Hot Coffee

"Umm. This is a really nice car." said Mari-I mean my mom, and I smiled warmly at her as I nodded.


"Yeah it really is. I'm surprised that he even trusted m with his car."


"He?" she asked, and I only just realized that she didn't know who Emilio was.


"Really? He's a nice boss to let you borrow his car." she said, and I smiled nodding.


"He's the best. I'm really lucky yo have him."


"Oh you can just take a turn here and we'll be right there." she said pointing to the right where I should take the turn and I did as I was told, and we did indeed arrive at her apartment complex.


It wasn't so different from where I was coming from so I understood the situation all too well and assured her that I didn't feel uncomfortable at all.


"Trust me Marissa. I've seen enough roaches an cockroaches at my old apartment not to actually still be afraid of them. It's fine. Lets just get all your stuff and we can go and get you settled at my place."
