Taking Back The Ninja World

While Chino is currently living in his cabin in the Land of Ice, Namaru has returned to the Leaf Village to try and reclaim his title of Hokage. Upon arriving in the village, not everyone was thrilled to see him, as stories of how the 10th betrayed the village were passed down from the time he left up until now. All of the Samurai had fled due to the death of Musashi, but the civilians had all remained, angry and ready to scream at Namaru. Someone even went as far as to throw a kunai at him, which he dodged, caught, and threw into a nearby pole. This act scared the civilians of the village who were all gathered around him screaming, and they all quickly shut up, afraid one of them was next. After a couple seconds of silence, Namaru finally speaks.

"I am Namaru. Contrary to popular belief, I didn't betray the village. While, yes, I DID run away and hide from my responsibilities as Hokage, the village was never betrayed. Had I betrayed the village, you all would still be under Samurai control."

One of the civilians spoke up. "We saw you had the 9th with you, but he looked different. Why is that, and how do we know you weren't obeying orders from your higher up?"

"How you saw Lord 9th was not how he originally was. He was reanimated...by me. I returned of my own fruition to save all of you from the Samurai. Sure, I may not be the most honorable Shinobi because of what I did in the past, but I still care for the village, and I knew that what I saw going on here wasn't right in any way, shape, or form. As soon as I saw the village's current state, I was infuriated. So much, to the point that I sacrificed a man to bring back the only man who could help me fight against the Samurai menace. That man just so happened to be the 9th Hokage, and my best friend. Had I known this was going to happen to the village I never would've left. You act as if I knew this was going to happen and ran away to avoid death. That is far from the case. While, yes, at the time that I ran, I only had control over the Anbu Black Ops, I knew, eventually, I would be leading the village, and didn't want that yet. I did run away from responsibility, but it was responsibility I knew I wasn't mentally ready to handle."

Another civilian speaks up. "How did you survive for so long? It's been over 200 years since your disappearance," to which Namaru replies,

"I sealed myself away in an Ice Release prison not too far from here. You really shouldn't be asking me all these questions. What you need to ask, and who you need to ask it to, is to ask yourselves what you're going to do now. With Musashi dead, the village needs a leader, a Hokage."

A 3rd civilian pipes off, "If you think we're just going to let you resume your place as Hokage, you're dead wrong. You may be fooling some of these jokers, but you aren't fooling me. You ran away while the other Hokage defended us against the Samurai attack. I think I speak for everyone when I say I don't believe your story for a second, and you aren't welcome here, so leave."

This outburst triggers a response from the crowd, and they all start screaming again. The guy who got them riled up weakly throws a kunai at Namaru, as he doesn't know how to throw a kunai, which Namaru catches perfectly, and throws back at him at high speeds, and it sticks into the wall directly behind him mere inches from his face. A lady, more specifically, the previous man's wife, runs up to Namaru and slaps him across the face, jerking his head to the right. While is head is off to the right, he shuffles his Kirokugan into the Byakugan and turns back to the lady with a wicked grin, and takes a strange stance none of them have ever seen before.

Namaru screams, "8 Trigrams! 256 Palms!" and strikes nearly every single one of her very faint chakra points with chakra-infused jabs, causing her to collapse and shrivel up in pain. "If you aren't going to listen to reason, I guess I will have to use force. You all know as well as I do that you need a village leader. That is exactly why I'm here. Now I am going to go sit up in that office, and all of you are going to say nothing to me unless you have Hokage business to discuss with me. But, seeing as that will be quite a ways into the future, you all are to say absolutely nothing."

Namaru walks off toward the Hokage office, and everyone watches in fear while deep down, they know they need a Hokage, and he's the only man qualified for the job. As they all begin to walk away accepting that they are under Namaru's rule, a few of them gather up, and one starts giving commands. That man's wife is currently on the ground writing in pain.

"You stay with me. We are going to get my wife to the hospital to the only Medical Ninja Musashi would allow. You wait here for me to return. We need to travel to the Land of Ice and tell the 9th about what happened here. Last I heard, that was where he was. If any man knows how to fix this, it's him."

