The chief yells to my father "Roland, take your partner, Theo, and her highness and run!" My father grabs Theo as he and my mother turn to the Forrest behind us to escape.
"They won't get far and you know it." The human says calmly as if it were an unavoidable fact. The chief doesn't bother to reply as he charges the incoming enemy with a battle cry on his lips.
I watch as the two sides clash, as their sword cut through leather like paper and the people I have wanted prove my worth to die is horrible ways.
The grandparents I only just got to know torn apart as my grandfather's stomach is cut open and his guts spill out onto the ground. They make him watch as another human pushes my grandmothers face into ground. I hear the tearing of clothing and her screams as my grandfather tries desperately to pick up his spilled guts so he can help her, only to have the thing he sees be that horrific scene.
My Aunt that I had shown so much kindness. Was being nailed to a tree as warriors try but fail to save her.
I see the chief run towards the human that was speaking. Only to watch as his hand is cut off at the wrist and the tendens in his ankle soon follow. I see the human whisper something in the chiefs ear before he grabs him by the hair and hold him up the watch the massaure happening before him. I see tears stream endlessly down his face as he's forced to watch.
The same thing happens across the battle field. The humans never went for a quick death. Slicing off arms and legs, gutting them, killing them with cut after cut, if their lucky. The women.....Not a single one was spared, some were dragged to the side half dead, others were thrown to the ground and.... I turn my head away but I can still hear the tearing of clothes and their screams.
My mind is frozen, I can't do anything, not even cry. I see my mother yelling something but I can't hear it. She runs to a Crack between two rocks just big enough for me and Theo to fit. I catch a glimpes of whats behind her as she hands me to Theo.
I see my father holding off three men as they laugh and take their time cutting him. Killing him slowly. One cut, two cut, threes cuts, they don't stop, but he gets up again and again. I lose sight of him as Theo takes me from my mother.
Another man suddenly appears behind my her and shoves her into the Crack. She can't fight as I watch him tear her dress. What came after I could do nothing but watch.
Nothing made sense. Why? Why us? Why them? Why me? I finally had someone to believe in me and that I could believe in return. What did we do to deserve this?
Why.... Why...Why.....Why, Why, Why, Why, Why?!
I feel something crack in my mind. Time slows to crawl and the world drowns in silence. Flashes of my short life strike across my mind as it mixes with the memory of the battlfield
Why would they do this?
I see the once smiling chief replaced with the same face twisted in pain and unending sadness. The Crack widens.
"Warning. System error,an anomaly has been detected."
How could they do this?
I see my grand parents stand toegther holding each other as they tease my Aunt, replaced my grandfather's desperate then lifeless face. My grandmother's laughter replaced with her screams and my Aunts once prideful eyes, become broken. The Crack spreads across my mind.
"System error.....Anomaly detected....Warning. System error...."
How dare they do this?
I see the love in my fathers eyes fade and close as he turns into a corpse. My mothers gentle touch as she hold me close was a soft smile just for me, turn to tears as she calls for my father who can nolonger hear her screams. Suddenly something gushes out from the cracks as time stops completely. I know what it is.
"Error...anomaly....Warning....Errrr....."
Rage.
HOW DARE THEY DO THIS!!!!!
Suddenly a shockwave radiates cross the battlefield as the rocks around me are no more and the man holding my mother is thrown away screaming in agony as his manhood slowly disintegrates into ashes leaving her unharmed. Theo sits behind me with wide teary eyes as he watches a scene he will never forget.
The three men that are now standing over my Father's corpse are startle by the shockwave. Everything and everyone comes to a stand still as a suffocating pressure descends on the battlefield. Everyone looks up to the sky as day turns to night.
The Moon is full as it shines behind the siloet of a woman with shining silver eyes and highlights in her hair. Her beauty is ethereal but the wrath in her eyes is the personification of savagry. She's wearing a short dress that reachs just above her knees as it flows with an unknown breeze much like mercury.
As she stand they watch as both her eyes and highlights turn a metallic red along with the once silver moon behind her. The wind brings her whispered words to their ears.
"How dare you."
