help someone who's sinking guide you out of that horrible predicament. As she stares into my eyes with such focus, the cards are reversed and somehow I'm loving how those green eyes peer into mine and how they sparkle in the lighted sun.
" I know what you're doing and it's not going to work. Remember that." She speaks, before spinning around, ready to walk away.
This time, it's my turn to have the last word. I reached for her right arm, tugging it fastly causing her to spin around in my direction as her body pressed against mine.
How fortunate of me. I took a whiff of her hair as it was laying on my shoulder and to my surprise, it smelled like pine and many wild flowers. She let out a loud gasp as I brushed some of her hair behind her ear. My lips, just inches away from the lobe area. " Look angel face, I'm a man who gets what he wants, and if I can't have what I want then I'm sure your friend is more then willing to give it to me. Understood?"
" You sick bastard." Rolls off the tip of her tongue.
Feisty. I nip at her ear lobe, sucking on it gently then back to biting. I repeat the same actions a few more times before she lets a little whimper and begins to sink into my arms, weighing most of her weight on my body. " Or, you could give me what I want right now." I say, treading my hand up her knee towards her inner thighs while still biting on the lobe of her ear, making kisses down to her neck. " Ok, I'm back with my phone, sorry it took so long!"
Then, Maya came along and ruined it for me.
I watch my angel face as she quickly exhales, gaining her strength back and pushes me from her. Her face looked bright red in the sun.
Maya appears from the back staring at her phone and moving her mouth to something I can't make out. Eventually, she looks up to see us both outside in the sun staring back at her. " What the hell are you guys doing outside!" She walks out the store holding her phone in one hand while swaying her slim hips. She's a lot taller than Angel face, I'd say around five nine maybe.
" Here's my number before you go." She holds out her phone showing her phone number on her screen. six five four, three zero two, one one one nine. And she couldn't remember those simple numbers herself.
I ignore my thoughts and grab her phone from her hand, putting her number into my phone and adding her name as Freya's best friend. " Call me whenever you have any free time."
" Will do." I say, smiling back at Maya, taking one last glance at Freya, whose face is steaming red, staring right back at me with her jaw tight as a brick. I give her a kind smirk from my lips and spin around to where Arthur caught the whole show. I opened the car door and fell back into my seat, slamming the door next to me. " Back to the office, Arthur."
" Yes, Mr. Ziles."
The car ride was long I might add but it gave me time to think of my next strategy. Sure, I could go on a date with Maya but I'm not interested in her. But seeing how angelface was angry the minute I paid attention to her friend made me think. Jealousy is one son of a -
" Sir, if you don't mind me asking. You never got your coffee. And you seemed so focused on those girls outside."
" Spit it out Arthur," " What I'm trying to say is do you have some sort of attraction towards one of those women?"
" Arthur my personal life is none of your concern, just keep your eyes on the road, thank you."
" Ah yes, Sir."
Maybe Arthur can help you. Lead you in a direction you know is well and not ending in a catastrophe. Why not give it a try.
Sighing, I decided to confide in Arthur. " Her name's Freya. She just started working here along with her best friend, Maya." Silence ran through the car until, " And do you like this Freya or is it Maya?"
" I can't stop thinking about her. I just met her this morning and I've already planted my roots on her. Why?" " Seems like you really like this person. She must be one hell of a woman to catch your attention."
" Yea. She is." Making those the last words I said before dozing off to sleep.
* * *
" Mr. Ziles, were here." " Mr. Ziles? Mr. Ziles!"
" I'm up, Arthur. No need for yelling."
" It's been half an hour, Sir. I've been trying to wake you but you seemed really into it."
Inhale.
Exhale.
Inhale.
Exhale.
My number one rule after waking up from my sleep. " Thank you for trying at least, Arthur."
Now that my mind has had some rest, time for phase two.