The other civilian agrees, and waits for the other to return. Once he arrives, they head out toward the Land of Ice, hoping to find Chino. After a 3 day trip, they finally arrive in the outskirts of the Land of Ice, where one of them points to a smoke stack in the distance.

"Look. Over there. I see smoke. Maybe that's where the 9th is staying."

As soon as they cross the border to the Land of Ice, they are hit with instant cold air.

"We have to try to tough it out and make it there. It's the only way to save the village from Namaru."

After a half hour of travel, they both collapse from the sheer cold and pass out, only to wake up inside a warm cabin next to a roaring fire. They begin to look around and hear a voice behind them.

"I see the two of you are finally awake. What brings you Leaf civilians all the way out here?" That voice belonged to none other that Chino Tsurara, the 9th Hokage.

"How did you know we were from the Leaf?"

"I know a face when I see one. When myself and my team were surveying the village, I saw the two of you. As a matter of fact, if I remember correctly, you were married," he replies as he points to the guy on the right. "How's your wife doing?"

"Not good sir. Namaru returned to the Leaf village, and is trying to take it by force. She slapped him and he hit her with a strange technique that struck her repeatedly until she fell down to the ground writhing in pain."

Chino looks very puzzled. "Did he say anything while executing the attack?"

"Yes, sir. he screamed 8 something, followed by a larger number and a bunch of strikes to my wife."

Chino begins to look frightened. "8 Trigrams, 256 Palms?"

"That's it, Lord 9th. That's exactly what he screamed."

"We need to leave. Quick. That attack has enough of an effect on someone with strong Chakra control and a strong Chakra network. Considering the fact she probably has no Chakra control, and therefore a weak Chakra network, that attack could easily kill her if not treated quickly enough."

"No need to worry about that, sir. We rushed her to the hospital where there is one Medical Ninja that Musashi allowed to exist just in case his soldiers ever needed healing. After they all left, she stayed behind and opened the hospital to the public. She is currently working on her as we speak."

"That's good, but I don't know if it's going to be good enough. It depends on how well trained that Medical Ninja is. As far as Samurai go, they should only need physical attack healing done to the exterior of the body, not the Chakra network. She probably only has training in physical healing because of the outlaw of Chakra use amongst the civilians. The Samurai probably never expected Chakra-based attacks. Right now, your wife probably needs a healer with extensive training like myself or Namaru. If he's the man I think he is, he would have gotten over himself by now and went to help heal her. There's only one way to be safe. All 3 of us need to get back to the Village, pronto."

"But how are we going to-" Chino instantly enters his Six Paths mode, which is a bright Matatabi Blue.

"Never mind."

Chino grabs the two and flies off toward the Leaf Village at blinding speeds, leaving a bright blue aura trail in his wake. They arrived at the Leaf within a matter of a few hours. Chino lands outside the hospital, exits his mode, and all 3 rush inside. They find the wife's room, to find her barely hanging on. Chino needed to only take one look at her to know exactly what was wrong, and how to fix it.

"His final strike hit her right in her Chakra pool. This isn't good. The only one who can heal her, now, is Namaru himself. If he had only used the standard maximum of 128 Palms like most other Hyuga, I could easily heal her, but since he used 256 Palms, which he developed himself from the Gentle Fist art, there's nothing I can do. I don't know how to reverse that many blows. The only good thing, is that he has been able to use 512 Palms, which would strike all of her Chakra points and kill her instantly, with room for more hits. Either way, back to the main subject, he is the only one who can reverse this. She doesn't have long, an hour at best."

The husband interjects.

"I am not letting him lay a single hand on my wife. Not after what he did before. I don't trust him."

"At this point, what choice do you have? If you want her to live, you have to go talk to him. He is the best healer I have ever met since his grandmother, Sakura Haruno."

"He's the grandson of THE Sakura Haruno? That also means he's-"

"The grandson of Sasuke Uchiha. He got all of his medical abilities from Sakura. If anyone can heal your wife, it's him."

"Fine. I'll go talk to him, but if I don't come back, I was killed." With these words, the husband leaves for the Hokage Office. As soon as he gets there, he knocks on the door.

