Piercing gaze

Being around a lot of people who are totally different from you, will make you nervous and anxious.

It's the same for Nikki.

Throughout the class, she couldn't concentrate. Not only was their culture different but their formality was also different. She was still not accustomed to their formality, everyone was unfamiliar to her.

Her seatmate was a boy and he was busy with his phone during the whole class, they didn't talk to each other. She was even more nervous because of her existence next to him, it would probably have been better if it was a girl.

The others were leaving as soon as the professor left. When there were less people in the classroom, Nikki felt relieved.

'It's harder than I thought, I'm trying to get used to it. But why do i get so nervous over such things?....!!' she sighed and thought to herself.

"I think their class is over." Serra mumbled. She was waiting for Nikki outside. Serra is in a different class, her class has just ended. But she skipped her class and hung out with friends.

Nikki came out of her classroom, she rushed forward as soon as she noticed Serra.

"Serra, were you waiting for me?" Nikki asked as soon as she reached near Serra.

Serra nodded her head and said, "Mhm!"

Nikki seemed a little down, her eyes were weary. It was obvious and caught Serra's eye.

"Are you feeling alright?" Serra asked.

--- ---

Nikki looked up and smiled at Serra. She had an exquisite smile, but her eyes seemed exhausted.

"Yeah..Why did you ask?" Nikki replied calmly.

"I don't know you seemed down, did something happen?" Serra asked again, she sounded worried.

"Nah, nothing happened!" Nikki replied frankly.

--- ---

Serra was clearly dissatisfied with her response, but she couldn't force Nikki to tell the truth. She sighed and said, "Alright, let's go now."

They started walking, Nikki was following Serra from behind.

Nikki stopped abruptly, she felt a prolonged gaze, digging a hole in her. She looked around, she made eye contact with a person, who was standing far away.

It was a piercing gaze, anyone who looks at it will be nervous.
