Survival
He had no clue about the things appearing in his mind each time he closed his eyes. "What is this crap! What the hell is happening to me!"
"This must be related to that goddamn monster! Who do I tell this to! Everyone will think that I'm a freak!"
Tons of thoughts flew over his head as he laid there holding his head with his hands. It was a headache for him. Each time he closed his eyes, a list of things that looked like a game status came up.
Then he closed and opened his eyes three times. Suddenly, a new group of words were displayed.

"What the fuck! Am I stuck inside a game!" yelled Danny. Suddenly he remembered that when he defeated the monster, a group of words just like this appeared inside his mind.
"It was the beast!" he confirmed as he remembered the first thing that came to his mind, after defeating the beast. It was those words. "What do I do now! Does Linda have this too? And- how do I use this?"
The nature of the system was flowing through his veins. "How?" he thought again. "I need to close my eyes,"
Danny closed his eyes. He could see the same group of words displayed in his mind. He thought of opening one of the titles. He thought of opening the player category.

[ Mana : 100/ 100 ]
"Woah!" he thought to himself. "But is this real! How can I figure it out! Uhh.. But the monster was pretty real to me."
"How? How to figu- " he got an idea. What if he can use the weapon he had unlocked after defeating that beast. But he couldn't find where to unlock the weapon. How? How can he unlock it?
"The inventory!"
The boy's past on playing RPG games came back to him. "Open inventory," said Danny. The list currently displayed got removed and a new set of things appeared.

He thought about using the sword. Suddenly, he felt something heavy in his right grip. He opened his eyes.
"Oh shit!!! Its a fucking sword!"
There was a long steel sword in his hand. He was gripping into an actual sword. He couldn't believe his eyes. He had never even touched a real sword before.
The sword was long and it looked heavy. Even if it's true, he couldn't possibly even lift such a thing. But there he was, lifting the large sword. He could feel the power running through his veins.
"Danny! If you're not getting dinner! Die hungry!" came a loud scream from downstairs. It was his aunt. The door of his room was wide open. His nephew's room was right next to it.
"Oh Fuck!" yelled out Danny and rushed to the door. He closed it and locked it before anyone else could see him with the sword.
He stood on his mattress, which was a huge mess. The fan was working 14/24 hours a day. Some dirty clothes were lying around the room, his laptop sat on his desk and comics were all over the place.
He tried out some moves with the sword. He tried a forward slash and a downward slash. He almost slashed the bed. "Hmmm... Pretty nice. What else can I do?"
"If this thing is true.. What can I do with it? Do I need to kill those beasts?"
He had no clue what to do. But he had no clue who to ask either. So he just settled in finding himself. He closed his eyes again.
He could see the same categories again. He thought to open the quests now.

"Woah!" Danny was surprised yet again. Then he saw that half of one of those daily quests were filled. "Oh shit! So the thing I killed was a ghoul!"
He was understanding things slowly. But yet he couldn't understand the goal of this. "There must be others like me roaming in the city, even in school maybe! There were kids who were skipping school and running from their houses. Most people lived alone in this city. There must be others! I need to find them!"
He opened his eyes again. To his surprise, there were three other things displayed on three edges of his eyesight.

"Well! I may be able to keep track of my life's length." he said, giving off a witty smile. He was about to go off to get a wash.
As he tried to open the door, he absolutely forgot that he was carrying the sword in his left hand. "OOPS! Almost forgot! Now.. how to make this thing disappear?"
Suddenly the sword disappeared. The bare thought was enough to make it disappear. "Huh! Too easy!"
Getting his towel he went off to take a shower. As the water ran down his body, he saw something change in the energy bar.

The energy has increased. He could feel the energy increasing. "So getting refreshed makes your energy increase, eh?"
He was going good with figuring out the system. After taking the bath, he went to his room and got dressed in his pyjamas. Then he left to take dinner.
His aunt had left his food, thankfully it was still a little warm. He gobbled the home cooked pancakes. As he ate the food his energy increased yet again. It was classic!
"Just as I thought!" Danny said to himself as he gobbled the food down. The fundamentals were already figured out by Danny. Now, the only things he needed was the goal and the way of the game.
After taking his food, the only thing left for him was to sleep and rest. It was a tiring day for him. Danny went upstairs to his room. His window was wide open.
He kept it open mostly, till past 10pm. He always slept late, doing his freelancing. But today he was just too tired.
The neighbours across the street were moving out that day. He could see the new family unpacking their luggage. His window was facing the neighbor's house. A girl about his age was unpacking her things from the car.
"Mhmmmm.. Maybe a new date.." Danny thought, looking at the girl. All the kids in his street went to the same school. So he knew he would get the chance to meet up with this girl.
"Until tomorrow then, girl." said Danny as he closed his window and went to sleep.