"Who dares disturb me? This better be important." The man slowly opens the door, and walks in, silent. "What do YOU want?"

"It's my wife. After you struck her, she was hospitalized, and is in critical condition. She's nearly dead."

"That's my problem, how?"

The man begins to cry. "Please. She's all I got left. Our kids were killed by Musashi's men. I can't bare to lose her, too."

"Ugh. Fine. Take me to her."

Namaru stands up, and they both leave the office, and head to the hospital. Once they walk into the room, Namaru sees Chino, but completely ignores him, and heads straight to the still unconscious woman, and shuffles his Kirokugan.

"Byakugan."

Namaru looks her up and down, then immediately gets to work healing her. He is completely finished in a matter of mere minutes. He turns to the husband.

"She'll be awake in a couple hours. Bother me with such frivolous things again, and I will kill you myself."

As Namaru begins to leave, Chino stops him.

"We need to talk in your office."

"Fine. Let's go."

The two head back to the Hokage office, and Chino begins the conversation.

"You can't keep doing this, Namaru."

"Doing what?"

"Trying to take the village by force. You're scaring our people."

"OUR people? You died, remember? That made me full time Hokage. These are MY people, and I will treat them in whatever way I please."

"What has gotten into you? You have to remember they've never had an actual Hokage. These people have only ever lived under Musashi. They aren't used to having a Ninja lead the village. With the way you're trying to force yourself onto them, it makes you no better than Musashi. He ruled them with an iron fist, and as soon as they thought they were free, you moved in and started doing the same exact thing."

"Which is why you would think they wouldn't care."

"They HATED the way Musashi ruled. What makes you think they're going to be okay with yours, which isn't any better. You're acting like a fool, Namaru, and probably all because of Saiken's death, and now the village isn't accepting you. You were right to assume you weren't ready for the mantle of Hokage, because you weren't, and still aren't."

"Those are fighting words. You want to fight?! I would happily oblige!"

"If that's what it will take you bring you back to your senses, then let's go somewhere far from the village and do this."

"How about the area where Madara and Hashirama fought, and where 2 fights between Naruto and Sasuke were held?"

"Sounds fine to me. To the Valley of the End."

The 2 quickly depart for the Valley of the End to fight, and see if Chino can knock some sense into Namaru. As soon as they get there, they both face each other.

"May the best ninja win, Namaru."

"Heh. I plan to. Anything to get you to shut up and go back into hiding in that frigid wasteland."

They both make the Traditional Shinobi Sparring's Seal of Confrontation, which is protocol before a duel, and back away from each other.

"If you dare hold back, Chino, I will kill you myself."

"I don't plan to hold back, but I also don't plan to use Matatabi, either."

"Use her. It's the only way you'll win. It's also the only thing you're good at."

"Fine. I guess it's time I prove you otherwise."

Chino immediately activates his Armored Susanoo, which is Teal in color, and Namaru activates his Armored Susanoo in return. They both dash at each other, and their weapons collide, Chino's Susanoo wielding a Greatsword, and Namaru's wielding Dual Katanas. Namaru strikes Chino's blade with his right Katana, and swings at Chino's side with his left. Chino notices and quickly flickers backward, barely able to keep balance.

"Fine. You made me do this."

Chino deactivates his Susanoo, and enters Matatabi Link Mode. He then holds up his right hand, forms a Tailed Beast Ball, and hurls it at Namaru. It's a direct hit. When the smoke clears, a giant, powder blue, Perfect Susanoo, takes the place of Namaru's Armored Susanoo. It's simply standing there in a fighting stance. He lunges at Chino, and swats him to the right, causing him to fly directly into a mountain. Without giving him a chance to recover, Namaru quickly forms a Yasaka Ring, and hurls it at Chino, leaving a huge crater in the side of the mountain, and battering Chino.

Chino emerges from the smoke, dust, and debris in his Six Paths mode combined with Matatabi's Chakra. He literally flies at Namaru at blinding speeds, and lands right in front of him. Chino slowly begins to raise off of the ground, holding a Truth Seeking Orb. Namaru sees this and quickly activates his Rinnegan, and deactivates his Susanoo. Chino throws his Truth Seeking Orb at Namaru.

