I trembled at the sight of all of them looking at me. I instinctively felt that I would die if I moved.

The stone I threw would have my smell on it. And the ants picked up on that with their extraordinary sense of smell. I realized late that this would happen.

The ants locked onto me but still hesitating and probably estimating my level of threat and I knew they would know soon that I was a wimp. I had to get out of there that instant or it was over. I knew that I had to run away. As I tried to run away my legs gave out and fell. I wasn't scared enough to knock out my balance. It was bizarre that I had stamina and yet I couldn't do it.

I was done for. My whole life had come to this. Getting eaten by ants. I gave up.

***booof***

Something landed in front of me just as I was about to give up.

"Oiii are you ok? Get up and ready yourself, they're coming"

All the ants started rushing towards us.

"We won't get more than a minute, Run on my cue and get the eggs. I'll watch your rear"

"What cue? What?"

"Close your ears and run"

All the ants started waving and were getting out of balance. I started running out of mutual interest. I grabbed 12 eggs and got back to the stranger.

"Who are you?"

" Do you have enough eggs for both of us?"

"Why'd you help me"

"I help everybody in need, although earlier I caused you to fall. So this was compensation for it. I deeply apologise as it could've costed your life."

"Earlier?" "A part of my ability knocked out your balance"

That was it. It made sense about how my legs went out of balance earlier. I asked his name and he replied "ikos". I gotta admit that was the dumbest name I've heard in a while. Although I was in no position to make that joke aloud. He was as tall as me but bulkier.

"Do you have extra eggs?"

" I do, I'd be ok to give them to you"

I wondered what he wanted with the extra eggs and he did the unthinkable. He put the eggs near the ants at a safe distance and returned them. He was as chivalrous as one could get.

I asked him if he wanted to team up with me as he had collected his eggs and we had to spend 24hours together.

"I humbly decline. The act earlier was compensation for the harm that was caused. I am afraid I can't team up with my competition." And he just walked away. He felt mysterious but I just had to let him go as he made sense.

I knew I had to figure out my abilities. If it weren't for Ikos's aid I wouldn't have come out of that situation unharmed. I had 20 hours to experiment.

I tried to exert pressure on my hands to see if I had abilities that came out of my hands. I tried to stress my legs and checked out my strength. Nothing worked so I guessed it could be a special ability that worked without my body.

I saw a huge purple light beam in the sky. Although I was suspicious I wanted to check it as it might give a clue about where the exit would be.

I was naturally driven to it. Fate had me meet ikos there. Ikos and a guy emitting the purple beam were standing there.

Ikos and purple were staring each other down. I kept observing them from a km away for safety and I noticed ikos walking up to him. They weren't being pleasant to each other. The purple light stopped from the person and

***Clash***

The purple guy hit ikos who pulled up his hands to guard

Ikos dashed backwards and raised his hands. He produced some sort of waves with his hands. The waves went towards the purple guy and kept vanishing.

Ikos charged at him without wasted movement and swung out a huge uppercut while his elbow emitted those waves instantaneously. The purple guy held the uppercut with both his hands and the energy vanished.

The Purple guy's light started glowing again and he instantly stepped back and vanished into thin air.

Ikos emitted waves around him in a circle like a sonar. He covered a huge area.

The waves reached me and I could see them bend across my body.

I revealed myself to ikos and approached him.

"Following me around like this will put you in danger. I assume you saw the guy I went against. He's not a normal guy. He's the behemoth's subordinate MINUS"

I told him how I never followed him and told him I followed the purple beam of light he was emitting.

"What purple beam are you talking about? "
