The Return of Chino

"You have a sword? Where at?" "My friend sealed it away in a pocket dimension known as the Kamui. I will need him alive in order to get it, which is why you are here." Yuri looks at Namaru with narrowed eyes, confused. Namaru points to a spot a few feet away. "Go sit over there." Yuri obliges, and Namaru pulls a strand of hair out of a pouch on the side of his thigh. He pulls out a scroll, places the hair on it, and weaves a few hand seals and brings the scroll to the ground. "Summoning Jutsu: Reanimation!"

A giant seal covers the ground under Yuri as Namaru stands behind him. Ash begins to cling to Yuri and all he can do is scream in agony. After a few moments pass of endless screaming, it eventually dies down. The ash falls away to reveal a Shinobi with long, shaggy brown hair, dressed in standard leaf attire, wearing a Leaf Flak covered by a white robe with a red flame pattern around the hem. he slowly stands up and turns around. "N-Namaru? What is this?"

"Chino, my friend. You've returned to the land of the living through Reanimation." Chino immediately starts weaving hand seals, the same ones Namaru used to cast the jutsu. The Reanimation contract is immediately lifted, and Chino is now free of the Reanimation. "You couldn't hold me for long, my friend," Chino finally says after a short pause. "I wasn't planning on it, Chino." "Why have you brought me back?"

"I need your help. I somehow sealed myself away in ice for over 200 years. The Samurai have won the war, and this is what has become of the Hidden Leaf and the Land of Fire," Namaru states gesturing to what is behind him. Chino just stares out at what has become of their home. "What have they done?" "When the Samurai took over, they completely banned all use of chakra, and now, a century later, it is still going on. My plan is to overtake the Samurai and reclaim our home, but I can't do it alone. I mean, I probably could, easily, but I don't want to. I would rather have you by my side. It will also take more than the 2 of us. If we can find people who still believe in the power of chakra, we can form a resistance and push back the Samurai, hopefully ending their reign of terror."

"That is a possibility, but first, I need Matatabi back." "You rely on her power too much. Why not use a power that is your own?" "Matatabi IS my power. I've had her since I was five," Chino fires off. "Didn't mean to upset you or anything." "If you didn't want to upset me, then why did you abandon your post as Hokage. We could have used your help. The 8th died instantaneously after being hit with a Samurai blade. You know they have a range since they can extend their reach with their chakra."

"But so do we. We are shinobi. There is nothing they can do that we can't do better. They have nothing on us. The only reason they won was because all of you held back until you died on your own. If anything, you don't deserve Matatabi's power." "Because Saiken would've done better? Cut the crap." "Saiken is stronger, yes, but you have a deeper connection with Matatabi than I have with Saiken. I don't even know why we're fighting.

"We are fighting because you betrayed your village." "I didn't betray the village. Had I betrayed the village, I wouldn't be asking a zombie's help to save it." Chino thinks a moment. "You're right. At least you're back to save it when it needs it most, but how are we going to save it?" "Well, first, can I ask a favor of you, Chino?" "What would that be, Namaru?" "A while back, you put my sword in your Pseudo Kamui Dimension. I was wondering if I could have her back? I don't hardly fight without her." Chino gives Namaru a surprised look. "Of course you can." He uncovers his Mangekyou Sharingan, and reaches his arm through a small portal. He fumbles around for a bit, and drags out a long black-sheathed sword, with a black dragon-shaped handle that has a symbol that looks just like Namaru's Mangekyou Sharingan in it in a red orb in either side of the handle. "Here you go." Namaru grabs the sword and extracts it from Chino's hands. "Hello, gorgeous."