"Take this! Truth Seeking Orb!"

Namaru activates the Preta Path and holds up his right hand. As soon as the Truth Seeking Orb makes contact, it is instantly absorbed, which surprises Chino. Usually, if the Preta Path absorbs something that is classified as senjutsu, it has adverse effects, but since Namaru also has Slug Sage chakra, he has no problem absorbing it. Seeing that he can't use the Truth Seeking Orbs on Namaru, Chino needs to think of a different method. Suddenly, he is spoken to by Matatabi.

"Chino. Remember the technique Namaru used on Musashi?"

"Baryon Mode, yeah."

"Well, why don't WE use it?"

"Because you'll die."

"I don't care. Honestly, I couldn't care less. I won't watch him completely manhandle you. We're using the mode."

All Chino can do is agree since he knows of he keeps denying Matatabi, she'll just take over and do it herself. While Chino is distracted, Namaru activates his Armored Susanoo, and throws another Yasaka Bead Ring at Chino, which Chino sees, and sticks his hand out. Once the smoke clears from the explosion, Chino is standing there in his own Baryon Mode.

"You shouldn't have done that, Chino. Time for my ultimate technique."

Namaru floats up into the air, activating his Perfect Susanoo. He then stretches his arms out and his Susanoo compresses down into regular armor pieces, and adhere to Namaru's body like a suit of armor. Namaru, then, coats the Susanoo Suit of Armor in Sage Chakra. As the armor shrank the dual katanas disappeared, so Namaru drew his own sword, which he called the Black Flame Dagger. The secret of this blade, is that it was formed from Amaterasu, and if broken, can easily reform. Namaru had the blade custom made for himself...by himself.

"Have fun trying to get through this. I have never had to use this technique unless I was fighting Sasuke. Even he never got through it."

"Sasuke wasn't a Jinchuuriki," Chino screams as he flies forward at Namaru, and swings a punch. Namaru coats himself in a white aura, and once Chino's punch makes contact, the aura hardens and explodes outward, which stabs Chino hand and arm, and sends him reeling.

"You're not the only one with secret techniques. Smoke Release. I derived it from Fire Release and Wind Release...with a little bit of Yang Chakra mixed in. While Sand is more for Defense, my smoke..." Namaru disappears into thin air, "...is for Offense."

Namaru reforms behind Chino, who quickly forms a blade from his Tsurara Ice Release, and swings it at Namaru, who quickly disperses into smoke. Chino looks around, finds Namaru with his Sharingan, and uses this opportunity to fly at Namaru and punch him relentlessly with all he's got in him. Chino is attacking Namaru so quickly, Namaru can't even defend himself...until...

"Goodbye...Chino..."

After a few minutes of completely pummeling Namaru, Chino's Baryon finally runs out. As Chino is about to pass out. Suddenly, Namaru poofs away. A Shadow Clone. Then, the real Namaru reforms from Smoke in front of Chino, and lunges at him, blade ready. In a final attempt to defend himself, Chino weakly raises his Susanoo, which Namaru passes right through, and kicks Chino out the back of it and into the mountain behind him. Chino collapses onto the ground, crying, and Namaru slowly walks toward him, reverting back to his normal state.

"Pity. I didn't even use Truth Seeking Orbs. You still can't beat me, even without Saiken. But, that fight got me thinking. Maybe you're right."

Chino looks up in confusion, and in-between tears asks,

"Huh? What do you mean MAYBE I'm right?"

"Exactly that. The people of the Leaf will never accept me for who I am. There's no point in trying to force myself on them. Why don't we go appoint one of them as Hokage, and go create our own village, like Hashirama and Madara?"

"Maybe that isn't such a bad idea, but that's not what I was getting at. I was trying to say of course I was right. There's no maybe about it."

"You went as far on me as I did on Musashi. You sacrificed Matatabi."

"That was her idea, not mine. She was getting tired of me getting pummeled. There was no denying her either, since she would have just taken over and did it anyway."

Namaru gives a faint smile.

"Let's get back to the Leaf, and tell everyone the news."

Namaru heals Chino's wounds, then his own, and they both stand and head back to the Leaf Village.
