Path to the Fire Temple

As Chino and Namaru make their way through the forest, headed toward the Fire Temple, they hear a rustle nearby, but think nothing of it and keep walking. They get a few more yards, and 5 Samurai all jump out of nearby bushes and trees. Namaru doesn't look pleased at all. "Good afternoon. Is there something we can help you boys with?" he says sounding cocky. One of the Samurai shouts, "Get the intruders!" and they all start running toward Namaru and Chino.

Chino steps in front of Namaru before saying, "Stand back. I got this. Let's go, Matatabi," but nothing happens, as Chino forgot he no longer has Matatabi, and the Samurai all stop to laugh. Looking defeated and embarrassed, Namaru jumps in the air, and throws 3 senbon needles at one of the men, incapacitating him as they each hit a vital nerve. During this act, Chino snapped out of his embarrassed state, charged one of the samurai, and dispatched him with a fatal slice to the throat. As Namaru lands, Chino backs up so they are both standing back to back, and Namaru draws his blade, ready for combat.

One of 3 remaining Samurai charged Namaru swinging is blade, slicing Namaru in half. Looking proud of himself, he hears a voice behind him. "Looking for me?" The samurai turns around, frightened to see Namaru standing right behind him, fully in tact. He had used a shadow clone. "You samurai never were the smartest," Namaru says as he jumps in the air, weaving a few hand seals. Chino notices the hand seals while he is fighting off the remaining two Samurai, and uses a substitution to get out of the way and into a tree.

Namaru finishes off on the tiger seal, and takes a deep breath in. "Fire Style: Grand Fireball Jutsu!" A raging fireball flies at the opponents, hitting all of them, instantly killing 2. When Namaru lands, he and Chino see there is one who endured the attack. Namaru says, "You must be the captain. No matter." Chino jumps down out the tree he went to, landing behind the Samurai, opening the 6th gate.

The samurai turns around to be kicked in the air, followed by Chino, who takes a crane stance and delivers a barrage of punches to the samurai. The punches are so fast, they are set ablaze. "Morning Peacock!" The samurai is sent crashing to the ground coated in flames. Namaru and Chino walk over to find him dead, his armor melted, and his skin heavily charred. The two look at each other, and turn around to continue their journey toward the Fire Temple.
