The Detective

The spark made Danny's vision blur. He blinked twice or thrice and opened his eyes again. 

They were inside a garage. Claus opened the door and jumped off the jeep. 

"Get out kid! It's done.. nothing to worry about!" said Claus, closing his door fast. 

Danny, who had never experienced any serious violence was losing his mind. The image of Jimmy's death couldn't be cleared up from his mind. 

"Kid! Get out! I can't wait all day long!!" yelled out Claus. He was waiting for Danny to get out of the car to lock it. 

*ZWOOSH*

Another sound came from inside the house. 

"Good! I think our two mages are here too!" said Claus. 

Danny finally decided to get off the jeep. 

"Finally!" yelled Claus as he locked the car with the key. 

"Guys!!! You're there???"

Reno called out from inside the house. Then, he opened it and came through. 

"Yes... How did it go with your boy?" asked Claus as they entered the house. Conor was right behind Reno.

Conor looked like he was depressed, just like Danny. Conor looked at Danny. They both saw their mournful faces.

Suddenly, someone pulled up the garage door. It was Draco and Hannah. But they didn't look like they were depressed.

"Well.. It seems like your mission went really well!" uttered Claus to Draco. 

"Yes, it did.. The girl did really well.. And she was an experienced one.."

Draco praised Hannah, looking at her a bit proud. 

"Yet.. it was an awful experience!" said Hannah. She looked at the two boys and instantly figured out what happened.

*Hahahaha!*

Reno laughed wittily. The garage door was open wide. The whole neighborhood can see them. 

Hannah looked at her watch. It was 11.30pm. "Holy shit!" yelled Hannah , surprised. Her deadline was 9.00pm. 

She was 2 and a half hours late and she didn't even tell her parents anything. 

"What's the matter??" asked Draco. 

"The time! It's past eleven!" Hannah screamed out. "What should I tell my parents now!!"

Everyone in the room looked at her. Most of them didn't have parents, or the parents didn't give them deadlines. 

"Tell them you went to a party!" said Conor who was silent for a long time. 

His mind was getting back together once again. 

"Yes, that should work." Danny agreed with Conor. 

Both of them talked like they were back to normal. 

"And we all have to go now.. We have to attend school tomorrow! We still haven't escaped our houses to drop out of school.." said Danny wiping off the blood in his nose.

"Yes.. That's a good plan!" chuckled Reno. 

"One thing before you go!" declared Claus getting all of their attention. "Tomorrow, gather up here.. From now on this is your base! Because you guys probably don't want to get your families in trouble!" 

Danny and Hannah nodded. 

"Ok.. At first it was my house.. But ok.. this place is better.." said Conor who felt a little down for quitting their usual base. 

"Good! We'll talk tomorrow.. And do remember one thing! Each day you wake up in the Witch Hunt.. You wake up in a different world.. different than it was yesterday!" 

Claus announced and went into the house through the door within the garage. 

"Goodnight guys... Take care of yourselves!" said Reno and went away. 

Draco stayed to close the doors and park his bike. 

Hannah, Danny and Conor looked at the house. It was like a big mansion. 

Sometimes when Danny passed the house, he wished to build one just like it. 

"Goodnight guys!" yelled Draco as he pulled down the garage door. 

The team waved him goodbye. 

It was time for Conor to depart, since he lived on Upper Parker's Lane. 

Danny and Hannah walked through the road to their houses. Claus and the others lived very close to Danny and Hannah. 

~ The Police Investigation ~

"BARNEY!!! Did he come!!!" yelled out the police officer in the woods, to another police officer who was checking the spot where Linda died.

"Not yet!!!" yelled the other officer. 

Suddenly, a man who was wearing a black coat rushed through the woods. It was almost midnight. 

The flashlights of the officers and the headlights from the police cars lit up the woods. 

"Detective Saber!! We were waiting for your arrival!!" an officer yelled at the man. 

The man had somewhat long blonde hair. With his short beard he looked utterly handsome. 

"I heard the news.. Murder case huh? From the way the girl was murdered.. I had to see this!" 

The detective uttered as he skipped under the caution tape. 

"Yes.. This one is a psyco killer! A hole in the girl's chest!" the old officer said as he got up. 

"Yep.. psycho killers! Haven't seen one in a long time!" 

Saber leaned down and took a look at the ground. There was not much blood in the ground. 

"Hmmmm.. First things first! The girl wasn't murdered in the woods!" the detective declared just by looking at the ground. 

Saber Lionheart was the best detective of the town. He was the one who brought down every criminal in Calliberone except the ones who are on the top of the underworld. 

"Well.. We kinda figured that out.. But our search team didn't report anything from the town!" said the officer. 

"Oh.. Then search for more!" shouted Saber furiously. 

Suddenly, Saber's phone rang. He fetched the phone from his pocket and answered it.

"Saber! Saber! There's another murder!!!" 

The guy on the phone yelled out. 

"What!! Where?? When??" asked Saber, surprised by the story. 

"In the middle of the main road to Lumberone!" the guy said.

"Who died?" 

"A bunch of teenagers!! 4 of them died.. the car was blown up!! One beheaded in the middle of the street!!" yelled the guy.

Saber was shocked. *Beheaded?* he thought as the man screamed on the phone. 

*It's a fucking serial killer!!* 

"Wait John! We'll be right there!!" said Saber and hung up the phone. 

"Its another fucking murder!!! Main road to Lumberone!! Let's go!! Gather up!!!!" 

Saber declared running to his car. All the officers rushed out of the woods to the road and got into their cars. 

Half of the investigation team drove to the new murder case. 

"I'm going to get you murderers! It's only a matter of time!"
