Confession

Dee POV

The wind starts picking up in the forenoon. The cold breeze blowing on her skin the moment she moved on the road. The road was kind of noiseless and smooth much to her liking. Merely a tad car, lorry and motorcycle were moving on the road at the moment. She was riding her motorcycle to school with a charismatic pose as a man would do but a happy expression. She knows today will be the last day as in the last subject and she will get her freedom in the afternoon. Yet not even a smile could be seen on her front.

There is no such freedom if she is still alive. She wants to get out of her comfort zone as she will be an adult in a couple of weeks. No easy way to get what she wants. If she wants to get straight A's, she must get out of her comfort zone. Learn, study and practice. Leisure time is also freedom but that was another matter for her.

She was grateful for that but the freedom she really wants is dead. Some matters made her easily surrender with hope. Yet she chose to give up. And this time she will show them, who look down on her as being a tomboy, she could get what she wants with hope and of course it would shut their judge a book by its cover and laser mouth. But still, she wants to be dead at times caused their words shot deep in her ticker. Is it wrong to be a tomboy?

She arrived not long after and parking her motor in the middle. She then walked inside and headed to the Dataran. She went to her favourite spot as well as the other two and sat on the tar while separating her bag from her back. She put the bag on the tar and open it to find her Mathematic exercise books. She flipped the pages one by one and began memorizing the formula and looked at how the answers were made. Good for her she got a nice grade for this subject which was an A and had to teach her 2 best friends 2 weeks prior to the beginning of the examination.

Concentration got the better of her the moment she opened her exercise book. Her best friends later arrived and sat beside her as Nurul was on her left and Aifaa's on the right. They greeted her after that and she answered back without looking at them. The two then began doing what she had done earlier when she sat down on the tar.

30 minutes had passed, she cannot wait to answer both paper 1 and paper 2 as well as she wants to finish early and go back home after. She had been doing Mathematics exercises since last year. Every.single.day. Practice makes perfect indeed. It was fifteen past 7 and the teacher on duty reminded all the students to bring the i/c, examination slip and pencil box as well and no bags were allowed inside.

Before walking into the examination hall, she prayed so she will do well and wants her memory to be strong until the end as well as for her best friends to boot. She then starts to walk inside while hands holding those 3 important things and sat on her chair. Aifaa and Nurul were looking at each other while making a fist as a sign of fighting and punch the air. Then, they moved their eyes to her way. She merely eyed Aifaa and Nurul then smiling and giggling at their antics. Silly wags.

Dee was leisurely walking to the motorcycle parking lot after the last paper ended with ice cream in her hand. And finally! SPM done! No more exams! For now. She finished the remaining ice cream and rub her hands to clean the ice cream cone dust. She reached for her motorcycle and put her bag in the basket. She suddenly saw 10 sen on the side of her basket and wonders whose coin was it. Even just 10 sen it was still valuable for her.

'Whose 10 sen is this? I don't remember putting my money in the basket' She asked herself in her thought. Strange.

'But it's in my basket... means that it's mine, yes? Ya... definitely mine' She whispered while caressing the coin. Is it really her's?

'How come I forgot I put it here? Or it slipped from my wallet, perhaps?' She eluded while accidentally murmured in an audible sound and picked the coin later.

There was one male student nearby under a big tree who looked at her with both brows raised and one familiar senior behind merely looking at her. She mouthed sorry to the boy with an apologetic countenance as she did it by accident but the senior. She then sat on the seat and inserted her left hand in her pocket searching for her motorcycle key. While reaching for the key, the senior approaching her with a 'wanna ask for something' face. She did not perceive he was at the back of her but saw him on the right side mirror after. She shockingly stared at him while stay put watching his moves. He then started speaking.

"Assalamualaikum hi, Dee" He said with the 'wanna say something' face.

"Oh, waalaikummussalam hi Nazri" She replied while furrowing her eyebrows but gets unnoticed by him.

"Um... can I talk to you for a minute?" He seemed hesitant yet continue with his speech.

"What you wanna talk about?" She curiously questioned him with a tad of serious tone but gentle as well.

"Uh... can we talk under the tree right there?" He paused a second and spoke hesitantly while his index finger showing a huge and long tree that was 20 metres away from her spot.

"Oh, it's quite far but yes, we can" She discerned it was a bit far but shrugged it off after and go along with him while walking to the mentioned tree together.

"So... what is it you wanna talk about?" She queried while swaying her hands back and front before putting one of her hands in her pocket.

"I-um... actually..." His peepers shaky looking at everywhere but her.

"Uh... yes?" She impatiently asked one more time as he did not answer her several questions.

"I'm sorry. I'm a bit nervous... so..." He apologised and told her a reason for his shaky peepers.

"Oh, it's okay. But why are you nervous?" She said nonchalantly.

"Um... actually... I like you since the first time I saw you in the Silat Club" He confessed.

"O-wa-wait, what?" She blurred then perceived his shocking confession.

"I've had been crushing on you since then and do you accept me?" He boldly confessed further. That was unexpected.

"I know we've been friends since then but... I'm sorry" She told with an apologetic front.

"I thought you're single?" He agog.

"I'm not interested to be in a relationship right now" She gently stated albeit he nearly made her blood boiled.

"Ah..." A crestfallen tone could be heard.

"I'm sorry, Nazri" She made an apology once again.

"I-uh... But why?" He looked desperate as his question began to make her reach her limit.

"I told you already" She declared and her tone rose a little.

"But I like you, Dee... very much. I wanna marry you" He began saying piffle.

"Ya Allah, I told you, Nazri... and I don't like you. You should just find someone else" She uttered every word clearly without hesitation so he would let her go.

"No, I want you only... please be my girlfriend" He was as stubborn as a mule and she was tired of his antics.

'Ya Allah... why is he so stubborn?!! Better I get going' She exasperated thought as she wants to run away from this sh*t.

"Sorry, I have to go now" She murmured an excuse and instantly trod away.

"Wait!" He yelled not finished with his queries yet.

She immediately paced to her motorcycle before he could catch her up and straight away rode to her house. She let out a heavy sigh once she reached while taking off the helmet on her head. She locked her motorcycle and walked to the door. She stuck a house key into the keyhole and pushed the doorknob down thus she stepped inside and locked the door later.

She went upstairs and cleaned herself before making lunch. She wore a black printed t-shirt matched with her dark blue track pants then went to the kitchen and making her so-called lunch, a packet of curry instant noodles. Meh. But at least it could fill her empty stomach. For the moment. Hehe.

She began boiling water in a small pot and put the instant noodle until its size multiplied a little. She tossed the water full of candles and boiled another water as well as put the seasoning after it was boiled and put the noodle at once. She shut off the gas and suddenly her stomach grumbling twice. Peckish. She brought the pot to the living room and switched on the television. Her eyeballs lazily watched a drama while eating the curry noodle. She huffed then cast her mind back to her first meeting with Nazri.

Asking her many questions, greeted her with a grin on his face whenever they met and....
